Very slow! Coffee tasted weird and took over 20 minutes to receive a breakfast sandwich..

I have been here plenty of times, nice and clean restaurant. Staff friendly and food good! I was in there this past week and I ordered a Greek Salad. My friend commented that it looked like they got bigger bowls because the salad seemed smaller, but they were the same size bowls. Possibly less salad in them, but overall, my salad was fine. Last minute tonight I have to pick up some food for the family and went back. There was a long line at checkout, but I wasn't surprised being it was dinner time on a weeknight and I know it's harder to find a lot of workers in the evening. When I pulled up to the window, I probably waited a good 10 minutes or so, but again I wasn't too bothered because I knew what I was getting into. However, when I got home and opened my sandwich, I was absolutely shocked. I order this sandwich (Garden Cap) often, usually when I am visiting the Lake Saint Louis area. It has been very good. This is what I got tonight.... Barely any cheese, smushed tomatoes, I couldn't even eat it. I love Panera and I will probably end up there again since it is close to my home but it's the food continues to be a less quality. I will go to one of the other locations. read more

I was looking for something quick and healthy to eat, and landed here. It was a Monday afternoon and the place was practically empty. The cashier was semi-friendly, and made me feel hurried to order something. I ordered the Greek Salad, Mediterranean veggie sandwich, and a bag of chips. I was given a pager and told to pick up my order from the window when it buzzed. I went to find a seat, and most of the tables were dirty with food, napkins, leftover plates, or crumbs. I was surprised because there were only a couple of people in there besides me. When my food was ready, I went to the window to pick up my food. The man behind the window was very friendly and thanked me, but when I went back to ask for a fork, the woman behind the window seemed irritated that I bothered her for a fork. As for my food, my sandwich was tasty, but my salad had way too much Greek dressing on it. It was overpowering. I also didn't get the bag of chips I ordered; I received a baguette. I didn't want to deal with the attitude from the woman in the window again, so I just ate the baguette. If I lived in the area, I might've given this location a second try, Oh well! read more

Takes wayyyy too long. Every time! 20 minute wait for a salad?? If you value your time, this location isn't the best choice

Kudos and big SHOUT OUT to Panera in Chesterfield Valley for their customer "care"!! We were at fault for missing our pick-up on a takeout order; after calling them a day later, the Manager without hesitancy replaced our order (at no charge)! How's that for personal service and building loyalty with their customers, wow! We enjoy Panera's experience, and go regularly whenever we want a fresh, simple and lighter meal. Great bagels, breads, pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches! I always order the "Pick 2" Combo. My favorites soups are their Broccoli Cheddar, Creamy Tomato, and when in season, Wild Chicken & Rice and Turkey Chili. Salads are excellent depending your craving, and plenty of sandwiches to choose. Average meal ~$5-10pp I haven't tried their newest Flatbread Pizza items yet, but will on my next visit. The food at this Panera location, like many others, is good. The past two times we've ordered tomato soup there seems to have been a decrease in the amount of soup in the serving and it was lukewarm at best - not as hot as it should be. The last time my wife and I visited near lunch time, the place was less than clean . . . the table was not wiped clean and food was scattered on the floor. The person that took our order seemed a bit short with responses to questions and/or overtaxed. We like this restaurant and other Panera locations, but these don't seem to be difficult issues to control. Sorry to leave this "3" rating, but that's our latest impression. Never returning to Bread Co. Have all the Bread CO's just stopped caring about cleanliness and customer service??? Ordered a cookie, it was stale and when I tried to exchange it the clerk told me I couldn't! She asked if I wanted to talk to the manager and I said sure, she came back and told me I could exchange the cookie but had the biggest attitude like I was trying to take advantage. I never complain... however: This is an unaltered photo of the silverware that was just given to me with my soup and salad. We also had to find the cleanest dirty table to sit at. (I had to take paper towels from the bathroom, soak them with hand sanitizer and clean my own table.) All the garbage cans are overflowing, with piles of dirty dishes stacked on top. Yes, In the middle of a national pandemic, I have never seen a such disregard for public health. Seriously, Imagine being served these dirty utensils in a COVID 19 world!!! I visit this location quite frequently and the bread is always scrumptious. The cheese is very cheesy. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, but this time it was very fast. This could be explained by there only being two people in the restaurant or it could be contributed to a hardworking staff. The ambiance was pretty good, but the inside of the establishment was quite chilly. I was forced to sit outside and the person next to me spilt their drink all over the concrete. Lunch was definitely inconsistent with how the same meal is at Panera back in Arizona. With a strawberry chicken poppyseed salad, there was so much lettuce and felt like it was missing fruit and nuts. Should have checked the reviews before ordering! Placed an order online for rapid pick up and here's what happened next 1. Arrived on time and clicked the "I'm here" button on my confirmation email. No one shows up for 10 min. By this time I could have gone through the drive through and gotten my order. 2. Called and no answer after multiple rings (there were at least 3 people working inside) 3. Decided to go through the drive thru and pick up my order that way 4. The salad I had customized wasn't customized at all. Tortilla strips were added when I had said to take them off (trying to be low carb). Cherry tomatoes I wanted were MIA. I had asked for extra dressing and the little cups were less than halfway full. Very deceptive. 5. Ever since St Louis Bread started a few decades ago, I have been a huge fan of their fresh baked breads , sandwiches and soups. Whole the coffee may not be the same as a specialty coffee shops, ots better than most chains. My favorite order here changes over time, but right now the Cuban sandwich, Green Goddess salad are my go to items. My long term favorite soup is the cream of chicken and wild rice. Yum! read more

