Back when I had my old 1992 Buick La Sabre. The only place I would take it was Stan's Garage. The owner, not sure if his name is Stan, is extremely nice and doesn't BS you or give you any shortcuts when it comes to repairing your car. I took my La Sabre to Stan's at least 5 times, and I'd always get quick, honest, and efficient results. After every repair, you car is washed thoroughly inside and out, and everything is still where it should be. The only reason Stan's doesn't get a 5 star rating is the fact thats is an independently owned garage. Which means, you'll be paying a little more that you would be at oil-change joints and franchises. But the buck goes a long way at Stan's. Quality at it's best. read more

Someone tried to steal the catalytic converter on my car but fortunately they only sliced thru one side of the pipe. The places I called wanted anywhere from $200-700 to replace the pipe. A friend of mine told me to call Stans since she's gone there quite a bit and their prices are very reasonable. and they do good work. They figured the pipe could be welded instead of replaced saving me a lot of money so that's what they did at a fraction of the cost I would have paid to replace it. Very happy customer read more

I had a weird electrical problem on my van and i few shops recommended Stans Garage to me. I took it in and they fixed my car for a very reasonable amount. My only complaint, i had a check engine light on once and i just wanted to know the code to see if it was worth worrying about. They wanted to charge my $30 for minutes worth of work, seems to me if im there for a code, they would make a bunch more money fixing it then just turning me down. read more

The guys over at Stan's are big time crooks. They charge $90 just to look at the car when I took it in for a check engine light and a vibrating engine. They said it was a broken engine mount and fixed that and my tie rods which cost me over $500.00. This is were it really gets good... Two days later i get a check engine light and a vibrating engine! I bring it back and tell them what happened. The guy said leave it there and he'll look at it. Calls me back in an hour, "you need new spark plugs and a wire set, it'll be $592.00" WHAT?!?! I told him not to do anything and i would pick my car up the next day. To add insult to injury the guy still charged me the $90 for his inspection. Shouldn't he have noticed the dead spark plugs and bad wires the first time! I went home with an empty wallet and a broken car. Anyone know a mechanic that wont rip me off? read more

Found Stan's through repair pal. I thought that I found something good, well not so... Had to have an engine replaced. It cost 3k so having spent that much money I was looking forward to getting my car back in good running order! 1st visit after engine swap: Oil leaking...Threads for trans cooler didn't thread correctly into radiator. tightened them, but still leaking! 2nd visit: radiator is the problem replaced with same...still leaks! 3rd visit: replaced radiator with another companies...previous leakage corrected, but now oil cooler line leaking oil and was told very rusted. Why reuse part then? Owner Larry tells me that Paul told me about rusted part. I knew they were going to salvage parts, but was never informed about this! Coincidence that after all the unattaching and attaching that a rusted part previously not leaking starts leaking? METHINKS NOT! $425 to replace both lines (recommended). I get the aw shucks, tough luck speech and we (Stan's) had to eat the cost of a faulty radiator(poor us?). So seriously Stan's, do I want to pay more money to do work that I will be unsure of, that should not have been reused in the first place?!!!! read more

They helped get my 1998 firebird running a little better but not by much. The next day it was shaking extremely bad. All they did was fix my engine coils. He charged fricken $1000 to put in engine coils and also the diagnostic $100 fee and my car was still running like crap. DON'T GO HERE, TOO EXPENSIVE AND CRAPPY JOB. These guys are crooks. We took our car there to get a wheel alignment. They lied and said we needed something else that was over 1200 dollars. So they couldn't do the alignment until they fixed that first. We took it to belle tire and they did the alignment with no problem. Wow I don't understand why would they lie to us. If we didnt get a second opinion they would have schemed us out of 1200 dollars. I guess that's why they didn't want us to go somewhere else. read more

I have been going to Stan's for years now. They are the only ones who can keep my old domestic car with 220,000 plus miles running right! The service manager always explains information in great detail. The friendly staff and great service never seems to stop impressing me. read more

I took my car in today for a break inspection and some other stuff. They took my car in right away and gave an estimate of the charges within an hour. Everybody was very courteous. Offered me coffee while I was waiting. The atmosphere there was very friendly. I decided to go with them to fix my car. Mr. Larry, the owner himself offered to drop me to work which was some 5 miles away.We were almost there when I realized I left my laptop and lunch in the car at the garage . Mr. Larry turned the car right around with a smile on his face. He got my stuff out from the car including my lunch. Such hospitality is not seen these days . I was really really impressed by his gesture. After they fixed my car, Mr. Larry came to pick me at work and my car was washed and ready in their driveway waiting for me . I will recommend Stan's Garage to anybody and everybody. People with good hearts will always do a good job. I am sure my car was fixed with the best parts and I will have no troubles for a long time. do not take your vehicle to this place. they will tell you everything is fixed, make you pay, then the next day have the same issues. so you get stuck taking it back to them and they give you another bill and the same issue. we had to take our truck back 4 times for an electrical issue. after the third visit they cut one of our wires for my truck so the next day we found out the beacon did not work so we called and talked to the manager up there. he admitted to them cutting the wire and they forgot to hook it back up so just bring the truck back in and we will take care of it free of charge. so i take it back up for the fourth time and when we go to pick it up there is a bill waiting for us again. they said there is nothing they can do. the manager just sat there and wouldnt say a word. stay away from this place or you will be getting stuck with multiple bills for one issue or they will break something then charge you for there screw up. read more
