It looked beautiful and was a large portion, but the two extra poached eggs I ordered were completely hard-poached. When I brought this up, the woman behind the counter flippantly told me, "Yes, this is how we make them." Poached eggs should ALWAYS have a runny yolk & I didn't believe her answer for a second. Clearly they made a mistake they did not want to own up to. I was highly disappointed by her attitude, especially since I paid extra for the eggs.

The reason we visit here is for their mochi. The mochi is some of the best I've ever had, and I have been to Japan to try theirs. The flavors are chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, and azuki bean (red bean). I'm not a peanut butter fan nor chocolate, so I just ate the red bean mochi. The mochi is so soft and the red bean filling is not too sweet and filled with a good amount of it. Since it is a family business, the hours are fluctuate constantly. There was a point where every time we visited, it was closed during our stay for 4 years straight. Check their website to confirm hours.

My favorite is the white chocolate covered pretzels with rice krispies, marshmallows, etc. SO good. It's the first thing I call dibs on when I see it. Haha! Just recently, I stopped in when my little one suggested we make lollipops. They had a wide selection of molds, gel food coloring, candy thermometer, basically everything and anything we needed. I tried an edible arrangement but they would not deliver it to Maui hospital. I was able to get a hold of the kind lady from Lee Bear and although it was after hours, she took the time to talk to me. She listened to my situation and kindly took down my information and when she went to the store the next day, she made my order and delivered it to the hospital!! What amazing service! This is a prime example of living aloha!! I cannot even say how much I appreciated what she had done for me and how much it meant to me. The person receiving the gift basket was also elated and enjoyed the delicious treats that were in the basket!! Mahalo nui loa Lee Bear!!

If you're going to use third-party delivery services, make sure the information customers see is accurate and reflects your business practices. What made the experience even worse was the interaction with one of the employees. When we called for clarification, the woman who answered was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She offered no explanation, made no attempt to help, and simply hung up on us. Mistakes happen, but treating customers with respect should be the bare minimum. Instead of taking ownership of the confusion, we were met with poor communication and a complete lack of professionalism. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this business until they improve both their customer service and the accuracy of the information they provide on their delivery platforms.
