They had my old records and were able to compare them with my new records. (Isn't that fantastic???) Dr. Smith not only did a very extensive examination (I thought it was, because she did tests that I have never had before) but she explained everything to me. I wish I could remember everyone's name because from the time that I walked in the door, to the young lady who fitted me for new glasses, I was totally impressed. The new eyeglasses were very reasonably priced (I am used to spending a hefty amount of money on glasses) and she also helped me pick them out and I love them. I highly recommend anyone and EVERYONE to go to Dr. Smith and her staff!! If I could give higher than a 5, I would. Thank you Dr. Smith and your staff. I don't know why this says that I am from San Francisco, CA but I am not. I tried to change my location but it would not let me. I am local.

I was very excited that they accepted my insurance and the receptionist was able to get us in to see the doctor pretty quickly after I called. Many of the other places I called either didn't accept our insurance or couldn't get us in at the most convenient time. So I really appreciated this. The office was clean, in a good location, and a nice size. The actual doctor was great! She was able to get both of my daughters in and out of there swiftly with all of the proper paperwork we needed. I'm giving them 3 stars because I was certainly pressure sold a bit by the person who sells their glasses. She tried to convince me that getting my glasses online wouldn't be a better deal cost-wise and this simply just isn't true. Two pairs of glasses (lenses + frames) there would have cost me over $500 after the insurance benefit. But I was able to find both pairs of glasses needed online for $120.00. I understand if selling glasses is what keeps this business afloat but there are better sales tactics than flat out lying. This definitely soured the experience.

Simmons eye care staff is amazing but their contract with the lab that actually makes the eye…read moreglasses is completely incompetent, not only did that send the frames from the store to the lab to make sure that received the correct glasses they still got it wrong, the excuses ranged from the glasses didn't pass inspection. Also after the order was sent in with the correct frames they kept trying to give me a totally different pair of frames and you could see by the order slip and the frames the numbers did not match. After being told a rush order is being placed on the order they still took their time completing the order. I do recommend Simmons eye care for your eye needs, but I do not recommend their eye glass services. Take your prescription somewhere else to avoid the headache and long wait,

Things went well for several years. Then things changed. In the last few years, I have been treated disrespectfully by their bookkeeper and at least 2 other employees. My loved one's PCP prescribed necessary medical supplies - some very personal. Someone at Diamond unilaterally began sending one half the number of certain supplies prescribed by the doctor - without even telling me. Also, the bookkeeper called and interrogated me about how many of certain items we had in the cupboard. They seemed to be making inappropriate judgments about how many we use. I was in the position of explaining to her why we use the number that the doctor prescribed. They also refused to send supplies because they apparently decided that my loved one is in a nursing home and not in my home. He was in a facility for a few months 10 years ago. Not since. I am a retired diplomat and attorney. I have a fairly thick skin. However, on more than one occasion I cried as a result of phone calls with them. IMHO, someone(s) has an issue with people who receive Medicaid, since the items they were so worried about are those paid by Medicaid. People who are elderly and disabled have a rough time - as do their caregivers. They deserve to be treated with respect. Period.
