Cute spot in a strip mall. The decor is cute & has the Mediterranean vibe. They were very friendly. Food was fresh & made/ cooked to order. Ordered maslenica & cheesesteak sandwich. The garlic yogurt sauce was delicious.

The Berliner is 3 meals in one! Such a generous portion of chicken or steak in somun loaded with veggies and yogurt sauce. It is so flavorful and so fresh. We also really enjoyed the somun kajmak - bread with a cream cheesey -ish sauce with fresh dill and the hummus (lemony with fresh herbs). Service was quick and friendly.

We've being coming to J's for a couple of years and love it every single time. They have a great variety of Mediterranean options on the menu. Amazing food and friendly staff. For newbies go for the Berliner or the Cheesesteak Sandwich. The Mediterranean Pie with meat reminds me of my time in Bosnia. First time trying the cabbage and meat soup. Come out and enjoy!!

Always delicious and fresh! They have changed their service since I was last here and now you can sit and order at the tables for dine in. A nice change and lines up better with the "we aren't a fast food place" vibe of the restaurant. We split the hummus and got a couple of sandwiches and a salad to share. Yummy as always!

OMG! I hate this place is too far from my home because this would be at least a weekly stop! This food is AMAZING! The Berliner sandwich is PHENOMENAL, the Cevapi is OUTSTANDING and the pide is LIFE CHANGING! This place is always busy so I luckily went before lunch rush. They had a busy to go business as well as walk in. It is small but a neat and clean space for dine in and the staff is friendly helpful and gets your food out in a a pretty swift manner! Definitely check this place out for Balkan food you won't regret it! Ready for this place to expand to a second location closer to the city!

Excellent food . Very fresh and flavorful. Quite a few gluten free and vegan /vegetarian options. The dessert was delicious as well . It is a small place and since everything is made to order it can take a little time so as long as you are prepared to wait , it's all good . It's near a shopping complex and there is parking available there and there are a few spots infront of the restaurant. Service was brief and efficient. They bring you water and take your order . We got dessert ( the one with apples and a cake ) both were great as well .

Honestly really great food, but the wait time separates this review from a 4 to 5 for me. I know they cook everything fresh to order so the wait is a little longer, but I truly didn't expect to wait over 40 mins on a Wednesday at lunch time... it's counter service and it looked like they had a lot of takeout/to go orders, the restaurant was also quite packed and busy for a random middle of the day meal! They have many options on their menu, everything is delicious! I got the Berliner (their doner kebab) and my friend got the gyro. Both were really good

Was out and about on. Saturday and found J's Pitaria, a great Mediterranean restaurant. Located a few minutes southwest of St. Louis, J's Pitaria is a hidden hot spot that provides fresh Mediterranean food for any pallet. Seating is quite limited for larger parties but smaller groups can find tables without any issues. J's Pitaria menu had the traditional Mediterranean dishes you'd expect with a few custom dishes worth trying. Please note, J's Pitaria is not fast food, and orders are prepared with the freshest ingredients so please be patient when ordering as it will take a few minutes before it's ready. Enjoy a few delicious appetizers while you wait. Highly recommend Hummus and fresh pita bread! Prices are reasonable and again fresh ingredients to make your meal a great experience. Restaurant is very clean and tables were serviced quickly. Very good meal and enjoyable time at J's, we'll be back!

I've always thought of these guys as a carry-out place, but yesterday, I met a friend there for lunch. Holy cow it was amazing! When I've done carry out in the past, I've always gotten the Berliner or one of the pies. Always incredible. But yesterday I branched out. My buddy and I each got a flatbread, and shared, and they were outstanding. The lady working behind the counter came out and chatted with us, and the manager (owner?) did too, which I thought was cool. It was a fantastic experience from top to bottom. Definitely come hungry, or order to share with a friend. The dishes are enormous (and delicious)! You won't be disappointed!!!

