Lety saved the day!! On our way to Yosemite from Orange County I realized I had forgotten to pack my daily contact lenses right after I threw away the pair I was wearing. I was practically blind and stressed I wouldn't be able to see the rest of the trip. I showed up to Stanton optical unannounced and Lety immediately found me a sample monthly trial pair in my prescription. She let me use the exam room to try them on to make sure they fit well and sent me on my way with a free sample of saline solution and contact lense case. Their office was welcoming and friendly and happy to help for free. Thank you Lety!! read more

Lies they tell !!!!! Their same day frames is lies there never done the same day its at least a one week wait at best!!! Andddddd the frames available for their promotions of two frames for 79$ are lame they put the most basic pairs. Like reasonable price but still lies. read more

Pedro and the technician who conducted my initial pre-exams provided excellent customer service all around. Both were patient and very thorough in their explanation in every step of the way. Pedro even took time to share with me various options leading to the best overall pricing and options for my particular needs. I called yesterday to get info on promotions! i was told there was a promotion going on on contact lenses which the exam would be free. I scheduled and appointment. I arrived to my appointment and i was told the only way the promotion applies was without an insurance, which i was not told and did verify with them if they take the insurance i have. I don't understand why they lie to people just to bring them in and get more money out of people! So frustrating!!!! read more

Wow!!! I was so impressed with the service and quality of the Stanton Optical in Visalia. My teenager lost her glasses and we needed another pair as quickly as possible. With a prescription from a different doctor in hand we decided to check them out. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. Seth was absolutely amazing. We were in and out with a new pair of cute high quality glasses in less than an hour. We left so happy! Our whole family will be going back for new glasses soon. read more

I am not a customer of Stanton, so I am not sure about their low overall rating. Let me tell you my story. I broke my glasses the other day. They are the rimless like they have a thin plastic string holding the lenses in place. I snapped one. I looked online for "eyewear repair," and Stanton came up. I went there, showed the fellow the issue. Without hesitation he said that it could be fixed in 10 minutes. I had to sign a paper saying they were not Stanton glasses. He fixed them as stated. The surprising thing is he said "no charge" when I asked to pay. Now, maybe it was my lucky day, or it's their policy. Regardless, that service gets you a 5-star rating in my book. read more

First time at Staton Optical in Visalia, and I can honestly say that I was assisted by one of their very best, Lizette. I expressed my frustration of not being able to go 4-6 weeks without my glasses; she managed to provide a turnaround time of two weeks. Not only did she understand me, but she also went above and beyond to provide me with a great price for two pairs of glasses. Lizette showed compassion for my situation and also provided exceptional customer service! I will definitely be recommending Staton Optical to family and friends. Thank you, Lizette, for all your help!! read more

Went into the Stanton for an eye glass exam. Only good thing about this place was that they were able to get me in the same day. Martha tried to scam me. Somehow, she wanted me to pay almost $400 for a pair of glasses and lied saying she can only bill my insurance for the exam AND frames (I already had my frames) I went to Costco and got 2 pairs for $77 after insurance, where Stanton was going to scam me into $400 for 1 pair even with my own frames. read more

Lily was amazing! She worked with us the whole time and made sure we were happy! She went above and beyond.

This is my first experience with Stanton, Lily gave such great customer service. I will definitely be back again for services. Thanks!

one of the staffs gave me my glasses even though the process wasn't done yet (I didn't know). I went back the next day and complained about how the lenses were different. the staff that gave me the glasses said that he wasn't supposed to give them to me yet, he just wanted to be nice and give them to me. he still charged me even though i told him I didn't want them anymore. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I scheduled an eye exam for my son and when I went in they said they had no dr for an eye exam. Why would they schedule you if there's no dr? They stated that the call center is not aware of their dr hours. Makes no sense! Horrible way to run a business!!! read more

If I could give a negative 10 stars for this horrendous place, I would. They have false advertising on their windows, false advertising on quick return for glasses and when your glasses do come in, they don't bother to call you to tell you they came in. You just have to keep calling to find out if your glasses came in. their prices are horrendous way too high. They get you in there, set you down and start jacking up the price per set of glasses with all kinds of add-ons that is not told to you in the beginning. Do not go to this place for your eyecare and eyewear unless you are looking for inadequate overpriced services. read more

I came here to get new glasses, they used my old prescription (one that was given for contacts). when i came to try on my glasses the prescription was way off. The lady helping me, was the "store manager" was peer pressuring me to buy the glasses. She gave me a price of $320 first, then i said no ill hold off, lowered it to $205, i said its really okay ill come next time, then she said $180, so i said okay fine. all for them to be the wrong prescription and she couldn't give me my cash back the same day, so a 30 day check was to be mailed. i will continue to wait on my check. No wonder theres so many lawsuits filed against them after doing some research. read more

Amazing help, great communication and a huge thank you to Seth he was a great help who knew one person can go a long way.

