Do you offer any in-house catering for an event?

We do do not provide catering at this time

What is on the kids menu? I see all the options for adults but nothing for kid options.

They’re able to adjust any portion for kids so tinder’s, etc can be made in a size for children. They don’t specifically list a kids menu but are able to adjust for you.

Does it smell fishy? I'm with someone who cannot stand the smell of seafood (like raw shrimp, briny fish, etc) so I just want to make sure it smells okay.

Not in the slightest.

A simple breakfast was elevated by the house made biscuit and friendly staff. I was greeted kindly and after a quick glance at the menu, ordered and had my coffee by the time I was done with my payment! I barely had time to get settled in and my biscuit came out, topped with what I consider to be the best bacon I've had since...possibly ever. Sweet, smoky, salty. The perfect addition to a breakfast sandwich, elevating it to a new level! The server was very attentive, the fellow guests were lively and welcoming. Go try this place if you haven't already, and if you have,GO BACK AND TIP BIG, they deserve it!

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more It is only fitting that I check out another breakfast/brunch place with the iconic American breakfast staple "biscuit" mentioned in their name. As for such locales within the Space Coast, this is the third one (off the top of my head) I have had the pleasure to dine in, right after "Oh" and "Twisted." So was Grumpy's Biscuits (which I will shorthand simply to Grumpy's for the remainder of this review) just another fine establishment to add to other fine breakfast estabishments here on the coast that shoots off rockets, or did they standout. I am happy to review that Grumpy's has enough subtlety to standout without smashing the competition. That is something I admire because I prefer options within harmony, Competition amongst competitors to improve one's self. Even though an address is provided, Grumpy's is located on Highland Ave., just north of the westbound part of Eau Gallie Blvd. within the EGAD. If it helps, it is right across the street from the EGAD Civic Center. First and foremost, the building Grumpy's is located in is an iconic landmard within the EGAD. Grumpy's shares the building with other businesses in which they occupy the southernmost business space, which is quite small with a small indoor eating area and a small outdoor patio with each table having individual umbrellas for shade or rain cover. It fits as Grumpy's is said in two phrases: "simple and trendy" and "cozy." The workers and owner are friendly and hospitable, and they assisted me in deciding on what to eat, which they have given each of their biscuits/sandwiches/etc. a female name. I chose "Lisa," a breakfast biscuit consisting of bacon, over easy egg, smoked gouda, mixed greens, and housemade balsamic glaze. Couple of notes about this amazing biscuit, the bacon were thick cut and candied. Truly amazing. And the balsamic glaze. Whatever their recipe is, it is amazing. I could definitely have that on many a meal. Yes, I know exactly how I wrote that! As for the coffee, I got an iced coffee which is premade and ready-to-serve. They use half-and-half and stevia in the raw. Ergo, the coffee was what I wanted. Finally, the restroom. Take note the "water closet" is outside in the hallway. Since the restaurant is small, it is a single-server. Fortunately, it was stocked and clean. There was also an "ambiance" of class, which is nice given the fact the restaurant is... well... small... and the restroom is probably shared with the other businesses, too. Ultimately, Grumpy's was an amazing initial visit and I look forward to visiting them again. Since this is the first and only time (so far) I have been here, I will give them four out of five stars. After a couple more visits, if they stay consistent, I will add their fifth star for consistency.

But there were also a couple of outside tables and we grabbed one of those to enjoy our food. In addition to bagels, they offered some enticing baked goods. My wife and I both had the Breakfast Special "Eggle", which was an Egg, Meat and Cheese on a bagel. We chose bacon, though my wife skipped the cheese. Banana River Cafe is proof that the smell of bacon can make you forgive almost anything…read more First, a fun fact: they're operated by a CIA graduate. No, not that CIA. The Culinary Institute of America. Our daughter actually graduated from their Baking & Pastry program in San Antonio, so we were already inclined to give the place a try. But I digress. The moment you walk in, the smell of bacon smacks you right in the face. In the best possible way. So. Dang. Good. We stopped in on a busy Sunday afternoon. The dining room was hopping. A few tables could have been bussed a little quicker, my chair needed a quick swipe-down before I sat, and there were a few chips hanging out on the floor. Normally I'd notice those things more, but then the bacon smell hit again and suddenly none of it seemed quite as important. I ordered two perfectly cooked over-medium eggs, sliced tomatoes (instead of potatoes), and a biscuit. I chose the biscuit over toast or an English muffin with absolutely no intention of eating it. My plan was to take it home for one of the kids. Then I took one bite. Friends, this was THE best biscuit I have ever eaten in my entire life. I don't throw around statements like that lightly. If you visit Banana River Cafe and order absolutely nothing else, order the biscuits. They deserve their own Yelp page. My husband got what I think was called the Power Bowl--a delicious-looking pile of rice, beans, carnitas, and all the ingredients that make a great burrito bowl. Our son absolutely housed his French toast. Our daughter ordered the Rosemary Chicken Salad Wrap with pasta salad. I sampled the chicken salad. It had a whisper of rosemary. A polite suggestion of rosemary. A rosemary cameo appearance. If you're going to call it Rosemary Chicken Salad, I'd personally vote for a little more rosemary. My daughter loved it, though. She also loved the pasta salad but wasn't a fan of the Parmesan sprinkled on top. If Parmesan must be involved, let's keep it to the kind that comes from a block and not the green plastic shaker. Just my two cents. The staff was friendly, service was great, and soda refills appeared before we even had to ask. I also loved the local artwork displayed throughout the restaurant. Every piece has a price tag, so if something catches your eye, you can literally take it home with you. Great food, great service, incredible biscuits, and enough bacon aroma to improve your mood instantly. We'll definitely be back.

