I'm sorry to say Culver's but y'all missed the mark this time ( after bragging on y'all so much). Had a rough day at work where I didn't get a chance to eat lunch (life of a RN). On my home (10PM), I decided that I wanted some comfort food instead of the food I prepared to eat. For me, it would have been a treat for this kinda day. The Good: Order taker was great with suggestions. Greeted and thanked me. The Runner: Caucasian, heavier set lady. Not sure if she is new, but this this is my first time seeing her there( I guess I'm somewhat a regular now) lol. That's bad...but anyways, I digressed. She was not pleasantly looking. Could be she's tired or hurting or don't wanna be there. She asked me "what's the number" (The cashier had already placed it on the rear view mirror where they always do. She took the number off and placed it on the outer portion of the mirror with an attitude stated, "I can't see." She then continue to walk to the other car infront repositioning their number to a different spot. (I get it that you probably can't see, but don't allow the customer to feel as though they are at fault. We cannot control your vision nor the lighting of the surroundings. Returning of my food: I stated the number for her to be of help. As she proceeded to hand me the bag, I asked her if there was a staw inside. She didn't even take the chance to look herself but rather stated, "I dont know you can check." Anyhow, I thank her. I didn't get the usual, "my pleasure," that I'm accustomed to, however, she did stated "you are welcome while walking away with her backed turned. Food taste & temp- One of the worst burger I've ever had. Honestly it was disgusting. I am very disappointed that I paid almost $12 dollars for a stale burger & a shake. It was not "made fresh" per there trademark. Wished I didn't stopped this time. It's usually scorching hot where you have to wait to bite into it. Shake: First time ordering a shake. I got the strawberry. It was rich and contained real strawberries chunks? (I think). I finished it on the ride. Hopefully this was an off night for them given the time and it wasn't as many team members working as per usual. Service is consistent for the most part. A couple of times I've had issues, but they were quickly resolved. The employees are well mannered and motivated. I had a craving and decided to try here since it's in my eye lenses. Drive thru vibes. Ordering process was easy and quick. Ava was the cashier. I ordered buffalo chicken strip meal with a banana strawberry lemonade frozen . Pricey for sure at $17 bucks but it was good, and fresh. Lemonade was blended to perfection . The service was par at best. More people standing around than actually working. Observed one worker being rude with a customer because her order was wrong and ignored her when she wanted it corrected. The ambiance is far from other culver locations with the inside not cleaned and to many people just gossiping about nothing. I have heard that Culver's has great food so I decided I would give it a try. I was told the Cod was delicious, so I ordered the cod dinner. The food was made to order, which was great. Now, let me tell you, the cod had no taste, whatsoever! The tartar sauce was tasteless, also. It was thick and smooth, yet tasteless. I literally had to doctor the tartar up. This experience was horrible and unfortunately, I will not patronize this restaurant in the future. I believe they pulled the cod from the sea, rinsed it (did not season) & dunked it in unseasoned batter and fried. The service was great. I cannot speak on the ambiance because I ordered @ the drive thru. Note: I threw the dinner away after one bite. My tastebuds are still upset. Culver's in Florissant is outstanding. They're under new ownership and she was on the pick-up line taking orders. Very charming & kind person. The food was very tasty made to order. We visited for the first time on a Sunday evening, during our vacation to St. Louis, and heard that Culver's had some really good dessert, so decided to make it a full meal here! As with all Culver's locations, the menu was a bit intimidating with all of the options. Desserts on the left, solid foods on the right. It's pretty much the same at all their locations. The desserts consist of coolers, shakes, lemon ice and concrete mixers with the mixers being the highlight. The mixers are basically fresh frozen custards of vanilla or chocolate that are either mixed or topped with different fruits, candies and other assorted toppings. The solid foods section is made up of chicken tenders, fish, chicken sandwiches, fresh fish dinner plates and salad combos. The most popular solid food is definitely the ButterBurger though, with 8 different combos to choose from. My girlfriend and I both went with ButterBurger combos. She ordered the Mushroom and Swiss and I ordered the ButterBurger Cheese. Both combos came with a side of crinkle-cut