DO NOT USE FROSTY…read more While it is true what others have said that the technician Terry was fantastic, the management at Frosty is not trustworthy. They low-balled an estimate when they had knowledge of the unit, the specific part needed, and the industry standard for labor. And when the job was completed in less than time than expected, the final invoice came back 70% higher than the high-end of the estimated range. The misleading initial estimate was either fraudulent in order to get the job, or incompetent. Terry should work for someone else. I would not trust Frosty.

***AVOID AT ALL COSTS***…read more We contacted K&B as an extension of our home warranty plan (American Home Shield-- whole other issue but TLDR; stay away from them too) due to an issue with our HVAC systems. The technician who came out was prompt and professional; however the follow-up after was nothing short of a nightmare. We were told a part needed to be ordered to correct the issue and trying to contact this company in any shape/form/fashion was not only unequivocal but a circuitous process between the home warranty company and K&B directly (who we were instructed to follow up with from home warranty). We called the number listed on the website only to receive the message that the mailbox was full. We were redirected to a dispatcher who only offered the explanation for no repeated calls back after 2-3 days that she was "only the dispatcher." After one week of no AC in 90+ degree weather, I went through the home warranty system yet AGAIN to schedule a follow-up. The day of, I received a call from the same technician to be told that he wasn't even certain the part had been ordered and had no idea why the follow-up was scheduled. I texted the number the dispatcher provided (and yes, she said to text if he did not answer) multiple times in very polite manners pleading for communication and received absolutely NOTHING. This company is not only unreliable but unprofessional to the point of being nothing short of Casper the (unfriendly) ghost--basically no way to effectively communicate, and they were unbothered by any urgency in the matter despite it being the dead of heat in the middle of August. Do not use-- I repeat: DO NOT EVEN GIVE THEM THE PLEASURE OF SUBTRACTING MINUTES FROM THEIR BOOST MOBILE PHONE PLAN!!!

The HVAC installation itself was done well, and I was satisfied with the work performed by the…read moreinstallation technician. My concern is with how the required county inspection was handled by the owner. I was charged an additional $500 for the inspection, even though the county's actual permit and inspection fees are less than half that amount. The explanation was that the additional charge covered scheduling the inspection and having someone present, which I was willing to accept. However, the person they sent arrived late, was not the installer, and did not appear familiar with the installation. When the inspector asked questions, he was unable to provide useful answers. Considering the amount charged, I expected someone knowledgeable about the job to attend and properly represent the company. I raised these concerns directly with the owner, but instead of acknowledging the poor handling of the inspection or taking responsibility for the situation, he avoided addressing the issue. Because the inspection charge and arrangements came directly from the owner, the experience left me feeling that the additional cost was not handled transparently or professionally. These are the types of business practices that prevent me from becoming a repeat customer, despite the installation itself being completed well. I recommend that anyone hiring this company confirm in writing whether permits and inspections are included in the original quote, the exact amount of any additional charges, and who will attend the inspection.

I just had a couple of experiences with Rocky HVAC. I service call and a full hvac replacement…read more Service requested: The service had a technician (Jose) that actually would troubleshoot the system before making recommendations. Other hvac technicians will tell you to just replace the system without checking anything. Quality of service: Well, this technician gave me options to get me going. In fact, he gave me 3 options and it was MY decision on what we should do. When I made the decision to replace the fully hvac (not from any pressure from the technician), he was able to fix it so that I had heat until they came back to replace it. They saved me time and money, which is value to me! Value delivered: Other hvac companies are rude and have sneaky sales tactics. Not Rocky hvac. The crew that came to install it were all professional and polite. After 5 decades of using other hvac companies, I finally found a keeper.
