I've been here multiple times and just felt like I didn't matter. This morning I show up at 6:45am. Lights on. Door unlocked. I wasn't sure when they open, so I even looked for a sign with hours. They don't seem to have one. So, I come in and try to order coffee. I just stand there for a few min and when someone finally acknowledges me, they tell me they aren't open and won't just hand me the coffee cup I've already paid for through the sip club. I don't know if I'm just in a mood today or what, but that strikes me as really poor customer service. The coffee's made. Is 13 minutes really worth it? All that to say: a) other Paneras are more customer-aware/focused, and b) you need to know that they open at 7. One more recommendation I'd make: play some normal music. I don't know who has the taste for the weird eclectic music, but I don't think it's your customers. At least, not this one. read more

My husband loves the chicken and wild rice soup here so we grabbed an early lunch here last Sat. It was so nice we sat outside. I got my current sandwich fav, bacon turkey bravo, with Caesar salad. Both were delicious. Lots of Parmesan cheese on the salad. When our order was ready (we didn't wait long) the young man at counter kindly offered to carry one of the plates outside for me. How nice! I declined as he had other work to do but it was so thoughtful. Oh my chai tea was also great. But Panera need to bring back house latte they had several years ago. A-OK St. Louis Bread (Panera) location. If anyone didn't know this, Panera started in St. Louis as St. Louis Bread Co and then expanded everywhere as Panera. This location still has the St. Louis Bread Co sign on the front of the building. This is an older location, with dated carpet and aging furnishings. The staff were friendly enough, and the place was packed. I enjoyed my Asiago Bagel but the Latte was only okay, I really am not a fan of Panera's coffee options. A decent chain to grab a quick bite or do some homework/actual work on your laptop, but nothing great for the price. read more

I arrived right when they opened the door at 7am. Ordered the Steel Cut Oats with a banana and coffee. I was greeted with a cheery smile and a "Good Morning!". I poured myself the Light Roast coffee which was hot and perfect. When my oatmeal came up, they forgot the side banana. I had to ask and then wait while the server went to a back area to get my banana which may have a little too brown for some people. But, that is the way I like my bananas. The oats are topped with cinnamon, strawberries and pecans. So, the combo is delicious. However, it could have came out warmer. The oatmeal was cold before I finished. Atmosphere is comfy with the music at the perfect volume. Looks like there are regulars that meet each other for breakfast. Really not great. I do like bread co. but this location is not the best. I ordered the 4 breakfast egg sandwich bundle which included 2 garden avocado egg whites, a chicken chipotle, a ciabatta egg and bacon, and a candy cookie that my partner wanted. None of these sandwiches came with any avocado whatsoever. Sandwiches were mostly just the ingredients slapped into a wrapper then folded shut, there was little to no attempt to even assemble these sandwiches. The only sandwich out of the four that was assembled was the chicken chipotle. food is extremely cold as if i ordered hours prior, but ordered it as a carry-out through door dash and picked it up with in the given 12 minute pick up time. I do not recommend this location unless you want cold and to assemble your food yourself. I would have had a better experience with the Jack in the box in front of this location, and that is saying a lot. read more

I didn't know there was a St. Louis Bread Company tucked back here! I had lunch with my mom and kids recently. It wasn't very busy so ordering was quick and our food was prepared fast, as well. After ordering, we had no further contact with any other workers. The young man at the register was fine, nothing exceptional. The interior space was neat, I didn't notice one table that needed to be bussed or wiped down. Food was just okay, but some favorites tasted decidedly blah. We got the Corn Chowder, the Broccoli Cheddar soup, the chicken Caesar salad, the Ciabatta Cheesesteak, the Tomato Basil BLT sandwich, the Green Goddess Caprese Melt, and a couple pastries for later (Chocolate Croissant, Pecan Braid, Cinnamon Crunch Bagel). This is a busy locations. There is no drive thru so the dining area is extra busy. Wanted to pop in to grab a quick coffee while on the way to a friends house. There really was nothing quick about it. I am a member of the SIP Club (I think that is what it is called, name has changed). I actually went ahead and paid for a years membership last instead of the month to month that I had paid for a couple of years. Due to recent changes at Panera I don't think I will be renewing. You used to be able to go in and quickly add your order to the Kiosk, grab your coffee and go. Now they no longer have cups out. You have to wait till the cooks at the pick up put your cup out. Such a crazy process that no longer makes it quick to run in and out. Today at 9:00 am they were out of two of the coffees. There were five people waiting there for them to refill the urns. It was a 10 minute process to run in and grab a 'quick' coffee. read more

