Great experience today! Got me right in for an exam, right over to pick out glasses, and they were ready in 15 minutes. I used a group and they were happy to oblige. The cost of my exam went toward my glasses so I left only paying for the exam. Deal! read more

Unprofessional - ZERO assistance - ONLY worried about upsales - optometrist techs ( word use LIGHTLY) act like patient is a bother to them and their job. Never called, text, emailed when my glasses were ready. Website to check status of your order is confusing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT using !!!! if ZERO stars were an option I would have given that read more

Jodi was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! I have been waiting to buy my progressive glasses for an entire year as most in store places did not have any glasses that made me squeal with excitement, and online ordering was too risky with the type of prescription I have. I went into Stanton Optical with my prescription, scared I wasn't going to be able to find what I wanted, and more so not going to be able to afford something perfect with my budget. I've been in retail for over 23 years so customer service is so so important. Today I left with tear filled eyes. I got not only one, but TWO pairs of glasses, the top two on my "squeal" list. She worked with me on everything I needed and wanted. When she showed me my total, I thought I was looking at the price for just one pair, but no, I get two! She took the time to play around with different way to get as close as possible to stay within my budget, making some adjustments to the type of lens in order so I could get into glasses quicker because of my budget. She was able to hear my concerns, read my body language and ended up making it happen and ordering the EXACT lenses I wanted. She was absolutely WONDERFUL. Thank you Jodi for listening to my needs and wants and making it happen today. CANT WAIT TO BE ABLE TO SEE!!!! ...... -customer for life read more

If I could give a less than 1star I would. How can you only have a doctor there one day a month? staff needs to be more professional and efficient. I will take my money elsewhere I wasted 3 total hours and still never saw a doctor or had an eye exam. Horrible read more

This is the worst clinic I have ever been to, ever! I had three experiencez and to sum it up: 1. The first time, the girl could not help me with my insurance information, she didn't know how to run the optical machines before the exam, she didn't know how to get my rx off the current glasses I had. The whole experience was a waste because I ended up ordering glasses and contacts with the wrong rx. 2. I had to be redone for my rx, as nothing worked. They "reordered sample contacts" and didn't file it correctly so it took over three weeks to come in. 3 When the samples finally came in, I received TWO of the three samples ordered. And of the two I received, only ONE pair was the correct rx. And to call the clinic and get ahold of anyone working, a magic trick I cannot seem to pull off. Horrible experience. The provider is the only way I could see myself coming back into the building. Thorough and kind. read more

I have been a customer of theirs for over 10 years and haven't had as much trouble with getting my prescription as I have now. This is more on the Stanton higher up things not the local lobby. I was told there are no more trials unless you're going to buy, that's ass backwards but okay. Wasn't given my prescription in hand, told it would be emailed. Called to get it emailed and they had me create an account. Well my number is tied to mine and my minor son's apportionments. So I can't see my prescription. After calling and explaining this 4 times, I finally asked them to just email it to me directly. I have to fill out a verification form and email back, wait days to have something I've paid for already. Given to me. I'm assuming this is because I was asked if I need it to buy or medical. I've never in my life had to endure such hassle for my OWN information. I refer quite a bit of people here and I will end that today. read more

Smh! Very poor customer service. In the lobby for over an hour because the eye doctor is at lunch. Why schedule appointments and your doctor is not in the building! Wish I could give a 0. read more

My husband's acute symptoms were dismissed and told he was just "getting old" and needed glasses. Went and got a second opinion and were now going to see a Retina specialist. The staff working is VERY friendly and everyone in the lobby area very nice and professional, but Dr. Choate was not it unfortunately. read more

I really enjoyed my experience here. The manager was very professional, and kind. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Recommend 10/10!

