Every single fish is packed with roe and tastes incredible. It's much better quality than what you typically find at standard grocery stores. * ​Smoked Mackerel: I picked this up on my last visit along with the shishamo, and it was delicious. I know this place is for the fish, but there's a bare minimum expectation on rice quality. And the fish itself was good? Maybe cuz it's the poke and not the omakase (so mixed chopped pieces) but there were pieces that tasted super fresh and delicious and then there were pieces that had so much tendon I couldn't bite through it. In addition to making a jerky that friends and family love, I have purchased jerky from about every possible website, and local butcher, so when I tell you I know quality jerky, I am certified. I passed this place last summer on my way to a concert at Remlinger Farms. I said I would double back and today was that day. Small shop, but enough space to have a reasonable selection of meats. I was extremely impressed with their exotic meats. Can't say I'd be a customer for ground rabbit, but I do know people that love to make pet food or snacks from exotic offerings. Being a fan of heat, I checked for hot links and spicy smoked offerings, but the selection there was limited. I think I saw about 6 people behind the counter. And besides myself there was one customer who was being helped. For some reason I was ignored for a few minutes, but once I made eye contact with someone it because clear, ignoring me was no longer an option. Once served, I have to say the service improved. The main person I spoke with might have been an owner, if not, he had to be a manger. He provided me with sample of the jerky's and pepperoni. I tried the Colorado and Spicy Jerky. The spicy jerky had a tiny kick, not nearly as much as advertised, but I didn't dig the flavor. The Colorado, which was just a standard smoked jerky was the winner. It was salty and savory and reminded of the jerky that Hickory Farms used to sell in store. Not the bagged retail stuff, they used to have a large jar with smoked jerky for sale. It reminded me of another favorite. There is a place in Shelton called Home Meat Service, that has a jerky that is well worth the drive. The pepperoni, was a little dry, lacked snap and salt, but still had promise. I got Jerky, pepperoni and Hot Italian Sausage. I cooked the sausage for breakfast, it was ok, but nothing special. This could have been a 5-star experience, but the slow recognition really bothered me. I don't believe that would have been the case had I looked more like the common customer. I read the reviews before coning here and several spoke about the warm welcome they got, so again it's clear to me, when comfortable, they treat customers like family.

So I decide to use them, the team didn't understand how to use them, accused me of previously using it and dismissed my question to understand the program with an attitude. The team usually has issues with their attitude around doing the work pleasantly and dare I say with no speed or real care. From a good side the rice is regularly fresh with exception of one time. Team needs to have a moment to learn some of their processes with loyalty pints, managing lines and remaining respectful without attitude when asking questions.

She said they just arrived yesterday and they're fresh. But when I got home and started cooking, there was so much water in the legs. I already knew it means the crab has been sitting in the water tank for a long time. When it's fully cooked, the meat is about half the size of the leg. I called back to the shop and the owner continues to lie and said they got the crab fresh this morning and then literally hung up on me without giving me a chance to say anything. I dialed back and it wasn't even going through so I know she must've blocked my number. TLDR: SCAM OWNER. DO NOT COME.

I think that lime would be a better fit. If the make-your-owl style isn't for you, they also have premade combos. All of the ingredients tasted very fresh, and the place was impeccably clean. These should be table stakes for a seafood establishment, but you don't always see that everywhere. If I were stuck in this area again, or worked at the local hospital across the street, I would definitely be back. Funny enough, the Safeway across the street actually sells poke. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were greeted as we came in, which is often an overlooked tiny thing. The food all tasted very very fresh and everything looked really good. I ordered a "build your own bowl" and proceeded to pick out each ingredient, building an amazing combination. They have plenty of choices in my opinion, even some cooked options, including a grilled chicken option for people like my wife who do not eat fish. Overall my experience here was great, I'd recommend this place any time and will surely be stopping back in the next time I'm in the neighborhood.
