SWEETS: Green Apple & Strawberry Banana The mixture of green and white bears are way bigger in size than the Haribo-brand version. The green apple flavor was very distinctive and spot-on but the strawberry banana was more of a creamy strawberry. Awesome Blossoms These are multi-colored, fruit-shaped gummies that give off a strong fruity smell upon opening the pouch. The flavors were very bold and tasted like real fruit juice. Amazing! Strawberry Red in color and yup, tasted like a strawberry. A favorite among the office and the first bag to go out. OVERALL: I like a little sweet carnauba wax every now and then, LOL.

(+) Azuki bean mochi…read more Maui specialty chocolates is a family owned business that sells high quality chocolates, candies and mochi. They have plenty of selection in terms of chocolate. The reason we visit here is for their mochi. The mochi is some of the best I've ever had, and I have been to Japan to try theirs. The flavors are chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, and azuki bean (red bean). I'm not a peanut butter fan nor chocolate, so I just ate the red bean mochi. The mochi is so soft and the red bean filling is not too sweet and filled with a good amount of it. Since it is a family business, the hours are fluctuate constantly. There was a point where every time we visited, it was closed during our stay for 4 years straight. Check their website to confirm hours.

If you don't make it, then order from their online shop. You won't regret it! If you are Latino, I guarantee your favorite thing in all their snacks will be the "Spicy Whole Seed" and "Sweet & Sour Whole Seed" if you're anything like my Mexican hubby. We could not stop eating them! The LiHing Mango and dried Papaya were also very delicious and had the perfect combination of flavor and texture. The LiHing gummy Peach rings are unexplainable. It tastes like no peach rings you have ever experienced. I don't even like peach rings like that. Strangely, it feels like love was literally put in the bag. It's not listed as an ingredient, but it's totally in there. Maybe it's Aloha, maybe it's just quality ingredients. Whatever it is, I hope the recipe never changes, because everyone should experience it! If you're a "foodie" this is a must stop shop on the island.

Honestly surprised there aren't more reviews for Lee Bear! They are a Maui institution and have…read morebeen serving the community with specialty chocolates, candy making supplies, handmade crafts, and amazing gift baskets for over 30 years! Their little store is small, but mighty and the service is nothing short of spectacular. What *I think* they're mostly known for is their gift baskets/boxes. When holidays, birthdays, special occasions roll around, Lee Bear is such a great place to find an assortment of goodies for friends and loved ones. Their gift baskets are filled with treats like candies, Maui Cookkwees, gourmet cookies and rice krispies that have been dipped in a rich, decadent chocolate coating; freshly hand-dipped in their store to ensure high quality flavor. My favorite is the white chocolate covered pretzels with rice krispies, marshmallows, etc. SO good. It's the first thing I call dibs on when I see it. Haha! Just recently, I stopped in when my little one suggested we make lollipops. They had a wide selection of molds, gel food coloring, candy thermometer, basically everything and anything we needed. They even sold the white chocolate covered rice krispy treat by the package! It's a bit of a splurge, but I like what I like and will pay for it... lol. When we checked out, the lady (I'm assuming the owner?) asked us if we've made lollipops before and offered up so many tips and hacks. She answered all of our questions and even provided a mini recipe book that she suggested we keep as they don't make them anymore. I was really impressed, but not really surprised, with the quality of their customer service. That's what I love about mom and pop shops and the reason I will continue to support local businesses like these. Next time you decide to make a treat or need a quick, easy gift, you don't have to spend hours shopping for the perfect gift. Stop by the store or order a sweet gift basket from Lee Bear & Co Inc.

Absolutely terrible customer service…read more We placed an order based on the information provided through the delivery platform, only to find out that the information did not match the location's actual delivery policies. If you're going to use third-party delivery services, make sure the information customers see is accurate and reflects your business practices. What made the experience even worse was the interaction with one of the employees. When we called for clarification, the woman who answered was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She offered no explanation, made no attempt to help, and simply hung up on us. Mistakes happen, but treating customers with respect should be the bare minimum. Instead of taking ownership of the confusion, we were met with poor communication and a complete lack of professionalism. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this business until they improve both their customer service and the accuracy of the information they provide on their delivery platforms.