We've been charged $8 for half a salad, but we are lucky to get the small container half full of anything more than just lettuce. Last time I got the Veggie sandwich, the only ingredients noticeable were some lettuce, lots of cucumber & lots of onions...tasted AWFUL! Service has become so bad that lately we've received salads with half the ingredients, half sandwiches when we ordered whole, soup (broth with 4 noodles 7 pcs carrot & no chicken), a tuna sandwich with tuna salad in one half & none in the other half...I could list more, but it's disheartening. Wish I'd have read the reviews first; I'd have realized this is just a redlined Panera. I didn't realize until I got to the order kiosk. So the food was as consistent as any Panera. Good French onion soup and Caesar salad. This particular Panera however was filthy. I finally found a table in a corner that didn't have trash all over it, just a straw wrapper. This location is near my office and delivers there at least 2-3 times per day, I also use their catering service for meetings via online ordering, I've used rapid pick up and I've personally eaten at the store. The food is good and fresh and our orders are correct 95% of the time. We are all human after all. They are ALWAYS on time or early for delivery of catering & individual orders. They are very reliable. I am deducting one star because they consistently do not make a very good Frozen Caramel compared to other locations, there are usually several tables that need to be wiped down, so you have to hunt for a clean one and I don't like that they put out a tip jar by the cashier. That's a pet peeve of mine. If you are not full service, what's the tip for exactly? I don't believe in tipping someone for just doing their job. That's the equivalent of a participation trophy. In the 3 years I have lived next to this bread co they have gotten my order right exactly one time. I would give them 0 stars if I could. If I were the owner of this site I would clean house even if I had to close the store for a month to do it. This location is the sole reason I stopped going to breadco. I used to love this chain, but I'm not driving 20 or more minutes to go to a good one when there closer and cheaper options that will get my order correct. To add this location is painfully slow. I had time to clean my whole apartment in the time my wife took to drive 5 minutes to this site order and return with the food. It's not what we ordered. We absolutely love Bread Company but will NEVER go to this one again. We order bread company at least 3 times a week. Recently, we found out this one was closer to our house, so we started ordering it from the Kennerly location. Last night, we did a rapid pick up for 2 bagels and cream cheese. I drove out there to get it and when I got there, the manager informed me my order had been cancelled because someone came into the store and they sold the bagels I ordered online to the in store customer. They refunded my order but I have to wait 5-7 days for it to show up back in my account. This morning, I ordered rapid pick up from the same location at 8:30. They told me the order would be ready at 8:30 (per my confirmation email) and my husband got out there at 8:40. Guess what? They had no recollection of our order. My husband talked to the manager and she said there was no order under my name. So, he went to the other Bread Co we frequent , in Sunset Hills, thinking maybe I ordered from that one (even though the email confirmation said Kennerly) and had to pay for the order over there So now, we have paid for the order 2x and only have one order. I called the Kennerly location to talk to the manager and was "disconnected." So, I called the corporate office who got through to the Kennerly store and cancelled my order. Still have to wait 5-7 days for that refund. Corporate said they would add a reward to my Panera account for all my troubles but she believes the manager at Kennerly. Clearly, the customer is never right at Panera. If Panera was not the only thing my son craves while in the hospital, I would probably never go there again. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! read more

