Fithouse really said "why pick one personality when you can be all of them" ... and it works. From the second I walked in, every single employee was ON--like aggressively kind in the best way. Full first-timer tour, big smiles, "can't wait to have you back" energy, and the front desk deserves its own standing ovation because wow... above and beyond. I love a studio that refuses to stay in its lane. Yoga, cycle, Pilates, strength, personal training, plus a dangerously cute retail section. I literally came back later just to shop and walked out with a full set (on sale... say less). Even the Tiem cycle shoes were calling my name. Did a triple this morning because apparently I like to test my life choices. Warm mat Pilates (hit around 90°) was solid, but give me darker lighting, more intensity, slower burn... really take me out. Cycle was good, just needed to be louder with more punch. Strength class wrapped it up nicely. Overall, strong lineup--but if I'm doing three back-to-back, I expect to leave as a ghost, and I was still very much alive. Vibes? Good... friendly, welcoming, easy to settle into. Only downside... they ghosted ClassPass, which is a bummer for travelers or commitment-phobes like me. Drop-ins are $30 or 3 for $49, so yeah... your wallet will feel that. And no first class free for locals... bold of them to skip the "try me before you buy me" era. read more

Exercise torture, but in the best way! Even on the days where the last thing I want to do is exercise I always end up having a good time. My favorite class is power pilates and the individual training is an amazing investment. The only thing missing is a leg press. read more

There are many different classes to choose from so if you are still finding your way through your fitness journey you have options! I am not sure how filled the classes get when UC Davis is back in session but during summer you are able to book spots easily online. After classes you are usually provided with a eucalyptus cold towel which is refreshing after sweating through a workout. There are many amenities here which other gyms do not typically have. read more

What a great space! This was my first time ever trying a bootcamp, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. Karen and Lisa were incredibly welcoming and encouraging from the moment I walked in. Cierra, one of the newer instructors, was attentive and supportive. She made sure my form was correct and helped me modify exercises to fit my needs. The studio itself is beautiful, and the sense of community is truly uplifting. I absolutely love FIT House. I tried it out with the unlimited monthly pass and knew I would become a member after the first class. It was my first time doing a spin class and IT IS SO MUCH FUN. It's like going to a dance class every morning. The instructors are all super sweet and energetic, even at 6am. I've only tried the spin, boot camp and yoga classes - which are all awesome - but they also offer Pilates, barre, TRX and other classes. Found this place when my friend and I were looking for yoga classes! Admittedly, we were running late to Akasha Yoga's Yin Yoga class and saw that it was full... Thought our efforts scrambling downtown were futile... But luckily, I saw FIT House as we were driving and looked them up-- somehow, they had a Yin Yoga class at the exact same time! We rushed to FIT and the receptionist was so generous to let us attend the class 5 mins late. She was super friendly & knowledgeable, and signed us both into their system quickly. $16 for a walk-in + $3 renting a mat isn't a bad deal at all! It seems small from the outside, but FIT has a wealth of exercise equipment and rooms for classes. For our class, the room was darkened, only illuminated by a handful of candles (probably battery-powered, but atmospheric nonetheless). Our instructor, Oana, was wonderful. Accompanied by soothing music, she gently led our class into a series of poses, and eventually, into a state of relaxation (evident by the snoring by one particularly relaxed man....). We used rugs, blocks, & bolsters throughout the class. Though my friend and I were both yoga novices, Oana's class was very beginner-friendly & we were able to keep up with no problem. Even with its slow pace, we felt remarkably refreshed when we left. Afterwards, we checked out the FIT facility-- there was a lot to offer & seemed to be kept very clean! Loved it! Went today for the first time, the staff was really friendly and helpful, they wipe down the machines for you. If you don't have shoes for the psycleFIT class, they will provide a pair for you. Definitely going back! Drop in class is 22$, which works perfectly with my schedule. The workouts are incredible, the instructors are knowledgeable and very obviously love what they do so their passion translates clearly into powerful, meaningful session. I've never been the type that was "fit" and felt intimidated by gyms and the idea of working out. This year, I decided to get over my feefees and commit to doing at least two indoor cycling or barre/workout classes a week at Fit House. 10 months in at FitHouse, I'm a lot stronger and now look forward to every class I go! They have a great community, and knowledgeable and thoughtful teachers, and it makes a big difference (especially if you're intimidated by gyms like I was). My favorite classes are cycling by Blanche and Margaret, and the Barre/Fusion classes by Jen, Lisa and Elise. The instructors here are really helpful, and give adjustments based on your needs. This review is for the yoga deal, and is not directed at the staff or instructors in general. This pseuo-yoga studio does not provide a free class for the first time attending. Any other yoga studio in Davis will give you the first class for free because how will one become a member if you don't even know what they offer? FIT house does not care about the Davis community as reflected in their nonsensical rules. Next time let customers know from the moment they arrive your studio that there is no free class, so that people do not get the negative surprises. I tried a class there yesterday and was charged even though the class was too fast and there was no teacher, we were simply yelled at to do a variety of poses one after the other with no correction or breathing into each pose. There was no one to help correct you if you were doing something wrong because it was too fast. A terrible class I never wanted to pay for. They forced me to pay even though I was extremely disappointed with the service. I highly recommend Kaya studio, they TEACH yoga there. read more

