There is parking available, but make sure you don't park in spots designated for another business in the same strip. I saw someone from one of those businesses monitoring spots and threatening a tow (which is obviously their right to do). They also have a cafe side with tables and some cute decor. I took a slight detour on the way to work one morning to finally try all of their goodies. Apple Harvest is a newer bakery and catering service out of North Versailles. They serve a variety of donuts, baked goods, pastries, breads, soups, made-to-order breakfast and lunch items, and more. They are located on an unsuspecting street, with mostly industrial businesses around them. It is a few blocks off of Route 30/Lincoln Highway, and it relatively easy to get to. The building has nice decoration and signage out front, so it is easy to locate for a first-timer. As for the interior, it is a smaller space, with a few chairs inside for those waiting on their order. There is no real dine-in option here, as there are no tables inside or outside. There are dedicated parking spaces in front of the building. Additionally, there is some asphalt on the other side of the street for overflow parking. Overall, not a ton of places to park here, but I do not think it should be an issue for anyone coming to visit. I arrived to the bakery around 8:20 AM on a Thursday in September, and it was not too busy. There were a few other customers that came through while I was inside, but I did not have to wait in any line or for very long to be taken care of. The reason I wanted to come here was because of the delicious-looking donuts that I saw online. They are square in shape, absolutely gigantic, and are decorated very well in accordance to their flavor profile. Definitely an Instagram-worthy treat. In addition, they also offer other pies, breads, baked goods, soups, and drinks. They even have a food menu for breakfast and lunch items. I took a few minutes to look around at both the donut selection, as well as the other menu items available that day. The donuts available are displayed in a case that you can see to your left when entering the establishment. It was so hard to choose which ones I would get, because they truthfully all looked so good. The employee who was working the front was very kind and helpful in answering my questions, as well as fulfilling my order. I ended up ordering a half-dozen of donuts with the Maple Glazed Cinnamon Twist, Mocha Chocolate Cream, Burnt Almond Torte, Pumpkin Cream with Pumpkin Frosting, Strawberry Crunch, and Coconut Crunch. I also got an Apple Fritter as well. For my breakfast, I chose a Sausage, Egg and Cheese on a Homemade English Muffin. There was also the option to get this sandwich on a glazed donut. I did not get that on this trip, but will have to come back and try it sometime! The sandwiches are made-to-order, so I waited about 5 or so minutes for it to be prepared. As for the donuts, the employees will pack them in the box for you to take home. Since I was on my way to work, I took everything with me to-go. I thought the sandwich was really good! I always appreciate homemade breads, especially English Muffins. It was cooked well, very cheesy, and overall a great and hearty start to the day. I also like how these are somewhat customizable, as sometimes breakfast sandwiches are fixed menu items that cannot be changed in any way. Usually, I am not a huge sweets for breakfast person, so I saved my donuts to take home and enjoy later in the day. And wow, they were awesome! Though they are very large, they are more of a traditional donut, so they are not too heavy. It would be very easy to eat a full one in one sitting, but also large enough to split with someone. My favorites were the Coconut Crunch, Burnt Almond Torte, and the Pumpkin Cream, though none of them were bad. My fiance loved the Apple Fritter. In terms of value, I believe this place is fair. The breakfast sandwich was $7 before tax, which is what I would consider somewhat average for a local place. My 6 donuts and apple fritter cost me around $25, which for the size and quality I thought was a reasonable cost. Some of them cost more than others, such as if there is filling. The price is definitely more of a once-in-a-while treat, but worth it regardless. Nevertheless, I think for good, homemade items you will get your money's worth here. The only note I have on prices is that some were not displayed, which I would have preferred to see before I purchased. I am glad that my TikTok feed wanted me to come here so badly! This is a nice spot on the East side of Pittsburgh with quality, homemade goods. The donuts are fun and different from any other place in the city, so for that alone it is worth a trip to try. I would love to try some of their other foods or catering items in the future. Plus of course, more of the donuts in different flavors. I know they are relatively new, but I hope there is a wider selection of non/donut items to purchase the next time I come. I would recommend giving Apple Harvest a try if you have yet to visit!

With that being said, Dunkin', remind your rude, judgmental employees that no matter what someone looks like, money still spends. Honestly, if it were just mid coffee and tiny sandwiches, I would have let it go. But the fact that not only did people not want to help a paying customer, but actually fled the counter and gave me side eye made me post this. I had to travel to White Oak on a recent Saturday morning, which is a neighborhood that I rarely…read morevisit. Naturally, I had to seek out a donut shop on the way in my quest to find not only the perfect donut in Pittsburgh... but the world. I looked for shops along the way and found the Corner Donut Shop, located at the corner of a strip mall on the McKeesport/White Oak border. It's open from 6 a.m. to noon, so I called ahead an order the day before knowing I wouldn't be able to pick up the donuts until about 11:30 a.m., figuring they would be low on options when I arrived. Surprisingly, there still were a decent number of options left when I stopped, but calling ahead an order was the right idea, since I was able to get exactly what I wanted. The shop itself was clean and had a solid variety. The seating area was blocked off because of Covid precautions, but looked like it would be a nice spot to hang out and have some coffee. Now for the donuts: Cake donut with vanilla frosting and sprinkles: Very soft, dense, and chewy, both the donut and frosting were mildly sweet. It felt like an upgraded Entenmann's donut. I prefer a cake donut with a crispy exterior, but this was still tasty. Cinnamon roll: The cinnamon roll is a special donut, not included as a part of a half dozen or dozen. It was quite large, soft, and had a subtle sweetness with a noticeably stronger cinnamon flavor than most other cinnamon rolls I've had. I enjoyed the strong cinnamon flavor, and would welcome other shops kicking up the cinnamon level in their cinnamon rolls. Vanilla cream filled: This was the sweetest donut of theirs that I tried, buoyed by a massive amount of vanilla cream. The actual donut itself was doused in powdered sugar and was a bit dry, but overall, it was balanced well by the cream filling. Toasted coconut cream: By far, this was the best donut I tried. Reminiscent of a coconut cream pie, the base is a raised donut, topped with vanilla cream and toasted coconut. The layered arrangement of the donut is unique, and avoids the common foible of cream popping out of the donut when you take a bite. The coconut was nicely toasted, and the vanilla cream was a perfect complement. If you visit this shop and like coconut, you need to try this donut. If I'm in the area, I would definitely visit the Corner Donut Shop for another toasted coconut cream donut and to try some other varieties. It's a solid little neighborhood donut shop with good variety, reasonably priced (I paid about $9 for a half dozen and a cinnamon roll). Check it out if you're in the area.

They incorporate a lot of historic Braddock art on the walls which is a nice touch. There is plenty of seating in the main taproom and the side room. The beers are always good at this spot. My favorites from them are the General Braddock's, Garden Party, and DoubleMex. They have a parking lot and plenty of street parking. Their sister restaurant, Braddock Public House, is right down the street.
