Just re-opened at the new Heath location and I can't say enough about this place! PLENTY of space for everyone to run around without feeling cramped (meaning the kiddos) and tons of fun for parents too! Didn't get a chance to sit down and eat today, steady 2.5 hour wait but it's only day 3 of the soft opening so no stars redacted for that!! We were passing through and stopped in for lunch. The favorite seemed to be the buffalo chicken sandwich. My husband ordered and it was good. I had the Cobb salad it was small but very hearty with kale and spinach. Our server was sorta a B- I would recommend and go back. read more

I have been satisfied every time we have gone to Standard Service. The food is tasty, it's a laid back, versatile crowd, pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed 1/2 price appetizers and 1/2 off frozen Moscow Mules. I believe offered between 3 pm - 6 pm Wait staff courteous, efficient, and above average. My wife just came back from a meeting with associates , party of 8. One of her friends simply asked the server if the door could be closed by all the employees when they came in and out (fly's were getting on the food and heat was making all uncomfortable) Some employees had the courtesy to close the door , others were not ... a simple request! The server went to the manager and the manager came unglued....pointing his finger in the face of my friend scolding her ....seriously???? for a simple request??? Mr bully ... do you like flies on your food? How about being professional about the whole thing instead of getting in someones face....the group came there for a meeting, fellowship and a good time! My wife and have been there several times, the service is often okay, the wait time is often very poor to the point of going elsewhere and the food is certainly nothing to write home about. Now this??? My wife and I will never go back and after tonight this group will take their meetings elsewhere, probably in home. Came here because our first and second choices both close at 3pm. We were not disappointed! This place has great decor and excellent music on rotation. We had pesto flatbread and hummus as appetizers because half price apps during happy hour. Both very delicious. I ordered a Cobb salad and it could possibly be the best one I've ever had. My wife had the Tejas bowl which was very well seasoned and my son had a super cheesy grilled cheese with potato salad that he couldn't get enough of. The wait staff was attentive and genuinely pleasant. We will definitely be back. The only knock is the beer selection, I would love to see just a few more craft beers to choose from. Upon my second visit, the salad was just like any old Cobb. What made it unique and pleasant from a textural standpoint was the shaved brussel sprouts. Kinda disappointed that they switched to field greens. read more

I had an awesome brunch and I had at Standard Service in Rockwall, TX! Our server Graham was AMAZING!! EVERYTHING we ordered was his recommendation and he did not steer us wrong! Mimosas (not pictured)- great ratio of champagne to oj Kale cheese dip-soooooo good!!! Brightness of the tomatoes, cheesy, still some crunch from the kale, so flavorful goodness! Breakfast Tacos- fried egg was creamy and same size as tortilla! The cheese, bacon, potatoes and lime crema- Soooo good!!! The cheese grits that come on the side are really good too!! Chorizo omelette- this was our first time having beef chorizo and it was excellent! This was a very delicious, well made omelette! We also loved the salad that came with it! Dessert: So I'm totally that person that can sometimes go without dessert. I thought I would just have one bite of The Rickey. Nope! I definitely ate half if not more of this delicious brownie with ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream! Sooo good! read more

I've been coming to this location since it opened and absolutely love the new venue. It's the only place that offers a great variety of drinks, healthy food and so much to do that you can take your kids and not worry about them getting bored. They have corn hole, ping pong, pickle ball and a large area where the kids can just run. The staff is super amazing and friendly and the service manager, Carlos, is THE BEST. He certainly makes sure everyone is happy and is just a bright light when he's there. He's definitely made Standard more fun to go to and I recommend it to everyone I know. Visiting Rockwall and came here on a stormy night. The reviews on Yelp brought us in and Standard service did not disappoint! My kids ate all their dinners! I had the bunless burger bowl. I don't know if it was the meat, the portobello mushroom or the aioli, but damn it was delicious. Pair that with a cold beer and I loved it. My wife had their standard burger and she loved hers too. The only thing that I can say wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite, was the ranch dressing. It had a spice to it that didn't suit my palate. But, thats just me. So I went here on Thursday. Cool looking place. It is a bit odd that 8 feet from the front door there is a girl riding a spin bike at the open air cross fit gym next door. Who can resist the smell of food and sweat together? Just kidding it didn't smell like sweat. I got the Remedy burger. Very mixed opinion on this burger. First off it tastes great. My issue is this is probably the smallest burger I've ever received in a restaurant. I inhaled it and my chips and felt like I had eaten an appetizer. But it was great so kudos to the chef. My parents went and my dad had the chicken parm. He said the marinara sauce was really good but the chicken was very over cooked. My mom had a chicken pasta dish and she really liked it. Chocolate peanut butter brownie sundae was good. My only complain is that burger is too damn small. read more

Took the family to check this place out. Very nice outdoor setup with plenty of room and just a laid back vibe. Service started off ok, but we quickly found our waitress to be basically non-responsive. Asked for a drink refill when my meal arrived, finished my meal and another ten minutes pass until our waitress comes back, so I ask again for a refill and the check. Waited for a while and she didn't show up. Someone else cleared our table and we sat there watching our waitress talk to another table for at least 10 minutes. Finally she came over and asked if we were ready for the check! I said yes and how about that drink refill... she literally said "I just brought you a drink!" All snippy and confrontational. I said no I have asked twice now and went most of my meal without a refill so yes I would like another drink. She again said, well I brought you a drink before, like I should be ashamed for asking for a refill. We paid the bill and she said "see ya" and walked away. Awful service! Food was extremely overpriced and not very good. Everything came out barely warm and nothing tasted very good. read more

Over the top Customer Service! We went one Saturday kind of late lunch hour. The food and service were great. I was only able to eat half my salad and had it packed to go. Of course left without it. We returned shortly after and checked to see if they still had it, sadly no but insisted on making me another whole salad. Now that's customer service and we'll be customers for life! read more

The reason I'm giving a lower rating is because we constantly had to "shoo" away gnats while we were eating. There's clearly a problem that the owner/manager needs to deal with. Everyone deserves a second chance, right? Maybe that is what I need to give Standard Service, because my experience was nothing like the other reviews I've read. My daughter (17) told me this place was great, so we went together on a Sunday later afternoon -- her second visit, my first. After reading the reviews, I was looking forward to the outstanding service and great food. The food was good. We had the Margherita Flatbread as an appetizer, and it was very good! Great flavor. I had the BLT with fries. The BLT was good, the fries were just okay. My daughter ordered a lemonade -- just regular lemonade -- and was given a small glass full of ice with about 6 oz of lemonade. Her glass sat empty for a while when I finally flagged someone down and asked for a refill. I was told that refills were not free, and we would be charged an additional $3 to refill. $3 for 6oz of lemonade? No thanks. The service was actually not good at all. Our server (I don't remember her name -- started with an H -- didn't check on us much, and wasn't very personable. She wasn't rude, she just wasn't very friendly. There was a manager there, and several employees sitting at a table. Most of the manager and server's time was spent at that table talking. I'm assuming it must have been an off-day based on other reviews, and I'll likely give it a second chance. My first impression wasn't impressive. read more