Done and dusted out of this world! I'm glad to say I had a immensive time, these dishes didn't last very long I will tell you. They were busy, but that's just me. I think they're probably busier in the afternoon, but J came for dinner. Still busy anywho. Our server was so attentive, she checked up just enough times. First, I do want to compliment on the decor. It definitely captures the medditerian culture and aspects, just awesome. Tables, seats and floor were decently clean. Prices for the food were fairly priced, and portions were shareable and big enough. It came out fresh and hot, also tasty with lots of seasoning. This seems like more of a lunch spot, but I'm super glad I got to try this place. I will be coming back again, trust me. Just this visit convinced me to come back here for more rounds.

Honestly 5/5! It's been a minute since I've been to a Mediterranean restaurant where EVERYTHING on the menu was delicious. I had the gyro and my partner had the falafel sandwich. They both were freshly made to order and to die for. However, my favorite part of the meal was the Somun Bread & Kajmak. I had never had this before and let's just say I can't live without it now. This fast casual spot is great for a delectable lunch or even date night. The service was good and the owner was super helpful in helping us decide what to get. I'm running back!

Drove 40 minutes to finally check out J's Pitaria, and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered their Pide to eat there and the Falafel to-go. Since I live far away, I might as well get two things. I realized the Falafel may taste different if it gets cold, so I ate half of the Pide and a quarter of the Falafel Wrap while I was there, and I was so sad. Sad, that they are so far from me! The garlic outer bread of the pide was so soft, chewy, and garlicky, and the inside was so flavorful! The Falafel is usually very dry, but theirs wasn't too dry, and they put a lot of veggies and sauce that were a perfect combination. Definitely need to go back again! Located on the side of Athletico, next to Froyo! Plenty parking spaces in front of the plaza if you can't find a spot by the restaurant. Space is open seating, and they bring out the food to you after you order at the counter.

I had heard good things about this place since they opened and was eager to try them. I met a friend for lunch and ended up being the second in line right when the clock struck 11. It didn't take long before 10 people were there within minutes of the doors being opened, so once I noticed that, I knew the food would be good. The restaurant is a bit small, with more seating on the back wall (tables and benches) and a few tables in the center. They also have a few tables outside, which I'm sure get put to use. Menu wise, they have a lot to offer and I love how they have pictures of the food! That's always a huge plus in my book, especially when you're unfamiliar. The people in front of us seemed to be regulars, as they ordered quickly and sat down. In a panic, I ordered the hummus and my friend ordered the Berliner. We took a number and sat in the back. Within minutes, our food arrived. My friend commented that he loves this place due to how good and fresh their food is. Once I tasted the hummus, I couldn't agree more. The pita bread was delicious, and the blend of spices in the hummus went together perfectly. While I didn't sample my friend's sandwich, it looked succulent and rich. We couldn't stay long but I was certainly happy to have finally checked out this place. Next time I'm in the area, I'll def. be back.

I ordered the mixed grill and for a free appetizer they brought me a pita and trio of three pastes that I loved and was very tasty. The mixed grill was all the usual combination of skewed meats including beef kofta, lamb kabob skewer and chicken shish tarwook and wow! it was killer, and loved the side of deliciously spiced rice, grilled onion and tomato. I've lived and worked in the Middle East for years so I often miss the fine food I ate there so this was as close to the Middle East/Lebanese cuisine I've had in the St. Louis area. My server was friendly with great service and it didn't take long for my lunch but I wasn't in a hurry anyway. The decor is nice and I only wished they had freshly made ice tea instead of Lipton out of a bottle but happily they gave me fresh slices of lemon and a glass with ice for my tea.

We ordered falafel to start and I got the lamb kebab and my date ordered the chicken shawarma plate. Falafel was THE BEST I've had yet, and I wish it was endless. The yogurt sauce they are served with compliments them perfectly. My lamb kebab was cooked just like I like and I really enjoyed this meal. The chicken shawarma was also really good and both plates had ample portions. This was a great date place, We will be back!

The dipping sauce that came with the pide was peppery and smoky, perfect for balancing out the saltiness of the meat.
