So I don't really like to review chains... but this St. Louis Bread co just really disappoints me. They consistently forget items when I go through the drive thru, and last time I was there I had a $1 off my pastry and they said they would take it off once I got to the window. When I got to the window, the girls working were not very friendly, and they forgot to take my $1 off. Okay, so it's just a dollar, no problem... But when I asked the girl working once I got my receipt back why she didn't take the dollar off she said, "oh..., well it doesn't expire until January anyways." You're right, it's only a dollar and I can still use it at a later date, but maybe act like you care a little more, or you want to fix it? It was just very rude and off putting. I can my tell you how amazingly sweet this location is. I'm in town for an unfortunate event and didn't expect to eat anywhere for Thanksgiving. While driving to the airport to pick up the rest of my family, one of my friends invited me over to have dinner with them. Of course I'm not the kind that's not bringing anything. I stopped in Eureka and the choices were Walmart or Panera desserts. Wasn't a hard choice. I bought holiday bread, all the chocolate mint cupcakes, red velvet cupcakes, red velvet cookies, dinner rolls and of course 2 cinnamon crunch bagels bread sliced for me later and a bacon, egg, and cheese on ciabatta. I have never gone through the Eureka, MO Panera Drive-Thru and gotten an order that was correct. Today, I ordered a you pick 2 - Frontega Chicken and a bowl of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup and an Asian Sesame Chicken Salad. When I got home, the Frontega Chicken Sandwich was a very small Grilled Cheese. The salad was about a cup of lettuce with 2 wonton pieces and a few almonds & 3 pieces of sliced chicken. There is absolutely NO QUALITY CONTROL at this restaurant. I live about 15 minutes away from another Panera in Chesterfield and I will go there from now on. It doesn't fail that EVERY time I come into this restaurant to either order food to dine in or take out, the service is always sub-par where you are treated poorly and unappreciated AND my order is always wrong- no joke; wrong every time I go in there. It isn't luck- literally they get my order wrong a lot. This order (take-out) has my sandwich smashed in a box against the side and forgot my drink and utensils in the bag. When I went back in about it, the manager rolled her eyes at me and said "sorry." And handed me a cup for my drink. I have been to the Eureka's Bread Company many times. Especially this one in Eureka continues to run out of their specials and also there every day items. On three separate occasions I've been told they are currently out. Out of all the The Panera's around the area this is by far one of the worst! Honestly the worst bread co I've ever been to (and this has been every time I go). Tonight I received a tench onion soup with nothing on it. Typically the service time is slow, the food is minuscule with soups only being filled about half way up, and typically with minimal toppings on sandwiches. Very disappointing. read more

My wife was stranded by the snow storm on 1/11/2019. She stopped at this location to get a warm drink and to figure out what to do. The manager, Jeanann, was on duty and about to close the store because Corporate told her to. She made the very caring decision to keep the store open to help all the people that were stranded due to I44 being closed. Some of the people that Jeanann allowed to stay at the store had been stuck on the highway for 10 hours. Jeanann was so nice and helpful and caring. I just want to say how thankful I am that she and two other employees close to stay and keep my wife and so many other people safe. I REALLY want to like this place. The food is yummy, but overpriced. The main problem I have is several times I have ordered a sandwich and there's barely anything on it. Food is typical of any other location in the area. So, for one, they took away my favorite salad (the BBQ chicken salad) and replaced it with the Southwest Lime Chile Ranch Salad w/ Chicken. So, I decided to try it -- it was okay -- nothing too special. Usually they never give you enough dressing in the to-go portions, so I always ask for one or two extra dressings just in case. We've eaten here several times using the drive-thru, but this was our first visit inside. The restaurant was nice, and mostly clean. We were there late in the "lunch rush" (just before 1pm), so many of the tables had not been wiped down, but we found a nice table. The restroom was mostly clean, but (again, hopefully due to the time of day) there were some messy stalls & if I didn't have Kleenex in my purse I wouldn't have had TP. However, when I told the guy behind the counter, he said he'd get someone on it, so I'm not holding this against the place. My sweetie ordered the Power Kale Caesar Salad with Chicken. It looked good, and he really seemed to like it. I don't like raw kale, so I declined a bite, but did try one of the handmade parmesan crisps which he liked a lot, and they had a very strong cheese flavor, but I thought they were too