I like Davis. This is the fifth time I've been here, second time I've been here a week or more…read morewhere I could travel around and get to know it. I encounter nice people, very little bad language, especially considering it usually a town of young people, lots of interesting restaurants and stores, easy distance from Sacramento and San Francisco, good theater and concert venues, several movie theaters for such a small town, a good selection of motels, car rentals and basic amenities. The weather gets pretty hot in the summer but now in June it's just perfect to me. Lake Tahoe and Reno are not that far, there are small shopping centers in town and larger ones within a half hour drive. And it's a really pretty town to drive around in. About the only thing it's missing is the ocean! I'll be sorry if my daughter moves away from this area because then I won't have an excuse to visit here and it's pretty far from San Diego to travel to without a strong motivation. I appreciate having the opportunity to enjoy it as much as I have though.

I think it's kinda pricey cause a season pass to raging waters is cheaper than that. I ended up having to come back and told them how they messed up, they were able to fix the problem and enrolled them in the right class. They were pretty nice about everything too. They offer a variety of classes for kids and adults during the summer and the prices are very reasonable. From sports, cooking, yoga, and kid quest..they have almost everything! Many fun activities to enjoy during the summer.

We love the safety and health procedures that are in place to make sure our little ones can stay active while also staying healthy during this pandemic! Having a high level gymnastics background, it was important to me that I place my children in a program that is safe and also promotes learning basics correctly the first time. We don't always think about the future of our children's athletic life at 2/3, but the basics learned in beginning level gymnastics is so vital for almost every sport, and making sure they are being learned correctly is crucial. It makes transitioning your little one into another sport seamless! We checked out all the gyms around the yolo county area and we can without a doubt say that this is where the healthiest habits are being fostered! And you don't have to take my word for it ! They have a great trial option so you can see how wonderful the fit is!

I have never of heard of this place until the party, which was really a cool place to go to. The kids go into a pretty big gym room and the parents are outside in another room but can look in from the big window. The offer ninja warrior type classes there when I was looking at their activities available. There was two instructors there leading the children though the course. After the play time, the children were brought to a good size room to have their snacks and sing happy birthday to the birthday boy. I would say it would fit about 20 (4-5 y/o) and maybe 15 (6-8 y/o) Overall experience is a good one if you want a fun place to celebrate your kids birthday instead of a bounce house. Unless the bounce house, you can bring your own food which I like.

Everyone needs to know the truth about Planet Gymnastics!…read more It's an awful, horrible place. And besides the dirty equipment and dusty area the instructors are rude and impatient. A member of my family was enrolled in the Saturday class at beginner's level. She was not athletic and had never done gymnastics before. Her instructor was an awful lady. She singled my family member out because she wasn't athletic and made her feel bad about herself. At one point the instructor asked my family member to hang from a bar with weights on her feet. She fell in the ball pit. Then she tried again and landed in the ball pit because she physically couldn't hold on to the bar. The instructor was annoyed and thought my family member was just doing it to get out of exercising, and she threatened to put her in time out! Plus, the area and floor were so chalky and dusty that it made my family member's eyes run. The rope climb scratched her hands, but her instructor made her do it anyway, then made her feel bad when she couldn't reach the top. My family member ended up quitting the class. Overall, a waste of time and money for what was supposed to just be a fun activity. Please, please, please don't enroll your kid in the gymnastics class.

Unfortunately, over time, she lost interest and no longer wanted to go because she didn't feel supported by her new coach, Kyile. She felt that the coach Kyile had something against her and didn't truly care about the girls. As a parent, it was heartbreaking to watch her excitement and passion fade. I hope she finds a gym where the coaches encourage, support, and believe in their athletes so she can fall in love with gymnastics again and regain the confidence she once had.

Coaches do not provide recommendations to students or parents on what they can work on at home to support progress, and overall communication from the coaching staff is lacking. Unfortunately, the front desk staff--specifically the woman who sits at the front--has been consistently rude and unprofessional. There were issues with emails that I never received regarding a show. When I called to sort it out (after my girls had practiced very hard and were excited to participate), the front desk staff member spoke down to me, made rude comments, and laughed throughout the conversation. She clearly lacks basic people skills, unless she is interacting with people she personally knows. I later reached out to inform them that we would be going on vacation and that my daughters would miss a few classes. Her response was, "You still need to pay" I was already aware of that and was simply communicating as a courtesy, in case the teacher noticed or cared that my children would be absent. While we were on vacation, I received an email stating, "We missed your daughter in class--is everything okay?" I responded promptly and explained that we were on vacation. The same front desk staff member replied that the message was automated and to disregard it--followed once again by a reminder about payment. Mind you, we have never missed a payment in over two and a half years. Overall, this business is rude, lacks communication, appears money-driven, and several coaches (with the exception of one or two) seem unhappy during classes. Advancement is rare, progress is minimal, and it ultimately feels like a waste of time and money. I will be taking my children--and my business--elsewhere, just as several other families and coaches have recently done.

When Kindergarten appeared to be overwhelming my…read moredaughter ("Dad...It's EVERY DAY?!") she asked me about gymnastics, and her work-outs here have become the highlight of her school week. I admit I browsed the mixed reviews here and had my own doubts, and I also sent an email that never got responded to, but this gym deserves a ton of credit, and here are the reasons: For starters, it is a sprawling, well-organized facility divided strategically for toddlers/beginners, advanced, and parental spectators (me). I was really surprised at how big this place was, as you couldn't tell from the outside. To get enrolled, check out their website, or I wish I had just gone in-person from the start to see the gym and ask my questions. Basically, there is a $100 enrollment fee, granting access to their portal to register for classes. They also have their own mobile app to do this. The classes are organized by date, time, and age/ability level - and limited in size. For my 5-year old, the max class size is 5 students, and while that can make it tough if your time slot is filled, it's ideal so the instructor can give your child more attention. Our daughter's coach is great! Giving her a mix of fun, encouragement, and discipline all at the same time. We're not expecting her to become Simone Biles overnight lol, and we're not sure how long this gymnastics phase will last, but it is a joy to see her try new techniques and find pride in her own accomplishments. Thank you, PESA!

A facility that's located in a warehouse with tall ceilings and roll up doors will not be easily climate controlled. The staff is amazing, caring, knowledgeable and my kids love them. To me, that's all that matters. My 3 kids have all attended here for 10, 8 and 4 years. They have always been safe and happy here. We have also had numerous birthday parties here too! On hot days we take morning classes or I send them with ice water, or they cancel the class and we make it up later. On cold days the gym has the heater on and my kids wear an extra layer, that they shed during class. This non-profit is one of the best kid centered programs for our families in town.
