I absolutely cannot stand this location. This is the only store (including multiple other firehouse locations) that's holds delivery orders hostage. They will sit there and argue with you as a delivery driver. And not simply give you your customers order. They are very disrespectful and rude. They force delivery drivers to wait in line for a completed order. That sits and gets cold. I will never ever return to this location. read more

Honestly I had to give Firehouse 4 vs 3 stars because the subs here are just soooo good but the service is soooo slow. You really have to be able to allocate at least 20-30 mins for your food to be ready (no matter how busy they are). However, they are all super nice and are patient with different add-ons and substitutes. Firehouse now has some daily deals (between $0.50-$1 off select subs) which is cool. I got the Italian and substituted with their peppercorn ranch (12/10 would recommend) and we also got the meatball sub which tasted super fresh. Their bread is delicious and all of their ingredients are fresh and great portions! read more

I ordered the Thanksgiving sub that comes with dressing on 11-22-25 the order was taken and paid then an associate advised the cashier that the sub was discontinued for the season. First time in one of their stores I was disappointed and not Thanksgiving yet and informed will complain about early decision to shut down and will never be a customer again I the future. The food is great as long as you can get into the building or order delivery. They have signs out front that say curbside delivery and give you a phone number to call. Don't expect a great response from that. They told me they don't offer curbside delivery (even after i told them I am handicapped). When went in (using my walker) I suggested they remove the sign if they don't offer it. They laughed and said "yeah, we'll get right on that." It was 2 in the afternoon and there were 3 guys just standing around. read more

If only I hadn't become sensitive to gluten! My husband & I stopped in for lunch - he had a sandwich & I tried a salad. Firehouse Subs is definitely good at sandwiches...my husband liked his turkey cranberry sub. I was not quite as impressed with my "chopped" salad. While all of the salad toppings were chopped, the lettuce was not. Of course it was during this visit that I realized how much I like having spinach and dark lettuces in my salad! The staff and restaurant are an important part of the equation - and they did great here! The staff was very friendly and professional and the restaurant was clean...we even got to witness a new employee being trained in the virtues of customer service and cleanliness! Bravo Firehouse! So much for rapid mobile order. Ordered online and my order was to be ready by 12:28. Nope I had to wait ten minutes and usually you're greeted welcome to firehouse. I really like Firehouse Subs and have been to many other locations. The Tesson Ferry location is very disappointing and after reading other reviews I am not the only one with these feelings. To say they worked at a snails pace would be giving them to much credit. I ordered a NY Steamer sandwich, the two small pieces of meat did not even cover the bread. Did they forget to put all the meat on my sandwich because they were so busy talking or getting themself a soda while 7 customers waited. There were 5 employees so the excuse of short staffed due to Covid does not apply in this case. Good Luck to the owner because I would hate to see another small business go by the wayside. read more

I have not been successful in ordering from their website. When trying to log in, it wants to send me an email to confirm - and the email never arrives. Does not hit my spam, just never gets sent. So next, I try to call the store. The Number listed on their website just rings and rings. This has happened to me before with the website, and I understand that happens sometimes. But now, the phone is not working. Eventually, it gets picked up and a computer asks me to enter a code. So you can't order online, and you can't call in an order. I thought it only fair for me to visit the store and wait. I arrived at noon (I realize this is probably their busiest time) There were about 20 patrons in the restaurant - only two tables had their food. I stood at the counter and waited patiently to place my order, and I was ignored for 10 minutes. Not a hello, I'll be right with you, etc. There were three people working behind the counter, and I saw another one in and out from the back. I honestly love their sandwiches, which is the only reason that I tried so hard to place my order. I don't know if the workers are totally understaffed and overwhelmed, or if they just don't know what they are doing. I have no idea how this store stays in business but I hope they figure it out. read more

Don't worry about the customers, they're a minor inconvenience as you can watch two movies at the same time, on the two dining room televisions! Take all the time you need talk about actors and actresses, their movie performances, box office earning and more while you're slapping together three smokehouse cheddars for a family that has nothing better to do than wait on you for 21 minutes during their 40 minute break in-between baseball games to eat lunch. Customers enjoying the Pickle Ball Championships on tv during their excruciatingly long wait for a Hook & Ladder Sub and a side of Mac-n-Cheese are of no concern... just change the channels to not one, but TWO different TNT channels and watch two different Marvel movies for the 14th and 18th time! Who doesn't love a good sub? When we moved, we moved further away from the original FHS we would go to but we were happy to see that shortly after, they built one in the strip mall not too far from our new place. They are always welcoming when you walk in, you are greeted no matter how crowded they are. On busy days you will have to wait a bit for your food but it still arrives in the state of matter it should be. You order at the front and can modify whatever you need. One of the best parts of FHS is their coke machine - the one where you can pick so many different options its insane! This is one of my husbands favorite parts of our visits. read more

This Firehouse subs location really impressed me. They are known for upholding respect for first responders. As I ordered I was given the opportunity to round up to donate to first responders and the woman taking my order asked for my name and used my name again when delivering my order to the table, this made me feel welcome. As each order was ready the sandwich makers would tell "dispatch" which I thought was such a cute touch for their restaurant. When I walked in I noticed there were Marines eating here today... and as I started typing this to yelp (already impressed) the man behind the counter came around to shake their hands and thank them for their service... unfortunately, I am not in the area frequently... but I will be back. read more

I came in today to get subs for me and two other of my colleagues and put everything on one order. When it came to us paying, I payed with $20 cash and wanted to split the rest 50/50 on two cards. The cashier said she wasn't sure how to do that but she wanted to "try" to learn how by herself. She ended up putting the entire rest of the bill on my credit card and nothing on my colleague's credit card. I know this may be not a common issue but as a worker if you don't know how to do something, please ask others. Also I've never gone in this location and felt like the employees enjoy their jobs. So disappointed after today Ordered just a turkey sandwich cold cheese, mayo that's about it. Came home loaded with lettuce, tomato which would been fine i could scrape it off. I took a bite and loaded with onions which i have allergic reactions to. I get that kids work there but getting orders correct are really important especially when something can cause a reaction. These subs are really tasty! I've had two of the hot ones and they are so filling and satisfying! When I first looked into this place and looked at their menu online, I admit the subs didn't look very tasty, just kind of simple. But I think the simplicity is what makes them so good!! The meat is sliced very thin which I find very delicious on a sub sandwich. You can also tell that the quality of the ingredients is good, much much better than the sub chains around here. They generously provided me with a free birthday sub. I ordered steak and cheese but discovered they had given me turkey and mushrooms and since I was home and 7 miles away I removed mushrooms and ate it. It was ok. I called and a manager said come back we'll give you a 2nd free sandwich. So yesterday I went back. The place was empty so no big crowd thus time. They make my sandwich which I confirm once in the car is steak and cheese with peppers and onion (mostly onion). I am hungry so I am eating as I drive home. The peppers were hot but crunchy as though completely uncooked - odd. The onion seemed more cooked but they had used that first layer of onion which is tough and not edible. So I kept pulling strings of onion out and throwing them. While the staff is nice and the place was very clean and they even gave me a free beverage for my inconvenience....when 2for 2 you can't get it right that's a problem.
