The trainers are always extremely helpful and never pushy . The price is always fair and the classes that come with the gym are very good. I lost over 100 pounds because of this place, I got into yoga because of place, I reached my goal of benching 315 pounds because of this place. I'll share a quick story about how friendly the staff is. When the Pandemic hit they didn't charge me a dime. In fact they gave me additional months because I paid a year in advance. They went though a rough time closed down and the place is better then ever with renovations. Equipment is always taken care of and lots of the people who work out there are just as friendly. Some people are just spoiled and want everything picture perfect. Thank you Davis swim staff for providing an excellent work out environment.

On weekdays, they are open from 7 am to 6pm, 7 am to noon on Saturdays, closed on Sundays. Very clean inside, staff who are very skilled and knowledgeable. In July 2024, I had a consultation that lasted around 45 minutes, and the staff was able to accurately diagnose an IT band and hip issue. He gave good suggestions on PT exercises to not only address the issue, but exercises to strengthen other parts of the body where it was weak. In late 2023, I had a swollen right knee with much pain when I walked. The same staff properly diagnosed a quad injury that I sustained from work earlier that month. I was given sound advice, 2-3 targeted exercises, and proper rest. Just to be sure, I met with my Kaiser doctor, and he too confirmed the quad tear injury. I followed the suggested exercises, and my quad and knee were back to normal in about a month, and still good today!! From young to old, I feel this location is a PT diamond in the rough in Davis. I highly recommend it if you are in need of good PT's in the area!

Full first-timer tour, big smiles, "can't wait to have you back" energy, and the front desk deserves its own standing ovation because wow... above and beyond. I love a studio that refuses to stay in its lane. Yoga, cycle, Pilates, strength, personal training, plus a dangerously cute retail section. I literally came back later just to shop and walked out with a full set (on sale... say less). Even the Tiem cycle shoes were calling my name. Did a triple this morning because apparently I like to test my life choices. Warm mat Pilates (hit around 90°) was solid, but give me darker lighting, more intensity, slower burn... really take me out. Cycle was good, just needed to be louder with more punch. Strength class wrapped it up nicely. Overall, strong lineup--but if I'm doing three back-to-back, I expect to leave as a ghost, and I was still very much alive. Vibes? Good... friendly, welcoming, easy to settle into. Only downside... they ghosted ClassPass, which is a bummer for travelers or commitment-phobes like me. Drop-ins are $30 or 3 for $49, so yeah... your wallet will feel that. And no first class free for locals... bold of them to skip the "try me before you buy me" era.

My son joined in the summer of 2025, right after graduating high school, to strength train before college tryouts. He could not say enough about it, and recommended it to us. I wondered how an 18 year old and his parents could both love the same gym, but tried it anyway. I had never really used barbells or done CrossFit when I joined, although I have always been generally active. Kirsten and Matt have created a special, welcoming, supportive community. All the coaches were amazing, and Lisa and Ashley in particular were incredibly helpful to me - their patience and knowledge inspired confidence that I could continue to improve, and showed me that I actually wanted to. As the year went on, I found myself looking forward to going to the gym - something I have never felt before. We are moving out of the area, and I never would have thought I would be sad to leave a gym, but I truly am. I hope to visit when we are back, and I am grateful for everything the CFD community has done for me this year.

I dropped into Performance 22 Gym for their 9/11 Fireman workout and WOW... apparently "warm up" means a run and casually climbing 9 flights of stairs. Coach was great though, the kind that smiles while you question your life choices. Left feeling weirdly amazing and mildly attacked (my favorite combo). Love a gym I can't dominate on day one... gives me something to chase. Easy booking on ClassPass which is clutch for travelers. No showers that I saw, but bathrooms and water are there... and honestly you'll be too busy surviving to care.
