We did not receive any tentative communication from the studio to check up on her. We switched to another dance school in town, and my daughter is doing great. I've only been on staff for 1 year, and my philosophy is that we must always strive to improve - thus my 4-star rating. The Dynamic Dancing class offerings are expanding this year to include more classes for all ages. Our programs for Adults and Seniors include: Stretch & Strength, Creative Movement, Ballet Basics, Belly Dancing, Jazz and a Dance Aerobic program called "Get UP and Dance!" With our 4-person staff we're also offering more of the fundamental classes for children and teens (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop), as well as Dance Exploration and Creative Movement. All of our classes are held at the Woodland Community Center which is responsible for registering and collecting payments. We're working hard with WCC staff to improve and simplify these processes. When I asked her why, she said it was because I used her online booking app, she doesn't check it and "hadn't she made that clear already"? I asked if I could have a short session when she was done and she just rolled her eyes. Then when I texted my husband to turn around and pick me back up, she told me, "Are you texting someone? Pay attention when I talk to you!" I personally don't make progress with a verbally abusive instructor, especially one who demeans a first-time client in front of other students. There are enough great Pilates coaches in the area I don't need to put up with Allison's self-important attitude.

This review is for the adult classes, and for anyone like me that has anxiety about coming and…read moreneeds to know exactly what to expect. I did my first class last night. I have no gymnastics experience whatsoever. I wore jogger style pants (the ones that get tight at the ankles), a tight tank top, and a polyester shirt. My outfit worked well for what we were doing because it was breathable but also tight enough to where it wasn't flying in my face when I went up side down. You can also wear shorts and any regular t shirt. Just wear something comfortable Barefeet on the floor and also a mask required at this point. Months back I bought an UnderArmour face mask that is perfect for working out in, and it was perfect for this. Also, being a water bottle! Parking is fine (at least at night), there is a parking lot in front of the gym with plenty of spaces. And if it were to fill up there is a neighborhood(on Albany Ave at Donovan Ct) that you could park in and just walk through a little walkway that leads directly to their front door. I walked in and met coach Shawn and one of the other participants. My classmate showed me where to put my belongings (there's benches that are visible from the floor of the gym). As a class we did some conditioning to warm up - that night it was push ups, planks, toe raises, some jumping. It was very doable; my classmates told me that in past classes, conditioning is more challenging (something to expect). Then we did basic stretches. After that, the coach tells the class where we are for the day (floor, bars, beam). This night we were on bars. The coach demonstrated the different stations and then we rotated between them as a class (one person on each bar doing something different). My classmates were amazing; they helped me and encouraged me. After a while on the bars it became open gym where you can practice anything. I just jumped around a lot and also practiced falling backwards into a mat. So thankful that Davis Diamonds has an adult class! If you're thinking about trying it but a little anxious, I say give it a chance! There is a range of skill levels among the adults and no judgement; just a lot of fun. ‍

Sue helped me get to my goal and convinced me that working out could be fun. After NOT DOING Pilates for over 5 years, I'm back with Sue at her own studio. Unfortunately, I have put on weight and actually have quite a few aches and pains. Sue is helping me address these problems and is working with me to get stronger and become pain-free. After just 2+ months, I can see some physical changes already and I'm slowly becoming pain-free. She is good at assessing the problem and makes adjustments in order to minimize and eliminate pain. Some of my flexibility and strength are returning and this time, I'm committed to continuing Pilates with Sue.

Both Heather and Sandra are amazing, they pay personalized attention to each student in a class making sure we are all taken care of. Each class has a different "routine" which lends to not getting bored and getting stronger overall. They do privates as well and I truly appreciate how engaged and caring they are throughout classes and privates with everyone. I have never been this strong and my back is so much happier with me now that I am doing Pilates. I now know what an exercise high is!