I'd love to review the food, but I've never actually made it that far. The "bartenders" seem to operate under the impression that customers are an unfortunate side effect of working in a bar. I spent a decade behind the stick myself, so I understand bad shifts, shitty customers, being slammed, and wanting to throw a bar rag at someone. But these people appear genuinely offended that you had the audacity to walk in, sit down, and attempt to give them money. Management might want to consider a controlled burn followed by a complete rebuild. Seriously, if your resting facial expression says, "I fucking hate you and everything about this place," maybe hospitality isn't your calling. There are plenty of careers where interacting with humans is optional. And spare me the "restaurant business is tough" excuse. Sandbar manages to employ people who don't look like they're serving a prison sentence. Long Doggers somehow finds employees capable of making eye contact without conveying pure contempt. So apparently it can be done. At this point, I have no idea if the food here is amazing, terrible, or prepared by a Michelin-starred raccoon in the back. I'll probably never know, because I can't survive the first line of defense long enough to order it. Maybe management should stop worrying about getting people through the door and start asking why the people behind the bar seem so pissed off that they came.

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. The food was okay, though hugely overpriced for what we got. The service sucked. We weren't able to get seating outside, so we had to sit in the bar area. The "waiter" (i.e. bartender) took forever to bring us menus, plates, silverware, etc. Took even longer to take our orders. And I watched him across the room...he wasn't busy. When I ordered my shrimp basket, he told me it came with a vegetable medley. I told him I didn't really want that. He told me, "Well, that's what it comes with." And he turned away to take my husband's order. RUDE!! Waiters should ALWAYS offer different alternatives! The food was not hot when it finally arrived, and the portions were small. He stopped by a few times to ask if we needed soda refills, but otherwise did not waste any more time on us. He didn't even ask if we'd like dessert. He just dropped the bill on the table and walked away. When you add that to the fact that they deliberately add an extra surcharge to your bill to cover the cooks/dishwashers' wages because they're too cheap to pay them a decent wage...no, we will NEVER be returning to SquidLips! $95 for three small tepid meals that didn't even include sides we liked? Great! Love that they are in the old Conchy Joe's location and saved the building. It is a fun building. Has some character which really lacks in this area. Clams as appetizers were excellent. We had a problem that the pipes above us were leaking and we were getting rained on!. The manager addressed it, (the servers appeared to not know how to handle)moved us, however our server abandoned us. They were busy, but it was something that he needed to manage. Either give us to the server in the seating area or remember that we moved. He literally never came back and then didn't acknowledge it or apologize or offer a free dessert when we insisted that he return. It is all still a new change, but with a few tweaks to polish their act, it is a great outing. read more

I was visiting for a short time, this is one of the restaurants that was recommended to me. I wound up eating there twice - the brunch was very good, I would have said it was overpriced but we had a BOGO 1/2 off coupon which made it well worth it, I liked the Egg Benedict station the best. I also had the fish special one night, I believe it was double portion because the quantity was huge! It was also very, very good. We have been here several times with the family and the food is OK at best. The kids like being outside and by the water, so on a weekend afternoon its good for that. The service is usually pretty good, but this last time was not. They have a board you write your name on a whiteboard with the number of guests with your party. Our waitress Erica was great. She suggested certain foods for us and she was spot on. My wife had the Highlife dog and I had the Johnny O dog. The taste was great. The atmosphere was great with the surf stuff inside the place. It's literally near the beach and a very soothing place. The burger itself was decent, but the patty-to-bun ratio was off. The bun was good quality, just way too big for the patty. I'd honestly rather see a smaller bun so the burger doesn't feel like it's hiding. On the plus side, the toppings were on point--just the right amount of lettuce, onions, and sliced tomato, which helped pull it together. My wife ordered the Swap Chicken Goofy Foot, which is their plant-based chicken substitute wrap. Her take? It was okay. Not bad, but not impressive either. It tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a meat-free chicken swap in a casual beachside spot--edible, simple, and forgettable. Too much other stuff in the wrap. It didn't wow her, but it also didn't offend. Would she order it again, probably not. That pretty much sums up the experience. No frills, simple, decent food, decent ambiance, and great service. The wait was minimal and the meals arrived quickly. Excellent service! This isn't the place you go for culinary surprises--it's the place you go when you want something easy, reasonably priced, and reliable near the beach. I would give this place a try, just keep expectations in check.

Had a few family members meet us and I found Old Fish House on the good ol Yelp! machine and we're glad we did. Located in a strip mall it's got a bayou kind of flair inside and while in a strip mall, it's close enough to hit up Ron Jon's and some other attractions so you can walk off your meal! We had some frog legs, fried mushrooms, fish, and crab legs. The frog legs were sautéed and really light tasting and the garlic butter was delicious to dip the mushrooms in. Speaking of mushrooms, they come with that gooood ranch! You know the kind, thick as pancake batter; that goooodddddd ranch! Mom enjoyed her fish and crab legs did taste fresh. Sweet enough to eat without dipping in butter. We waited a bit for food and drink refills but our server was pleasant and no huge issues. The inside is a bit cramped but even on a Friday night, you didn't feel like you were bumping elbows. If you want solid seafood, check out the Old Fish House. If you want waterfront, look elsewhere but you won't go home hungry eating here!