Let's talk about BLANCHE! Oh my goodness, she is so kind and positive. Her energy is powerful and encouraging. She is also a great motivator. Wonderful at keeping you focused. Recently moved to Davis and my roommate (who goes to bootcamp here) recommended Fit House to me. I've only done their yoga classes, which I can comment on. They have a special 30 day for $30 yoga deal for new clients. They have two main styles that I've tried: vinyasa and yin yoga. Vinyasa on Sunday mornings are packed. The teachers I've had are fantastic. Class level would be about an intermediate-advance. Beginners can always modify though. Love the yoga studio. Very clean and spacious. read more

I love FIT House SO much! I do yoga there, and the instructors are all so attentive and helpful. They truly care about every person in their classes, and constantly go above and beyond. Every session is a great workout, and I feel great afterwards. I will say that it is helpful to kind of know what you're doing before hand, but they also offer classes specifically for beginners. The instructors encourage you to take your own pace, and are constantly walking around the room assisting you with poses. This review is for the first spin class I took here with Blanche!! She is wonderful and definitely makes you feel included even though it's easy to focus mainly on your regulars. I know that FIT house is a small gym where you do get daily members and that was one thing I was worried about prior to signing up. I'm a student and I like coming once or twice every two weeks because my schedule is hectic but its nice to be acknowledged and helped when in a large cycling class. The day I came in, the class was filled but she still took the time to help every new individual with bike set up and measurements. She got me fitted for mine in one go! I love her energy and also her love for Hispanic music too Her playlist helped me get pumped up for the work out and she's very clear about how to transition through out the spin exercises along the way! This review is for yoga. I joined the Fithouse family 2.5 years ago and have been regularly practicing at their studio several times a week ever since. They have an amazing collection of instructors who guide you through a motivating, positive and at times challenging (as challenging as you want for yourself,) practice. The studio is clean, bright, heated, welcoming and always filled with positivity. Classes are frequently filled with regulars as well as a constant stream of new participants. The instructors make it a point to get to know the participants, are warm, approachable and engaging. They also vary in their teaching techniques, so you never fall into a routine that becomes boring. These instructors know how to motivate you and bring out the best in every person in class. read more

I love FIT House and their team! They are incredibly supportive, energetic and friendly. I have taken their spin, yoga, barre and fusion fit classes. They are all challenging in different ways but you'll get a great workout with personal attention during any of them. The spin classes are beat based and tend to involve a lot of upper body movements and they always have free weights with one song (sometimes two). They provide modifications throughout the class to ensure that riders of all levels get the workout they need. They offer three types of yoga, power vinyasa, yin and yin-nidra. Their instructors and assistants are wonderful and provide plenty of support and modifications throughout each class. Each instructor has their own style and energy which in turn provides you with many options as to who you may frequent more than the others but all of them are wonderful! I have only had great experiences here as they push me to try new classes and types of workouts. I've been doing a small group private training with Lisa Herrington for more than 5 years and it's the longest I've stayed with any fitness regimen. She's amazing and because the exercises/routine is never the same, I'm never bored. And I I'm stronger because of it. I've recently tried to challenge myself with barre and yoga classes and appreciate the variety of techniques they offer as well as levels. Fit House is the best gym I've ever belonged to. I'm 47 and I've moved around, so I've seen a few gyms! It's owned by four strong, welcoming, fun and wonderful women. They don't run it from some corporate office--they're also instructors. You see at least one owner every day, sometimes all four. They know your name and remember what classes you like. All the instructors, owners or not, go out of their way to get to know you and inspire you. I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to FitHouse instructors. It's not an all-female place, but it's mostly female. I love that. One male instructor and a few male members. Sometimes I think Fit House makes their male members read a book about How Not To Be A Jerk before joining. :) I have never once experienced any mansplaining, inappropriate behavior or "frat boy" attitudes. All the members are friendly and supportive of each other. Young college students, grandmothers, hardcore athletes and just-exercising-for-the-first-time-in-10-years people all have a great time together in the classes. Fit House has helped me learn to enjoy living in Davis. I can't recommend it highly enough. One more thing: Don't be fooled if you think "yoga" means "napping" or if you see a spinning instructor wearing a skirt. You're going to walk out of those classes absolutely dripping. :) read more

I started coming to FIT House back when it first opened and was at the old location in Davis. At those times I did yoga, spin classes and boot camp. I've always had great experiences in the classes and feel that the studio has a really positive, supportive vibe. In the past year my focus has been yoga. I've attended William's yoga classes (Yin and Flow) and absolutely love them. I've been doing yoga for over 20 years, and have been a Vinyasa flow yoga teacher for 15, so I'm rather picky about my yoga. William's classes are creative, fun, and always accompanied with positive messages and good music. I like the 'flow' of his classes and can tell that his teaching comes from his heart, but is also rooted in his training and knowledge. I also like the friendly environment that surrounds his yoga classes, in that there is time for chit chat after class with him and other students - it helps to feel like we are all part of a bigger yoga/fitness community. Thank you FIT house for bringing talented and skilled instructors like Willam to Yolo County! I encourage anybody who wants to practice yoga in Davis to check out William's classes. read more
