Guy behind the counter pointed out the tastings and figured it was worth going through. The tasting consists of any 4 spirits of your choice for ($5). Good variety in strength and type, though many maple forward options. Really liked the maple bourbon, as it wasn't too pungent or sweet. Maple gin was only okay, not as evenly balanced. The regular gin and bourbon offerings were more ideal, though very strong on its own. Thankfully split the 4 small shots between the two of us since we hadn't had food yet (no snacks for sale here). Things are generally well priced, and they have smaller bottles to buy as well. A welcome respite if looking for a quick perk-up.

I enjoy visiting distilleries and breweries because my husband loves them, and I always like seeing…read morewhat non-alcoholic options they have. Things like hop water and mocktails make it more enjoyable for me, too. This place is really nice, with a beautiful lawn and a great setting for hanging out with friends. I tried one of their mocktails, and the flavor was very good. However, it was mostly ice and felt overpriced for the amount of drink I actually received. For those who need gluten-free options, the snack selection is pretty limited, so that's something to keep in mind. I would definitely come back for the views, atmosphere, and to hang out with friends. Next time, though, I'll probably bring my own snacks and grab a non-alcoholic drink elsewhere.

After a delightful lunch at the Art in the Age Cage, we strolled down to the Tamworth Distillery. We were thrilled to see such an enchanting and charming distillery. We were able to look into where the products are distilled. Today, they were offering several ways to taste their products. You could have 3 tastings for $12, 5 tastings for $15 or a Cider Making which included a tasting of 3 spirits; make your own cider and a plate of cheese, biscuit and apples for $20.00. My husband did the 5 for $15 tasting of the following: Chocorua Straight Rye, Tamworth Garden Pommeau, Tamworth Garden Dutchess Gin, Old Hampshire Applejack, and Ginger Quince Cordial. Our friends did the Cider Making Tasting. Tamara was our server, and she was a delight. She took the time to explain everything to us. We found it most interesting, and my husband enjoyed all of his tastings. So much so, that he purchased a bottle of Flora Gin (which he had previously enjoyed). We enjoyed a really nice afternoon.

After looking at the very attractive displays showcasing each product made at the Distillery, my daughter and I opted to share a tasting. We chose the Moroccan Rose and Grapefruit Flavored Vodka to start and I loved the distinct fruity taste without the sugary sweetness. Next was the Maple Gin, which was lovely as well. Our server told us she likes to mix it with muddled blueberries and ginger beer for a refreshing summertime mule, and I agree that does sound delicious. Our third taste was the Bourbon Maple Cream Liquor, which was so delicious, and we finished the tasting with the Maple Cram Liquor, which was smooth, sweet, and went down very easily. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the store - everything was sparkly clean and shining. The layout of the displays was so attractive. We will definitely stop there again on our next trip to VT.
