***AVOID AT ALL COSTS***…read more We contacted K&B as an extension of our home warranty plan (American Home Shield-- whole other issue but TLDR; stay away from them too) due to an issue with our HVAC systems. The technician who came out was prompt and professional; however the follow-up after was nothing short of a nightmare. We were told a part needed to be ordered to correct the issue and trying to contact this company in any shape/form/fashion was not only unequivocal but a circuitous process between the home warranty company and K&B directly (who we were instructed to follow up with from home warranty). We called the number listed on the website only to receive the message that the mailbox was full. We were redirected to a dispatcher who only offered the explanation for no repeated calls back after 2-3 days that she was "only the dispatcher." After one week of no AC in 90+ degree weather, I went through the home warranty system yet AGAIN to schedule a follow-up. The day of, I received a call from the same technician to be told that he wasn't even certain the part had been ordered and had no idea why the follow-up was scheduled. I texted the number the dispatcher provided (and yes, she said to text if he did not answer) multiple times in very polite manners pleading for communication and received absolutely NOTHING. This company is not only unreliable but unprofessional to the point of being nothing short of Casper the (unfriendly) ghost--basically no way to effectively communicate, and they were unbothered by any urgency in the matter despite it being the dead of heat in the middle of August. Do not use-- I repeat: DO NOT EVEN GIVE THEM THE PLEASURE OF SUBTRACTING MINUTES FROM THEIR BOOST MOBILE PHONE PLAN!!!

I was on my way to work when I saw two of your trucks (love the graphics). I didn't have time to speak with the two technicians, so I noted the phone number to research later. After reading the reviews, I placed an online request for service. I was contacted within the hour (on a Saturday!) by Billy (weekend tech) who told me he could come that day if it was urgent (it wasn't). He forwarded my request to Lindsay, who contacted me the following Monday. She explained pricing options and scheduled service for the following day. The service tech (Bill) was great! He arrived on time, assessed the issue, and completed the repair. He answered all of my questions (even the dumb ones)! I could tell he enjoys the job and takes pride in his work. To say I am impressed with this company is an understatement. From start to finish, this was a stress-free ordeal. I am now a proud member of the Comfort Club and highly recommend Maryland Heating and Air!

I called Quality HVAC and they quickly fit me into their schedule, same day. Demetrius showed up on time and was extremely professional. I told him the symptoms and what I had done. In no time at all, he discovered I was low on refrigerant and recharged the line, adding a dye to narrow down the leak in the future. Now, my home is cooling properly and the price of the repair was very reasonable. I highly recommend Quality HVAC Mechanical Service. We called the…read morecompany that typically services our A/C (yes, this wasn't the first or second or third time our A/C had stopped working in the two years we've owned our home) and they didn't call or text us back. Since we couldn't wait around too long my wife gave Future Tech a call based on recommendations she found on Nextdoor. Scott and his crew came out right away and assessed our situation. They said we would need a new system. They quoted us for a new Bosch system that had both A/C and a heat pump. While originally seeming a bit pricey, the unit came with a $2,000 rebate and $2,000 tax credit. We accepted the offer and were scheduled to have it installed the next week. A few days later Scott called and told us he had convinced another couple that had a system that was currently working (they were looking to upgrade) to allow us to go first since we had young kids and no air. They agreed and our A/C install happened much sooner than it was initially scheduled. That NEVER happens! The duct work and A/C install was completed in a day. Around 7 at night, when everything was done, Scott took me out and showed me the system and explained what he did, what I need to know and what I should keep an eye on with it. After that we talked about the Eagles and Ravens. Then we shook hands and he headed home. Since the install, I have noticed a huge difference in the amount the A/C runs (our old system seemed to be constantly going) and how cool our house stays. On top of that, despite keeping the house three to four degrees cooler than we did with our old system, our electric bills have been much lower than with the previous unit. My family and I could not be happier with the work that Scott and Future Tech Heating & Cooling did on our home.

NEVER let these guys in your house…read more I first called them to work on my boiler. They charged me $300 bucks, found out later, they did not fix the problem. Then that night, my pressure relief valve on my hot water heater failed and soaked my basement. I made a HUGE mistake by calling the same company to send out some plumbers to fix the issue. They replaced the valve then came up stairs and said there was an error code showing low pilot light, but not to worry should resolve on its own. So they left. As I walked downstairs I smelled the strongest stench of natural gas I have ever smelled. Turns out these yahoos left a gas connection very loose. Which explains the low pilot light, because half the gas was leaking into my basement. Luckily someone was there (who actually fixed the boiler, AJ Micheal's tech) and he found the leak and tightened the connection while I scrambled to open windows. So of course I was upset that the plumbers almost blew up my house and killed my entire family. Called the dispatcher who essentially said, " well the leak is fixed and they are onto the next call so what do you want us to do?" Took 3 or 4 days of calling to get a supervisor on the line. Who did nothing for survive recovery. The plumbers who Albright Mechanical sent to my home were incompetent and dangerous. furthermore, the company showed zero urgency in addressing the situation. I truly hope they don't kill any one.

The process dragged on for over four months, mostly waiting for parts, and I ended up exactly where I started. Every replacement part they installed failed, and the troubleshooting went in circles with no progress. The technician genuinely tried, but nothing was resolved. On the last visit, they installed another board with no improvement, then attempted to charge me again. I refused -- nothing had been diagnosed or fixed, and I was already out $1,300. After that, the company stopped responding to calls and emails. Only when I reported the issue to the manufacturer did the owner contact me, demanding $369 for the previous visit and full payment upfront for any future service. When I pushed back, he emailed saying the company was "parting ways" with me. In short, the company demonstrated poor customer service, charged repeatedly without delivering a solution, and stopped communicating when they couldn't figure out the issue. I ultimately purchased a brand‑new HVAC system because I no longer felt safe relying on the original equipment after months of failed repairs.