If I could rate this place a negative five stars I would. Elvis the manager is a complete liar and a bully. This has been the worse eye wear experience that left me with PTSD. They lost my sisters glasses I order and lied about it. Then tried to play the Karen victim tongue game "I need you to please calm down." lol y'all loose my stuff then want me to calm down? I called customer service over a week ago and was assured someone would call me. The customer service line is just as rude with a langue barrier making difficult to understand what message they're trying to deliver over the phone. Run!!! Don't waist your money if you're a person of color.you will be treated with such a lack of care and concern. Period. read more

This is the worse Optical I have ever been. The Martha girl supposedly the manager? She's a liar se told me that my insurance was on their network and it wasn't she missed size my eyes so they had to send my glasses back twice, she also stated for me to pay cash and I did pay 500.00 and none of this money was reimbursed from my insurance because they are OUT of my insurance network she lied to me just to have my business.. and at the end she won't even return my calls and hide every time I stop by Don't believe anything they tell you get everything in writing! I won't recommend this place to anyone and I would never go back read more

10/10 Seth was very helpful and friendly. He made sure I found the right glasses and answered all my questions. Great experience!

5/17/24 Visalia office We went today to look for a pair of sunglasses. Martha was amazing and helpful. She took her time and gave me options of styles for me to choose. I'm so excited and can't wait to receive my new sunglasses . Thank you for a pleasant visit. Josefina Ocampo read more

This place is a SCAM!! Not only did we wait almost an hour for service (while other walk-ins were being helped) once we were helped the saleslady quickly tried to rush us into nearly paying 900+ dollars, only promising to lower the price if we agreed to all these shady upsales and add ons we didn't need or ask for. DON'T BE FOOLED by the giant lettering claiming nonexistent low prices (they apply to the frames only and it won't be that low with all the stuff they'll try to force on you).-- We paid the prescription and went across the street to Lens Crafters and had a nicer pair ready for a quarter of the price in hours. Do yourself a favor and go to Lens Crafters. read more

They said they were gonna make it right I spent an hour on the phone with them and they never made it right. They lied when they responded back to me. They charge my card for the money and they ripped me off. Total bait and switch and they lie on these reviews to try to protect themselves. Don't use these people. They're a total rip off and they flat out lie to you. I screenshot it their response when I spoke to the customer service and they said they didn't know who wrote that article for Stanton optical and that I was a different department and their customer service department would do nothing for me. I don't know how these people stay in business. read more

If I could give 1/2 a star I would..their customer service is horrendous. I don't even know how they have 2 stars . And speaking with 2 different mgrs on 2 different days pretty much stating conversation didn't take place and calling me a liar To the person from the business center who responded to call the 1-877 # that is the number I called the 2nd time in which customer service supervisor stated my conversation with first super was never documented so I doubt by me calling again and saying someone from yelp told me to call won't resolve or my issue nor how they made me feel read more

Never felt more unconfortable in my life!! i can feel the pressure these folks are under from management to make sales. But what is unacceptable is to be made to feel like 'ish because i decided to wait on my contacts. I had to say no 3 times. the manager came in to "save the day" i gave her the same explination on why i need to wait. suddenly, silence. her demeanor immediately changed like that of my mother when i was in trouble as a kid. that was the awkwardest moment as in adult in a long time, if ever !!wow!! I'm not coming back here even later for my contacts... do better read more

Went into Stanton Optical in Visalia as I wanted to order two pair of glasses. I already had a new prescription. The frames and lenses are priced higher than most other eye glass businesses. The sales lady sat me down at a desk to upsell me. 2 Pair for the price of one. Sounds good right ? A total scam. Their eye glasses are way overpriced. With her upsell BS the two pair where about $900 dollars. Buyer beware ! Stanton is a total scam ! You can go to a Dr. of Ophthalmology, Costco's or Lens Crafters for much less. read more

I have used Stanton a handful of times and they do amazing! Great customer service, haven't had any problems with them.

