Great gym. Wonderful staff, clean, nice equipment and not as crowded as many gyms in Davis.

The gym is unique in terms of the layout and structure, however, that does not compensate for the neglect that the owners have with the place. The fans are very high powered, but you can't really feel the air due to lack of cleaning and the amount of dust that has accumulated from the months or years of not cleaning them. Toilets are consistently breaking so there are times where there will be one stall available for a full gym and takes almost 2 weeks to fix at a time. paper towels in the bathroom have always been lacking as well. The roof is also caving in due to water leaks in the cardio room, which is very hazardous and the consistently have to move machines around to avoid someone getting seriously injured. Their yoga mats look like they have never been changed before and they are the point where they mostly torn and disgusting. Overall, for the price, you are paying for a gym that is neglected by owners who refused to keep up and do minimum work in order to have as much as possible I would highly not recommend this gym to anyone whatsoever. The instructors make weight lifting accessible for anyone ; I'd never lifted before and was a bit nervous, but they made me so comfortable. As a woman who's never lifted, I get apprehensive at crossfit gyms and other places because they are so male dominated with testosterone fueled masculine energy. But here, I've been delighted to see so many women attend the classes -- in fact, I've been in a few women-only classes. And while it's accessible, it's still rigorous. I've learned so much and gotten way stronger. Honestly, this gym is what I'll miss the most when I move!

Negative for me: - all of the high school kids. four kids to one machine. They're all goofing around, having a good time in their pajamas and crocs. Wouldn't even have known that they're here to work out. - The cable machine is not mounted down so when someone is lifting heavy, and you're sitting at the lap pull down, you can feel the machine moving dragon forth. It's wobbly. - Treadmills Bluetooth don't link to your Apple Watch - The usual amount of backpacks on the floor I'm an avid gym goer and have been to many gym. There is a lot of equipment and many sets of dumbbells and kettle balls and other fitness items. There are paper towel dispensers and spray disinfectant scattered throughout with signs asking people to wipe down the equipment after use. I did notice one weight machine had an "Out of Order" sign. There are locker rooms with showers. There is no body soap or shampoo dispensers in the showers, so bring your own if you plan to shower there. One woman warned me that the shower never got warm. I'll be sure to mention that at the desk if I experience it too. Check your health plan because many offer free basic membership at your local Planet Fitness. We took advantage of that and are now members at no cost to us. If we want to upgrade to a Black membership, it would currently be only a $13 per month charge. I may upgrade if I find myself using the place enough. They recommended that I download the app. They also sent an email with a link to "Create My Personal Login" I did that, creating a username and password on my computer. I then went to the app to login and it asked for my email address and then said they couldn't find an account with that email. So I created a new account in the app with my email, but then it couldn't find that I was already a member. It did want me to verify my email address, I got an email with a link to Verify. Did so a and a new web page opened on my computer saying to sign in on the app with a barcode number. I never received a barcode number. On my next visit to PF I hope to work this all out. Update regarding the App, I filled out an online survey and mentioned my problem with the app. Not long later I received a phone call from Planet Fitness offering to help me with the app over the phone but suggested it would be easier to take care of it on my next visit. Thank you Julia and Planet Fitness for reaching out to me.
