The technician who came the next morning did a fine job on my carpet but didn't clean the chair I paid to have cleaned. I saw their trucks, saw their ads and thought I'd try. I had used ChemDry in the past and I should have stayed with them. They soaked and stretched out my carpet - took a full 24 hours to dry and left me with big bubbles everywhere. I am now paying someone to re-stretch the carpet. First, the technician was efficient and professional, but... The company schedules a five hour arrival window (0800-1300 for me), which they missed. The only communication I received on day of service was at 1215 letting me know that the tech may be late (he was) and that I would receive frequent updates (none received). If you are thinking of hiring these people to clean your carpets, you should do two walkthrus of the areas where the workers will be, looking for damages. Do one walkthru before the cleaning has been performed, and another after. Stanley Steemer. what a joke. I call a local number, and find out later that it goes to a call center in another state. I went over my order with the gentleman, and only two things were entered correctly. When the technicians got here, it was a mess. So my quote for $144, turned into a bill of over $300. Some of us are on budgets. And then I find out from other people that this happens all the time!! This is a racket. Why haven't they fixed this issue?? I am a neighbor of someone who hired Stanley Steamer. The Stanley Steamer van blocked the entire alley. When the employees came out and I explained that blocking the alley was not OK, the employee said, "It's not a problem." When I asked, he repeated himself and his response made it clear that it wasn't a problem for him (and he did not care if it was a problem for me). At that point, as I was talking, he got in the van, closed the door, and drove off. I did call the main number (which is just a call center), and they got a local manager on the call. That person was good at understanding that the employee could have made better choices. I appreciated that. read more

I am shocked that this organization receives anything above a 1. They prey on elderly clients and do not do anywhere near what one would call a complete job. There was exorbitant charges, no moving of furniture, a a quick exit. A small trailer with a cost of almost $900 for a less than half way job. Their cleaner had no idea as to what needed to be done and could have never moved the furniture to properly do the job. Jacob totally nailed it! Everything done right, and all precautions taken with Covid.. Masks booties social distancing.. Communication before, during and after was over the top notch... exemplary! This is my 1st experience with Stanley Steamer. I'm a business owner myself. I saw them demonstrate true professionalism, hard work, dedication, follow through, follow up; you name it! Carpets had been done once recently but two bad stains were there and was wet and smelly. Jacob Even did a couple of areas extra thoroughly, just to do a good job and to please the customer, me. I saved $25 with the adjustment and $25 with my added discount. Both technicians were professional. The only thing I would have preferred is if they wore booties on their shoes. *Update 11/3/2014* Time for an update for this company. And I'm so happy to report that they are STILL miracle workers when it comes to salvaging horrifically soiled carpets. Thanks again to my dog, my carpets were recently thrown all up upon, everywhere, in a manner that I could not "fix". This, on top of older accidents of other natures. I was at my wit's end and again contemplating total carpet removal. It was so bad, I could never find the words to articulate how bad it was. Then, like a beacon in the dark, we received a Stanley Steamer coupon in the mail for $99 for them to clean 3 areas. Even with our tight budget, we could afford that! I immediately called and said we had a "carpet emergency", and needed someone over ASAP. The nice dispatcher asked if the following morning would work for us. YES! Like clockwork, the two techs arrived the following day. And they were able to clean our caprets to a pristine state. How, I don't know, but amazingly, the carpets were CLEAN, with no visible staining at at all. I liked how the techs put corner guards on all corners to prevent any damage from thier equipment, and "Watch Out, Slippery Floors" decals on the floors that may be slippery after the job was done. Lots of attention to these types of details. Very professional and courteous. No surprises with the bill. Prompt and quick. What can I say? They're as good as it gets. read more

UODATE as of May, 2018: they never came and repaired the landscaping outside of my house or gave me any compensation for the horrible job, water in the kitchen and horrible customer service. Chem dry performed my last carpet cleaning and they were awesome. I have used Stanley Steemer for years and have never had an issue until my last service. The technician got water all over my kitchen floors and just left it there for me to clean up. He also left my back gate wide open so my dogs escaped when I let them out and I spent 30 minutes tracking them down. Probably the worse thing is the technician tore up a strip of very expensive landscaping between my house and my neigbbor's. He drove right through it and wiped out two bushes. Talk about carelessness! So when I reached out to management to resolve these issues I thought for sure they would come out and fix the landscaping right away. Nope - it's been 3 weeks and impossible to reach anyone. They don't seem to care at all that they're losing a long time customer or that their employees are sloppy and causing damage to clients' homes. I was disappointed in our cleaning from Stanley Steemer in Lynnwood. We have used them in the past but this time it seems like all they were interested in was upselling. We had blood in the carpet and the next day the spots had all returned. I ended up buying a stain remover with enzymes and got the stains out. read more