salty. I ordered a You Pick 2 combo with a half Chicken Cobb with Avocado Salad and half Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich. The salad was good, but not great. I was a little surprised and disappointed that the dressing was a Herb Vinaigrette rather than bleu cheese or even ranch like I'd expect on a cobb salad. I also would have prefered chopped egg instead of just one half of egg. The sandwich was very good, but there was an interesting taste to the chicken salad, not like "normal" chicken salad. However it was really good, and fresh tasting. The bread, despite being delicious, was too thin & crumbly and made the sandwich too messy to eat and I ate half of it off my plate with a fork. It would have been better on a croissant. I like that you have options for sides (bread, kettle chips, an apple) to complete your meal. I packed my apple in my purse for later. I had lemonade with my meal and it was a little sweet, but very yummy & I would definitely get it again. My sweetie tried the Blueberry Pomegranate Smoothie with Coconut Milk, and it was good, but the chia seeds gave it an odd flavor in my opinion. Overall, this Panera is very good, and I while I've liked other items I've had at Panera chains before better, I would definitely order everything I had again, as would my sweetie. Great for a fresh, quick meal. We didn't get any bakery items with this visit, but have in the past and are definitely worth getting. I especially love their bagels (Blueberry, Cinnamon Crunch, & Asiago Cheese are my favs) and cream cheese (Wild Blueberry, Honey Walnut, and Plain are yummy). Their soups are also very good, we often get each other their Chicken Noodle when one of us are ill. It is almost as good as homemade and much better than canned. Also their Broccoli Cheddar in a Sourdough Bread Bowl is one of my favorite cool weather meals. I've tried the Mac & Cheese and it was ok, but not good enough for the price, and I actually prefer the boxed kind more. This is perhaps the most horrible restaurant in the world. I have been there on multiple occasions and each time was an awful mistake. This time I was served raw chicken that I didn't even order. My dish was remade, but we were treated poorly. In the past we have been instructed to microwave our food ourselves after complaining that it was cold. The ordering system is archaic and miserable. The staff are unfriendly, incompetent, slow, and mean. The price is ridiculous when you consider you have to stand up and wait for your food to be made and then have to clear your own dishes after the meal. I have lived in Eureka now for 5 years and our family frequents this Bread Co. often (1-2 times per week). The food always tastes fine but they NEVER EVER get the order right. I mean literally not once! I normally wouldn't review a Bread Co. but this is getting ridiculous! Today after they FORGOT to put in my order and I got all the way home (yes my fault for not checking as I know they never get it right) I went all the way back to get it and they didn't believe me! They have to know by now that they are terrible with getting things right. I have to agree with the other yelpers who complain about the drive thru being extremely slow and usually inaccurate, but otherwise I really like this location for a casual meal. We come here a lot....and by a lot I mean they know us by our name when we use the panera card, but that's alright because they know exactly how we like to order our food. When we first started to come here we were pretty disappointed because something from our order would always be wrong, but after speaking to their very nice Manager after another trip home minus part of our order, they have gotten much better. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. When we walked here on a snow day, they were nice enough to give us free coffees to go since they just closed. How nice! We returned the favor by removing the snow from their cars which I'm sure helped their rough morning drive in. All around this is a nice location that is always busy. I love St. Louis Bread Co. and go there quite often however this was the first time that I've ever been to the Eureka location and my experience was horrible. I ordered a Café Mocha coffee and a muffin and my total was $6.55...I pulled up to the drive through window after placing my order and the guy working was very unfriendly. I handed him $7 in cash and he gave me a funny look and said "you gave me too much..." and then I responded "do you not have change?" Then he kind of laughed to himself and realized his mistake. He then handed me my coffee and muffin without saying a word...not even a "thank you, have a good day, etc." The Café Mocha coffee that I order was disgusting...the menu stated that it was "brewed expresso, steamed milk, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle..." Well they forgot the whipped cream and chocolate and the coffee was one of the worst I've ever tasted from Bread Co. Not to mention that the muffin I ordered was stale and dried out. With unfriendly employees, horrible tasting coffee, and stale products I will not be back to the Eureka location. read more