fries and a regular soft drink. Being our first time ever trying the ButterBurger, we had no expectations, but they really surprised me. The burgers were really juicy and fresh. My burger was a bit flat, but still had good flavor to it. The fries were also good, and I dare to compare, but in my opinion, were on the level of Shake Shack's famous crinkle-cut fries! For dessert, we went with 2 small concrete mixers, which was more than enough after devouring combos. I won't comment too much on the flavors since we customized ours, but the texture of them reminded me of McD McFlurrys. There wasn't too much about the concrete mixer that impressed us, it was just OK. As for this location, there was plenty of parking in the lot and it was pretty clean. They always put no toppings on my burger when ordering gluten free, no bacon on a bacon cheeseburger? No LTO? I order it without condiments online, but they only do it to my gluten free burgers of my order. They need to put hot toppings like hot fudge on the side for curbside pickup and ordering online should have an option to put fudge/ caramel on the side. read more

Salads, soups, sides, and sundaes oh my!! My co-workers and I always look for something tasty to savor and burgers with butter have tons of flavor. We beat our way up the street. Wow this place was packed - every parking spot full and the drive-thru line around the building. Since we knew we had so many orders, we thought we'd do ourselves and the other patrons a favor and just go inside to place our orders. I purchased the buffalo chicken strips snack pack, which is a two-strips, a small drink and a small order of crinkle cut french fries. I opted for a premium upgrade and had my crinkle cut fries changed to the Wisconsin Cheese Curds; these are an exclusive cheese blend made for Culver's and they are very delicious. When they say everything is made fresh to order they certainly mean it. The strips were definitely seasoned well with a flavorsome blend of chili peppers, paprika and black pepper spices, the chicken was so juicy and tender. I don't eat beef so I can definitely speak to chicken strips at fast food joints and these are far above the rest. I also love that they aren't so huge that you feel like you're eating a human thigh or gnawing on the back of a water buffalo. I tried two different sauces, ranch and barbecue sauce. Even though I only ordered the snack pack, both of the sauces were very generously sized and there was no up charge for an extra sauce (like some other places). The cheese curds are pretty tasty yet I wish they would've come with some type of dipping sauce but they were still very flavorful and you could tell that the batter contain seasonings. They have a daily fresh frozen custard special called the flavor of the day, it also varies location to location. On the day I went to this location, the flavor was Bonfire S'mores. I don't fancy huge chips and since I knew I'd be at work late, I opted for something classic, a mini turtle concrete (shout out to Kitty W - I am all about those sweet treat!). Might I mention that there are over 83 freak'in flavors of concretes on their menu! It was so fresh and good - it was as if a sweet little old lady was in the back churning the frozen yogurt and preparing the caramel on site. For them to have been so busy they were so very fast and courteous and mindful. We didn't have to ask for extra dipping sauces and nothing was missing from our order. Culver's is like an upscale Dairy Queen (if there can be such a thing) but it is exceedingly enjoyable. This is the first location in North County and people are flocking to it in droves; those that live in the area and those of us who work in the area. Their slogan is "Welcome to Delicious". Food: 4 Stars Service: 5 Stars "Hello and welcome to Culver's!" I hear this EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I step foot into the restaurant. The staff are always smiling ear to ear and so freaking happy! (I want what they're having!) Food is made to order so while you might be waiting a little longer than your typical fast food restaurant, the food will be hot, fresh, and delicious. My favorite? Their Butter Burgers. Buttery bread with juicy meat, crispy lettuce, fresh tomato, and a light dressing of mayo. Paired with their french fries or cheese curds, you just can't go wrong. I just opened my two Double Deluxe Cheeseburgers & both buns are smashed? I mean really smashed! The entire 2 sandwiches were flat. These burger were not in the usual boxes. They were wrapped in single cheeseburger waxed paper. Fyi, I did call the Florissant location & complained. The manager was very apologetic & professional on the phone. Had that burger craving and there's nothing like Culvers for a fast casual burger. I ordered the Double Burger basket w/cheese. Comes with lettuce, pickle, onion, tomato and mayo. Everything tasted so fresh; all