This place is a scam. I made sure to ask if they accepted my insurance before making my appointment to which they said that they did. They wanted to charge me $60 for my eye exam that my insurance DOES cover. The manager said she could not justify putting my exam as free ? Which does not make sense as it would be my insurance covering it. She never once asked for my insurance card. I took in my own frames and was charged $100 for the exam and to replace the lens. They were very aggressive and would not let me leave with just my prescription. Please save yourself the time and harassment and go to Costco or lens crafters. All the advertisements are a lie. read more

Well the 2 star rating is accurate..... I only used them because they were supposedly fast and the price was cheap (& I was desperate) .. the initial call and set up, being a first time patient, was very easy and convenient they were able to see me the same day (& called at noon!) .... What the initial call failed to tell me was that I have to pay for lenses and the advertised 2/$69 (with free eye exam) did not reflect that price. Again the initial exam experience was pleasant polite staff even tho there AC broke in the 100+ heat. The guy who counseled me on my prescription was nice. Though they try to push "doctor recommended these upgrades" as opposed to "we have these upgrades available". I was able to buy two pairs for $198 out the door. One pair was promised to me within 24 hours. Which I picked up the next day. The next pair was promised before two weeks. It's been two weeks no email, no phone call. So I called turns out my glasses have been there for some days already, "& they should've notified me". Marc was very helpful and apologetic, it is the middle of summer and the second pair were sunglasses which are desperately needed. If you need glasses I wouldn't recommend this place. Try Lens crafters it's two miles north in the mall. I should've just stayed there. read more

My wife, grandma, and I have been going to Stanton Optical for our glasses and sunglasses for a long time. I have been going there for years. Look at our pictures closely and you will see various glasses with have purchased there. When you go, ask for Martha Campos who has provided tremendous and wonderful service to us. We are completely loyal to her for all of her help and service. I would also like to give a shout out to the other women who have sold us glasses over the years and have provided excellent service too; they still work there too, because they also provide amazing service. They will also take care of you too! Emily Parton, Delia Cano, Sabrina Turner, and Juliana. As a side note, I am not connected to Stanton Optical or the employees in any way nor have we received anything for posting this review. We just wanted to post these pictures and this review as support for their awesome service and really cool and perfect glasses! read more

Place seemed very dirty and old.The optometrist was NOT on site and it was hard to distinguish between the employees and customers as none of the employees were dressed professional at all! I'm talking about jeans and t-shirts. The sale that they advertise as a free exam with 2 frames for $59.95 is a complete joke. They wanted to charge me nearly $1000 for two pairs of glasses. I kindly paid for the exams and prescriptions ($200) and promptly ordered both my kids glasses from Zenni for only $90. That includes very cute frames, high end lenses with blue light block and shipping and handling. I just hope and pray that the prescription is correct as like I said the Dr. was not even on site. read more

Marthas customer service is complete and utter garbage. I went in for a simple adjustment on my glasses I just bought and was being helped by one of the other gentleman. She started immediately being rude, condescending and outright just yelling at the guy for no reason whatsoever. I will never spend my money here, with her being manager? She has no idea how to talk to people. I was in there for maybe 5 minutes, and already could see the dread on the employees faces from being near hear. She must truly be horrible at her job if she micro-manages this way. read more

My mom and I were both in the market for new frames. We already had our own prescriptions on hand. The place was pretty busy but we were approached right away by Julianna. She is such a great sales associate! Very knowledgeable and informative. We really had a great first-time experience with Stanton Optical. Great selection and prices. I was told my glasses would even be ready today but I opted to pickup tomorrow. I was shocked at how quick that was. Understandably, my mom's will take longer due to the lenses being bifocals etc etc. I had previously heard some negative feedback about Stanton Optical but I am telling you all to go in for yourself and form your own opinion. You might be pleasantly surprised! read more

Had an appointment at 4:45, I planned accordingly but because of afternoon traffic I was 3 minutes late. 3 minutes late and they would not see me. They said I would have to reschedule because of 3 minutes. I would like to personally thank "Martha" who manages the Visalia branch. She provided me exceptional customer care and quality of service. She is a true professional who went "above and beyond" to ensure that I was 100% satisfied with my purchase. Thank you so very much Martha for a delightful experience and for satisfying all of my optical needs. These days it is so hard to get this level of quality customer care. YOU ARE TRULY APPRECIATED MARTHA! Respectfully, Brian Mckenzie read more

The doctor is on a video. The whole presses is rushed and high pressure to buy frames from them.

Martha(Spanish speaker) did an amazing job in helping my dad with his glasses. To explain everything with great details.

Not real doctors. A "doctor" sees you via Skype? You see he's in a cubby and you can hear all the other "doctors" talking to their patients. The connection even froze a few times. The set up felt so "ghetto" for a lack of a better word. After I was done. No one explained anything about my vision. I had to ask several times if my vision had gotten worse. The response. It was about the same. The woman selling frames is pushy! She wants you to buy no matter what. They couldn't even get my insurance information correct. Frames are much cheaper here. The only reason I'd return. Get your exam elsewhere. read more