I had carpets cleaned at my church and they damage carpet in one room by overflowing the sink with their wastewater. I was promised a check to pay or for replace the carpet but it has not arrived. The cleaning crews that came out we're difficult to work with, they seemed more interested in debating costs than measuring the areas needing cleaning and giving me an honest, fair quote. I asked for them to measure the space and they said they would but the next day when they returned they did not. I've used Stanley steamers at two houses in Snohomish county and north Seattle areas for over 12 years and never had a problem with them. This Woodenville office seems to have problems with their commercial cleaning crews. I was surprised when they did the cleaning and damage the carpet on Saturday that it took him until the following Tuesday before they finally sent a person out to bring a fan to help dry it out. I had to call on Monday and Tuesday and insisted something be done before they acted. This was a very negative experience for me and I was shocked because it was so different from other experiences I've had with Stanley Steamers An update--never did get the check to pay for the carpet replacement. Therefore, mailed a payment to them the difference between their cleaning bill minus the cost of the replacement carpet. I had a call from one of their "managers" arguing with me for not sending in payment first and then trusting them to send me a check later. Why would I have reason to trust them to handle this properly? Don't waste your time. Cleaner was rude and unprofessional. I had to keep a 6 hour window available for the cleaner to show up and within 5 minutes of arriving tell me it would be better if I just threw my couch away. I was told he just doesn't do cream or white couches like mine period. When I called customer service I was informed that the cleaners are allowed to refuse any job they don't want to do. I've never felt the need to write a review before today. I have a well loved couch that needed a bit of revitalizing. I am a pet owner with roommates who fully understands that there are only so many miracles one can do to reverse even a bit of the damage they cause. I cared more about the deodorizing and protecting services since I know cream is a tricky color and I explained that I would be fine with whatever level of clean was achieved. I responded to a Stanley Steemer online promotion and made an appointment for tile and grout floor cleaning for 1 room and 1 entrance hall. I received a quote of $105.56 inc. tax after the special discount. When the Stanley Steemer Tech person from the Pennsauken NJ location arrived, he attempted to double the price stating that my kitchen, which is one open room, is considered two rooms as a cooking area and an eating area. I informed him that their website clearly states that a room is only considered two rooms when it exceeds 300 sq feet, which this room is clearly under. He then stated that the 300 sq feet was for carpet. I disagreed. He then made me show him on their website where this was stated. I showed him. He then said that he would not do the job for the quoted price, and walked out of my house. read more

Had my hardwood floors cleaned and protection coat placed on my floors. Not impressed at all. I came home from work and swept up a pile of loose dirt and even had to detail the edges around the living room that i was told would be done when they clean. They told me to wait 3 days to move my furniture back on my floors. Today I moved my furniture back only to find out they broke a corner off on my entertainment center. Very disappointed they damaged this brand new entertainment center and also with overall results. We had a minor leak in our townhome. Our landlord went through his insurance which selected Stanley Steamer as our remediation specialists. They ended up removing less drywall and hardly any flooring...in the beginning. The day they did demolition, they left a dhumidifier and fan to dry out the area. They also taped off the hallway. The tape job was awful. Within two hours, we were having to put the plastic back up and push the tape back down. The morning after they left the equipment, my husband walked downstairs to water leaking from the hallway. They left the water tube the dehumidifier needs to drain the water on the ground...not in a bucket, not in a sink but on the ground. Where did they think the water would go??????? The follow up customer service was appalling. We never received an apology but were told "this happens all the time." Really? Your job is to cause more damage? The technician admitted to my husband he forgot to drain the dehumidifier before putting it in the home. The laminate in the home buckled right away. The insurance company approved for them to remove the flooring and a 2 day drying process turned into 5 days. We've never been through this process or we could have called out the fact the tube was left on the ground. If it were up to us, we wouldn't use Stanley Steamer but we have no options as we're renting. Regardless, this is not a company we will use in the future for any needs if we have a say. read more

I would not recommend this company for any work. They came out to our home and, unfortunately, my folks were both sick and could not have their carpet cleaned. We were still charged $163 for a rug cleaning and one room. A total rip off! I was on a business trip and they took advantage of my wife. If they would have told me I still had to pay for all the carpets, I would have escorted them out the door. I have two huge Great Danes who love to lay anywhere they want, so the cleaning was definitely overdue. Jose and Terrance were very professional, explained the process every step of the way, and were cautious in my home while they were working. My dogs loved them both, which was a bonus! Overall, the customer service was great, pricing was fair (I used a coupon, which helped), and scheduling was very easy. I was able to schedule everything online, received an email confirmation once I booked, as well as a reminder email two days before my appointment. A went to the Stanley Steemer web site for carpet cleaning of one room. Prices have gone up substantially since I last used them in September of 2018. Price in 2018 was $99 on a special. Price for today's one room $162.12. First contact (who showed up 45 minute from the end of the 5 hour window), the cleaning person tells me because of the size of my room, I was going to be charged for two rooms. I told the agent that the FOUR previous times Stanley Steemer cleaned the SAME room, the cleaner never made that assertion. Needless to say I was not happy about it. So the already high $162.12 went up to $250.23!!!!!!! Two additional factors really irritated me about this experience...the cleaning person missed a whole section of the carpet, (I discovered this after he left). The other irritating factor was that as he was leaving, I verified my e-mail address on his computer pad so he could send the receipt and I have yet to receive a receipt (cleaning occurred two days ago). I will not be doing business with Stanley Steemer again. I will however be happy to give them the negative publicity they deserve! Do NOT use this company...find a small Mom and Pop carpet cleaning business and you will pay less and more than likely get a better job done as well. read more

We have used this company for many years but with our last experience I think NOT! We have always had polite employees with manners. This last time one of the guys had problems following directions. He could not followed instructions from the gentleman that was doing all the cleaning!! The guy was careless as I had to tell him be CAREFUL with the walls( the hose kept hitting the walls and the protective corners will keep moving) and not to walk with his shoes on the clean carpet.
