My daughter climbing the ladder and teacher Meg

Finally got my daughter in for a trial class after 4 months! She seemed to really enjoy herself so we will be trying the gym stars class 3.5-4.5 years old. Our teacher was Ms. MEG. she was patient and kind and the class sizes are a pretty intimate (6-8 kids per teacher). One thing that would have been a nicer touch - I wish the front desk would have offered an combine all the charges at the end to consolidate the cc fee. One fee to charge the trial. Another fee for the next class. $5 extra (not a deal breaker but would have been a nicer touch).

We have visited Planet Gymnastics for birthday parties before and today, we were here for a "trial" for Ninja class. ($10) Staff at the front desk was very informative about the schedules and fees for the program. There were three classes going on at once with multiple assigned instructors and I was very pleasant to see the kids following the rules and having fun at the same time. The parents/ guardians are seated in the waiting/ viewing room. Kids get two water breaks between 50 minute session. Well... we signed up for the membership! Lol One time $40 annual membership + $35 Ninja T shirt (required) + monthly due $90 (once a week class) We are very excited to be here once a week.

Absolutely love this for my 5 year old! She had a blast and the instructor, Isabella was very engaging with each student. The transition between classes is a little hectic and the area small but it doesn't take away from the quality of the services being provided. I would suggest possibly giving a 5-10 minute transition time between classes to allow for students to exit and enter. I am highly recommending!! The cost ranges from 90-150 per month dependent on the number of classes. We opted for 2 classes per month.

My son has been coming here for a month, and so far it's been an absolute saving grace in terms of getting out some pent up wiggles. The instructors are patient and fantastic and the facility is exactly what you'd hope for - basically a big room full of gym equipment for kids. My son is part of a class with two other children and he loves it. They go through a lot of basic exercises, but perhaps more important is that he is always moving, always pushing his limits and skill sets. Chloe is his instructor and she is caring and sweet with the kids. I also have to genuinely applaud them for the safety measures they've taken during COVID-19. Temp checks at the front desk, face masks for adults while you wait and watch your children and sanitization between classes. Front to back, it feels like a completely safe experience. I can update this after he has some time to progress, but for now I'm happy he has an outlet to socialize and play.

I took my 8 month old for a trial class for $10. We started in the main gym with all the other ages and moved to a smaller private room for the Tiny Tumblers (8mos-3.5 yrs) to run around freely. The room has a good variety of different gym equipment. This is an unstructured class, which they do say at the beginning. I may go back once she is a but older, walking and can understand the things going on in circle time. Pros: close by, friendly staff, organized Cons: monthly cost seems high (haven't compared with other gyms)

Planet is the place you want your kids to learn gymnastics. Not only do they offer gymnastics, but a new ninja program and a fancy feet ballet program. I attended planet gymnastics as a child and went on to the competitive level. The coaches they hire were also previous gymnasts who love the sport, have the patience to teach children, and encourage children to be a better and more athletic version of themselves. As you may know, gymnastics requires at least a subtle level of discipline required to excel. As you watch your child perfect their form you can also see the enthusiasm and energy the coaches bring, resulting in the skills they acquire over the weeks. I highly recommend planet gymnastics. The ownership, coaching, and equipment quality is elite. I highly recommend touring.

For toddlers: They spend about 15 minutes in circle time singing songs and the rest is free play. Pretty pricey.

Upon arrival, it was a nice welcome to see that for birthday parties, the entire location is secured just for that one party and not others like it can be with other venues. Everyone was welcomed and the staff were attentive to the children and parents. The location has seating as well near the entrance that is separate from the play area, so parents/grandparents are not in the way :) The location isn't "huge" but seemed to have plenty of structures for the kids to play on. My initial reaction was that there wasn't much especially considering that after a child uses say a trampoline, they may get bored shortly after. However, what I didn't see right away is they have a back room FILLED with different toys and activities. During the party, there was face painting, they played modern music and dance, they incorporated dodge ball between parents and children, there was a zip line, and frequent stops to bring up a new challenge or activity for the kids. There was even a moment where the lights went down, and a laser light show was on with some pop music. Overall, I can see why kids really enjoy this place and my daughter had a really great time being entertained by the staff. This is a great venue if you have smaller children and enjoy a location where you don't need to frequently monitor if your children haven't run away or get out of view, this is a solid option.

I will admit our first class I was still skeptical and a little upset thinking this isn't for her. Could have been because I signed her up for an age range that met her age (2 years) all the way up to 9 years, Mighty Mixers. Gymsters class might've been a more suitable one to start her off with first. It's been 2 months since we've been attending classes and my daughter absolutely LOVES coming here. It's great social interaction for my toddler and it's amazing to see how much more strength and skills she's obtained in a short amount of time. I appreciate the ability to easily switch up your class time, mark absent, and schedule make ups all online. The staff we've encountered so far are all fantastic! They really hone in to each child's personality and skills while still maintaining a way to be fun. And they're so approachable, especially to the shy kiddos. My daughter actually shouts "YAY" when I say we've arrived to My Gym. Talk about having an impact! Can't wait to see where we are with her skills in another few months.

One of the limitations they have is gymnastics. Boys can join gymnastics if they are under four (? Or 5?) years old, but when they get older, they cannot move to a higher level because it is for girls only. Otherwise, they have dance, swimming and Tag. We currently have our daughter enrolled in tag, and most of the teachers are pretty good. It gets a bit tricky when you have other kids in the same class who are disruptive and the teacher doesn't do much to navigate to the class back. If! You are a parent that likes to come early before the class, it might be a bit tricky getting in since the other classes are just getting out. With that, the best area to park is in the back. There's even a back door there you can enter through. If you miss a class or are planning to miss a class, you just have to make sure to notify them via website two hours prior to the class so that you can get a make up for the class for next time, so make sure you grab all of the class schedules located in the check-in desk on the wall because you can choose any make up class to try! Overall, it's a good all in one place to try.

We don't always think about the future of our children's athletic life at 2/3, but the basics learned in beginning level gymnastics is so vital for almost every sport, and making sure they are being learned correctly is crucial. It makes transitioning your little one into another sport seamless! We checked out all the gyms around the yolo county area and we can without a doubt say that this is where the healthiest habits are being fostered! And you don't have to take my word for it !