Erick, the optometrist, was incredibly helpful and empathetic in troubleshooting some broken glasses for a family member who could not come to the location (hospitalized). He would not take any payment, but repaired the glasses so the wearer can use them again. Which was just a godsend. read more

A company that believes in making eye care easy and the manager makes it fun. She also believes in helping you understand what it is that you are putting on your eyes as well as making you look good. She goes above and beyond for everyone. The whole team makes it a great experience! read more

I can't thank the staff at the Little Rock office enough for their kindness and support during an unexpected emergency trip to visit my dad in the hospital. In the rush to get to Arkansas, I forgot to pack my contacts or glasses. When I called, the staff was incredibly understanding and helpful--they provided emergency contact lenses and even gave me a sample at no cost. Their compassion and generosity made a stressful situation a little easier. Thank you so much! Sunday, August 10th, 2025 read more

Literally the worst place we've been to. Waited over an hour when we had an appointment, and they told us they accepted our insurance and when we were done with the eye exam we ended up paying for it out of pocket. They could've been honest from the beginning when we asked if they accepted our insurance . Just save your time and money and don't go here!! read more

I came in on Saturday with my mother for eye exams and glasses. When we first entered the building there was a very foul order, we were greeted by a friendly tech, but then informed if we have eye problems we will need to reschedule our appointments as on the weekend they only have a virtual doctor. I explained I am a diabetic and have retinopathy. I was quickly told to reschedule. I still need a regular eye exam, she understood that and finished setting us up. I then explained the over-sea- appt setter, also stated that the 2 for 79 eye glasses would be with thin lenses, when my prescription is for "bottle cap glasses" (my eyes are very bad.) The tech was very apologetic and stated I was misinformed. This whole interaction was misinforming. I drove over 1 hour from home to come here, this issue needs to be corrected. read more

Glasses part don't know what they are doing! I've used them for a few years now but after this last time I'll not go back! The guy didn't understand insurance. He said I had to pay for lenses. I didn't. I called main office in Florida & she looked into it & said yes you are right it pays for the glasses & frames. You can go back. I said hell no I drove 2.5 hours there last week. So she asked if she had that office to call me & get what I wanted over the phone & they mailed with ups would I be happy? I said I would. So the guy called & said I'd have them on Fri of last week. I didn't get them & ups didn't have a package for me. So no way will I go back! Y'all may not want a use them. read more

Lied about insurance coverage over the phone. Only revealed the truth when we showed up for our appointment

I drove all the way to the "hood" today for an eye exam I scheduled online. When I got there, the parking lot was basically empty. I went to the receptionist, gave her my name and she asked me if I had insurance and what type. I told her and she said they don't accept that. I told her the email I received said they do. She said she would let her supervisor know about it and that it would cost $59.00 for the exam. THEN she told me that they didn't have a LIVE person to do the exam on Saturdays, that it would be a "virtual" exam. How the HELL do they do a virtual eye exam?!? I told her to cancel my appointment. I will NOT be back even though, in the past, I have gotten good prescriptions from their optometrists. Another reason why Little Rock is going down the tubes. The only reason I gave one star is because yelp wouldn't accept my review without one. read more

Great experience here! Found this place off a Google search. Had a morning apt and was in and out right away, no wait. Very nice doctor. Great selection of glasses. Received A regular pair and a prescription sunglasses pair. Very happy experience. read more

Showed the ad, agreed on the ad price..ok..let"s get you started..charged the card, then told me the ad price was expired after ringing up the credit card..showed them the expiration date on the ad which wasn't near expired and was told it(the ad) was from another city..lol..I refused to sign and asked if they could refund. They refused to credit and said it should drop off my credit card since I "changed my mind after purchasing"...They mentioned alternative deals I could purchase with the higher transaction and may qualify for a partial refund..Decades ago I'd of tried to argue and reason, but I'm too smart to argue over blantant fraud...They didn't complete the authorization, so it only cost me a trip to the store. I bet the majority of people just want their glasses and will listen to their excuse for the higher charge and move forward read more

Not the best place to get glasses and a eye exam, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Stanton optical SUCKS they are slow and the glasses they picked for me (I couldnt see to compare) look awful not to mention, one of the two "free" pairs kept falling apart. I had to return them three times for repairs. Plenty of places to choose from, I would advise you to do so... read more

Always super fast service. Walks in accepted. Easy same day appointment. The front desk staff on the eye doctors side of the building were amazing! Very helpful and very attentive to my questions and concerns. Pre-exam was quick with hardly any wait time and right in to see the eye doctor. He was fantastic! The exam was very quick and simple, he explained every step and didn't try to talk over my head when explaining what he was doing as well as what ai needed or what he recommended. I highly recommend you stop in to visit them today! I was very displeased with the service from the eyeglasses side of the service so I'll leave that for now. read more

