Stanton has reasonably priced designer frames and amazing service. I was helped by two employees to find frames that fit my personality as well as my profession in Education. I didn't have the pleasure of getting the free eye exam because I already had a prescription from my own eye doctor in hand when I arrived. Although, I wish I had, because I would've saved even more. First impression when I walked in: friendly and inviting. Of course, Stanton works in conjunction with my VSP insurance, coupled with their great deals, I didn't end up paying any more than $50 for everything. Here's what I got: One pair of Guess eye glasses, one pair of standard Impressions designed in Palm Springs, and they upgraded and replaced the lenses to my favorite Juicy Couture sun glasses. It been a long time, since I was able to get myself a new pair of eye glasses. I been wearing my High School Eye Glasses for a long time and yesterday I went in Merced Stanton Optical for a new pair of Eye Glasses for my appointment with them and though that I might not pass the Eye Exam. Since I was diagnose with pituitary gland tumor near my eye sight, which my optical nerves would get compress by the tumors and make my left eye cannot see sometime. I would like to thanks Omars and all the staff who work at the Merced Stanton Optical for helping me and I know that I can see better and they did a very well jobs to help me out. I told them about my situation about my tumor and after the Eye Exams, they ask me politely to see the Doctor in there office to exam more on my eye sight. When I entered Stanton Optical in Merced, I was immediately greeted by the manager, Omar, and he explained to me the process from start to finish. The information was very helpful since this was my first time visiting. Besides the fact that When you call the number on google in rings to a call center in Florida and they decided to put a generic address in for my address instead of my actual address. Omar was the person who assisted me with everything, he was very detailed with the whole process, explained all my options and was just a genuinely nice and knowledgeable person. He didnt pressure me into buying things I didnt need. I told him exactly what I wanted and needed in glasses and he gave me all my options not just the expensive ones. The other employees were going above and beyond trying to help the few customers that were in the store. The wait was amazingly short. I did not know what to expect when I first walked into Stanton Optical, but I was elated to have such a positive experience here! The staff was very kind, and the manager, George, was phenomenal! Being a college student over 21, it is extremely hard to find affordable eye glasses, especially on Medi-cal. While Stanton Optical does not accept Medi-cal anyhow, they were very flexible with my situation. They ardently believe in helping the students in the Merced community, which I commend. I will definitely come back, and I highly recommend everyone come here -- especially my fellow Bobcats! :) P.s. my glasses were ready within 30 minutes of me doing my exam and I have an extremely strong prescription/astigmatism. read more

Stanton in Merced is the best service out there. I have gotten 2 bifocal pairs of glasses, were given a complete eye exam, and free to pick and decide on the frames, no sales pressure to pick these kind of frames, nothing. I picked them out, and within a couple of weeks, they came in and the no line bifocals were great, very satisfied. Since then, I have had two occasions for Station to help and assist me, and they did a wonderful job. Jorge Aguilar and his staff were very professional and very competent to help customers. Not only did I get two pairs of glasses for a very affordable price, my eye exam was included! I got top notch customer service from start to finish and they really had a HUGE selection of frames to choose from. Jorge was really helpful at helping me select the right frames for my style and very knowledgeable when it came to answering all my questions about my prescription. I will be returning to the Merced Stanton when I need new glasses and I'm going to take my kids to get their glasses there too. Merced office is the best!!!! The staff and management are amazing and compassionate to others with top of the line customer service with no exaggeration. I had the best experience here!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted very friendly and asked if we were there for an eye exam. At the time we were just browsing. The associates did come check on us but there was no pressure to buy anything! My eye exam was quick and easy! I went in without an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in with the eye doctor that day.  Awesome!  Then I brought in my Tiffany & Co. frames and they didn't have an issue putting in my prescription lenses in it.  When I went to pick up my glasses, staff went above and beyond.  My glasses were loose and missing a screw cap and she had them tightened and replaced the cap.  Thank you Stanton! read more

Seemed like an experience from a science fiction movie. Maryland was the representative who assisted me. She was patient and clearly explained how the credit care system worked, that it was a soft credit check. The optometrist videos in and controls the phoropter from a satellite office.