the veggies were crisp, not soggy. The flavor and seasoning of the burger was on point, fries nice and hot. Even the tea (1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweet) was great. Well the good news is the food is good. I had been waiting for this Culvers to open and this was my first time at the new location. I pulled up to lot at 9:47pm to find a worker telling me that the drive thru was closed. My first inside reaction was what??but there's already a line of cars here, and its not even 10 yet. Well i didnt have to say it because the car behind me did and proceeded to argue with the worker that it didnt make sense. MY reaction was OK and instead of driving off due to intense hunger I decided to go in. Once inside it was crowded but they had several lines open so I didn't have to wait but a minute. I ordered what I considered the cheaper option the snack pack combo with a small fry small soda and burger for $4.89 with tax. I wanted something more grand but you better catch me on a I just won $10 on a scratch off day before I pay $8+ for a combo meal. All in all I waited about 18 minutes for my food and I kind of felt sorry for the workers aimlessly walking around to find the customer with the number they were given to match their order. I tried the sweet tea and that was pretty gross, rather unsweet. The workers and patrons were nice, either greeting or saying excuse me which I was pleasantly surprised with. Moral of the story. "It was the 3rd of June, another steamy, dusty delta day." No, actually it was the 19th of May, another beautiful St. Louis Spring day. I love Culver's. I joined their email club and I get wonderful buy one get one free value basket and sandwich coupons. So what's a nice boy like me doing in a complaint like this? I am retired. My wife, who is 10 years younger than me still works in Florissant, not far from Culver's. Every Thursday I pick her up and take her to lunch. We go to Culver's more than any other restaurant in the area because it's close to her job, and we get those discount coupons. Also, they have enough variety in their menu so alternating with other area restaurants we don't get sick of their food. However, we may get sick from their food. Today we used a buy one get one free chicken sandwich coupon (with complimentary food poisoning, no extra charge). Say what? We both ordered the fried crispy chicken sandwiches with fries and their delicious diet root beer. No complaints about anything up to the 3rd bite of my sandwich. It tasted off. I hadn't had much breakfast and was starved so I continued eating it but made a point of telling my wife, "I like their Northern Cod fish sandwich much better than this chicken." I took one more bite and then realized not only did it taste off but the consistency was off as well. I looked at the remaining meat and it was RAW! (Where's Gordon Ramsey when you need him?) Yep, my chicken was partially uncooked. YIKE! (cue the scary organ music). I grabbed my throat, keeling over, bent in half from the pain as I rolled out of the booth and on to the floor - in my mind. I did lose my appetite. I had already consumed 2/3rd's of the sandwich so there was no point in taking it back to the counter. However, so it doesn't happen to someone else I got on the Culver's corporate web site and left comments documenting my bad experience. I will probably never order another chicken sandwich at Culver's. I will probably closely examine any chicken sandwiches from other fast food restaurants. So, that's "strike one" Culver's. I have been to Culver's once prior up in Michigan. I must say that the quality of the custard is quite similar and the choices they offer to give your treat some pizzaz is rather bountiful! The service is noticeably friendly and genuine and an added bonus to their already awesome food selections. I also really enjoyed their fish and burgers as they have expected flavors that are missing from many other fast food joints. This month they have pumpkin flavored choices and the pecan pumpkin spice really carries the load of flavor into the senses! I was in this Culver's a few days ago with my daughter. We went through the drive thru and ordered 2 Butter-burger baskets. Upon receiving our food I noticed it was incorrect. I went inside to get it fixed. The young man at the register called over manager, Kaitlyn to help. I told her the problem with my order. She took the bag from my hands openeand asked for my receipt. I gave it to her and she walked away. No apology. I then asked her how long it would take so I knew if I should go turn off my car to not waste gas. She said, "Well we are pretty busy right now so it's gonna be a bit." She walked away again. Once I received my order after 20mins she handed me the bag and said, "Have a nice day." in a very sarcastic tone. I am not one to complain, I understand orders can be messed up but the rudeness is unacceptable.