Pros -Schedule availability Cons -Everything else -Staff helpfulness -Visit with an actual doctor and someone to show me how to put contacts in -Rudeness -Lack of qualified eye care specialists on property I had a miserable experience and would not recommend this location. I went for an appointment, excited that I could be seen on the fourth of July for a contacts prescription. The assistant was gruff from the beginning. I wasn't opening my eye wide enough during her pre-exam appointments. She just kept saying louder, open your eye wider. I promise if I could have, I would have. Then when I went into the exam room, I was told it was a virtual visit. The assistant had difficulty setting up the appointment and it took 15 minutes to get started. The person giving the test on the video was a technician of some sort, not an optician or an optometrist. I was not given the opportunity to back out at this point nor was I told I wouldn't meet with a doctor to discuss any results. A doctor signed off on the prescription, I'm assuming after looking at the results. As I had just had an eye exam at a better doctor in West Little Rock, I wasn't concerned about general eye health, but would have liked to have heard I was/was not a good candidate for contacts given concerns like eye allergies, dry eye, etc. The office did not have the trial prescription I needed in so they ordered. The order arrived very quickly and I received a text to let me know they had arrived. The same assistant was there. She was still gruff and short. I asked for help knowing how to use them but she said she had never put contacts in. I asked if they did have any in-person doctors and she said they did but he wasn't in (despite it being Friday at 5:15 and hours extending until 7 or 8 pm) and I could just ask the glasses guy if he had ever done it. I left with my trial lens because I figure my chances were as good as with YouTube. ***Would strongly not recommend.*** read more

If I can leave a negative review I would make an appointment over a week and a half ago for a Saturday and then arrive and told the doctor was not available because they had an emergency and was never notified that the appointment was canceled received the confirmation for the appointment the day before but never anything notify me the appointment was canceled good luck if you ever decide to use them idiots read more

Stanton Optical - Optometrists Near Me - Little Rock, Arkansas

This review is regarding the Stanton Optical in Little Rock Arkansas on University specifically Dr. Choate A few weeks ago I got an email that it would soon be time for an appointment if I wanted to refill my contacts. I quickly bought a box to hold me over until then. When I got home I realized they had given me the wrong prescription, however I just lived with because I would soon be seeing Dr. Choate. I called the University office to schedule my appointment well in advance. THEY chose the day, Memorial Day for my appointment. I told them I can do another day if they needed. They assured me that was a good day. In the meantime I got an email confirmation and two reminder texts of appointment day and time. So I arrived at the time they had set to see Dr. Choate pulling out. He looks at me and keeps driving. When I went in they informed me that he just left. That's right, he just left. Mind you I wasn't late. He just skipped out on my appointment. I have always gone overboard to show kindness to him and his staff not sure why I was treated this way except possibly discrimination. I have multiple autoimmune diseases and am a senior citizen, getting to the Dr. is no easy task. At first I was very angry but I quickly realized it was a deep hurt of being dismissed and rejected. That was my experience. Definitely won't be back. read more

2017 was the first time that I used Stanton for my exam and the eyeglasses...and it will be the last time. I purchased two pair of glasses...one for reading and the other for distance. My major pair of glasses, distance, had a film on them to help with glare. I was not informed that this film would eventually obstruct my vision. The lenses are bad. I took them back and asked if they would do something to them until I come back for another pair in January of 2020. I was told no because it's been two years. I guess customer satisfaction is not high on they're list. A company that I used for years had repaired a pair of my glasses and at the time they were at least four years old. Well, this experience has made me decide to return to the other company. Unfortunately, in this day and age customer satisfaction doesn't exist within many establishments. read more

I have been getting my glasses here for the last three years. Amber is super friendly and helpful. I have always been able to find frames I love. Amber tracked down the frame they didn't have anymore and the warranty covered the replacement! I am a huge fan. read more

Went in Saturday with my husband. Both exams went well, receptionists and Dr. Jaros were friendly and professional. The problem began when ordering selected glasses. Amber was rude, unprofessional and seemed very clueless as to how to perform her job. She refused to confirm our insurance coverage. We were about to be overcharged $155.00! We were about to walk out without purchasing any glasses, when Amber went in back and sent out Ashley. What a huge difference! Ashley looked up our coverage and we only needed to pay $20 co-pays! Wow!!! Ashley needs to train Amber in proper customer service skills. She was courteous, professional and solved our concerns by actually LOOKING UP our coverage. read more
