We did not receive any tentative communication from the studio to check up on her. We switched to another dance school in town, and my daughter is doing great. Despite the number of kids enrolled, they make it a point to know your child by name, have a diverse number of classes to chose from and provide feedback on our child's progress and recommended classes for the following year. ODA also provides opportunities for the classes to perform in care homes, city events; bringing joy with every tap, flip and sashay! They are truly a gem in our community. They let our children be children that can grow into their craft ; not falling into the hype that other studios fall into no promotion harmful stereotypes nor unrealistic expectations here. I've only been on staff for 1 year, and my philosophy is that we must always strive to improve - thus my 4-star rating. The Dynamic Dancing class offerings are expanding this year to include more classes for all ages. Our programs for Adults and Seniors include: Stretch & Strength, Creative Movement, Ballet Basics, Belly Dancing, Jazz and a Dance Aerobic program called "Get UP and Dance!" With our 4-person staff we're also offering more of the fundamental classes for children and teens (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop), as well as Dance Exploration and Creative Movement. All of our classes are held at the Woodland Community Center which is responsible for registering and collecting payments. We're working hard with WCC staff to improve and simplify these processes. I have no gymnastics experience whatsoever. I wore jogger style pants (the ones that get tight at the ankles), a tight tank top, and a polyester shirt. My outfit worked well for what we were doing because it was breathable but also tight enough to where it wasn't flying in my face when I went up side down. You can also wear shorts and any regular t shirt. Just wear something comfortable Barefeet on the floor and also a mask required at this point. Months back I bought an UnderArmour face mask that is perfect for working out in, and it was perfect for this. Also, being a water bottle! Parking is fine (at least at night), there is a parking lot in front of the gym with plenty of spaces. And if it were to fill up there is a neighborhood(on Albany Ave at Donovan Ct) that you could park in and just walk through a little walkway that leads directly to their front door. I walked in and met coach Shawn and one of the other participants. My classmate showed me where to put my belongings (there's benches that are visible from the floor of the gym). As a class we did some conditioning to warm up - that night it was push ups, planks, toe raises, some jumping. It was very doable; my classmates told me that in past classes, conditioning is more challenging (something to expect). Then we did basic stretches. After that, the coach tells the class where we are for the day (floor, bars, beam). This night we were on bars. The coach demonstrated the different stations and then we rotated between them as a class (one person on each bar doing something different). My classmates were amazing; they helped me and encouraged me. After a while on the bars it became open gym where you can practice anything. I just jumped around a lot and also practiced falling backwards into a mat. So thankful that Davis Diamonds has an adult class! If you're thinking about trying it but a little anxious, I say give it a chance! There is a range of skill levels among the adults and no judgement; just a lot of fun. ‍

The setting is very structured and the opportunity to participate in the performances are great. Due to recurring health stuff we had to discontinue but Ms. Cassy was so understanding and kind to us. We hope to return someday and definitely will recommend their services to others.