I love Panera/StL Bread co. Their food is consistent throughout the country. Always fresh and well prepared. What is not consistent is the customer service. This location on Chesterfield Airport Road is consistently awful in its customer service. The employees will regularly ignore waiting guests as they fuss with unimportant tasks behind the counter. I've come here at least two dozen times over the past year and the service is never good. Ever. I would give one star but the food and coffee is always good. This morning myself and two other guests waited at the counter to place orders while two employees walked back and forth ignoring us. One employee was chatting with a guest who already had their order; another employee actually brought out a ladder and stood right in front of all of us without a word as they changed the signs from breakfast to lunch. Then he climbed back down, took the ladder and vanished. Once the other employee was done with their chat, she decided to come and help us. Yesterday I was here due to sheer convenience of location and I ordered a hazelnut coffee. At 9:15am the container was empty. I had to go to the food prep people to tell them because again there was no one at the front. After a couple minutes an employee appeared. He said there was another pot ready to go - he would bring it out. After another long wait he reappeared and... walked right by me - no coffee pot, no word. He went and started cleaning off a table. When I asked him about the coffee he said, "Be patient. It's brewing." Me be patient. Uh, huh. I waited another two minutes then chose another flavor. As I sat at my table drinking my new coffee I watched - and it was 22 minutes before an employee brought out the fresh pot of the coffee I originally wanted. I know enough about the service industry to know it doesn't take 22 minutes to brew a pot of coffee. Unfortunately, all this is typical of the service at this location. I will never enter these doors again. If I want Panera I'll drive the extra 7 minutes to the one where service is excellent. And if I have to be in the area of this Panera/StLBco I will go to Kaldi's. read more

Got carry out from here for the first time. I got. Steak & arugula sandwich, the cheese spread was all clumped in one spot, way too much arugula. The tomato bisque did not taste like it normally does. I will never go here again read more

This Panera is the worst of any in I've ever been. Every order is at least 15 min behind and a waste of time.

Food is always good, but online ordering times need to be adjusted for manpower shortages. Whenever I use it, the app notifies me that my order will be done 10 mins. But never is. At that 10 min timeframe I then get notified that they are running late. Just be realistic about your timing so I don't have to sit waiting for my order!! If you told me 20 mins I would race down here, instead I would take my time getting to restaurant. read more

This location is super busy. The way their drive-thru is situated with the cars wrapped completely around the building at lunch time makes it difficult to park if you are going in. It takes a long time for the food to be ready. There is an expediter viewing all the orders before they tell you they're ready. Super mediocre. read more

Had breakfast inside restaurant as I waited for my car to be serviced next door. As I was eating, noticed a mouse dart across the floor and ran under the drink area. Noticed lots of garbage under that area. About 10 minutes later, a worker removed all the garbage. Guess I wasn't the only one who saw the mouse. Our Baker's Grains or Country White Bread is layered with cheddar, gruyere and fontina cheeses and topped with crispy bacon to make this sandwich extra special." SOUNDS GOOD, right?! YUCK. Food was good and came out hot. We dined inside the restaurant, and the problem with this Chesterfield Valley (THF Blvd) St. Louis Bread Co (Panera) was that the dining room was filthy. We picked up our food and drinks and entered the dining room to find a table. ALL the available tables were dirty and had food, crumbs, spill from drinks etc on the tables and seats. Many booth seats were torn and tattered. The carpet and tiled floors had food everywhere under foot. The manager happened to walk past nearby while I was cleaning a table with a napkin, hand sanitizer and water, and I asked him if he was the manager. He said he was, and I replied, "Your restaurant dining room is filthy. There is food and crumbs on the floors and tables everywhere. You should be ashamed of this place." He responded, "I apologize. I'll have it cleaned up." About 15 minutes later, a young employee walked through with a spray bottle and one paper towel, and she wiped off the tops of most tables. The floors remained filthy, and the half eaten strip of bacon on the dirty carpet next to our table remained there, as she literally stepped over it. The dining room was sickening. We had been coming to this location for more than 20 years, but had not been here since moving from the area a few years ago, and returning this week. It has obviously collapsed in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. At any time, but particularly in the midst of a pandemic, the filthy dining room was stomach-churning. This location has never impressed me. I've been before and they didn't put any napkins or silverware in my bag. I've been and they make my salad without taking out the toppings I asked them to leave out, or if they do, I barely have any lettuce. I just went through the drive thru and ordered a full size greek salad without tomatoes and feta cheese. They left out the toppings I asked for which was great, but when I sat down to eat it, the salad dressing was wrong. The dressing ruined the whole salad and so I ended up just throwing it out. The chicken on the frontega was absolutely disgusting because some of the pieces were covered in a brown, tough looking skin. The tomatoes that were on the sandwich were old looking or super ripe.