Disappointed in this location. I eat at a Breadco literally every day. Stale bagel was my start. Definitely not fresh. And I mean inedible. So I pitched it and went with just coffee. Coffee was very watery and confirmed by employee looked like tea. But couldn't replace pot until it's gone???? FYI: most people coming in just grab cups unpaid fill n go. I see it all the time. This location has the check yourself out thing but it's constantly skipped. I'm thinking come on Tuesday steal the coffee and get a bakers dozen for a couple bucks more might be a better deal LOL Pink packets replaced with blue packets for sweetener? Lack of consistency location to location has become the norm: Ex: butter just out on the counter here but Arnold it's in the fridge as hard as a rock and non existent in Creve Coeur. They say the trucks parked in front of the freezer and they can't access it?? Also hours changed again in this location. I would think it would be handy to be open longer or earlier next to a hospital. With their cafe closed it's nice to have a place to go. I know inflation is crazy but we're knocking the hell out of $5 now for a single bagel and small coffee and lunch at north of $13 for a ladle of soup and a baguette w drink is insane. This is an appeal to management and not an attempt to single out any individual at this store. Something is very wrong. I have lived within five minutes of this location for about 5 years and subsequently have spent a great deal of money here (more than I am proud to admit). In the last 6-12 months the accuracy and turnaround time on orders has fallen off a cliff. This is a well-established chain with consistency across all stores with a headquarters a stone's throw away--how is this possible? Who is dropping the ball so very badly? Please, investigate this and start to bring this back to its former "glory days"...which just means not screwing up every single order with carelessness. read more

Don't work here If you want to be appreciated. Management is TERRIBLE about raises and promotions. They will hire new associates at a higher rate than employees that have been employed there for quite some time. Finally, don't work here if you want them to actually schedule them in your availability, a specific manager likes to be disrespectful and ignore that :) makes sense why some people are saying the associates are not super friendly, would you be in a great mood if some of the managers were disrespectful. Managers liked to pick favorites so if you work here make sure you are one ! That way you can work whenever you want and get promoted ASAP while other employees have to wait and never get appreciated. read more

I hate to be so critical, but please NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION. I love St. Louis Bread Co. and eat at a different location quit awhile and I NEVER have problems there, but I happen to be close to this location and decided to try it. 1. There was a line for the registers, so my family and I decided to use the kiosk like we always do. Only two out of the four were working and even then the card reader on ours wasn't working ( they also had no buzzers which wasn't a big deal, but really how hard is it to just put them out?! ) 2. The food was prepared really fast and look amazing which was about the only thing they did well... 3. I ordered a Greek salad which includes olives... that are supposed to be de-pitted. I took a couple of bites and it was really good per usual but then I took another bite and chomped right down on a olive that still had the pit in. Now I understand that an olive is small and can easily be missed sometimes, but how would you feel if you were eating a salad and chomped down on an olive pit... 4. The manager. From what I can see she seems really nice and she has good intentions, but she was talking SO loud that you couldn't help but turn your head. I really am not one to be so critical but this visit keeps me from ever wanting to go to a St. Louis Bread Co. It's really unfortunate because I love their food. read more

Restaurant has become a joke. I get they are short staffed so they have a sign that says order at the kiosk or on the app so their employees who are there can fill orders. The problem is they fail to enforce their own rules and allow people to continue ordering at the register so none of the orders get made for those of us following the rules so I will drive further to another location. read more

Overrated and overpriced. Don't get me wrong, I still go to Bread Co., or Panera if you aren't from Saint Louis, occasionally, but it's really nothing special. I end up spending at least $8.00 per meal, and I'm usually not even full by the end of it. When I go there I go with the Nappa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich or the Sierra Turkey. I sometimes mix it up and go with a Pick-2, which allows you to go with a soup and a sandwich or salad. I still like the place, but it really isn't worth the price tag. This Bread Co is a mess. They're constantly out of items. Aside from the bakery items, the quality of the food is pretty terrible. Portions of meat and other sandwich toppings are very skimpy. Their hours online are incorrect and they weren't even open on time based on the hours posted on their door. I try to avoid this Bread Co as much as possible!! read more

I have been going to this location for 10 years and this past year I have had the worst experiences. My orders are never on time. The delivery drivers are rude or seem high. My food is always different sizes. And my breakfast sandwich is right 10% of the time! I bought a "Mac and cheese" for my daughter and it is many water and noodles with a little bit of cheese on top.
