Everything was good, though the cheese skirt made the burger a bit messy to eat. While I liked the cheese skirt, I don't think I loved it. We thought the one in Lodi was the same so we never came in here. then I looked on yelp and found that there was a pretty expansive menu- Hubby got his normal, cheese skirt 1/4 lb with sweet potato fries..., and I got the steak quesadilla- both were delicious. We came here for an early lunch while in town visiting family. They just opened so we had the fun of the place. There was one bartender and server on the clock and safe to say we put them to work. We ordered a variety of items on the menu because we love making any meal family style. Everything we got was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Came here after the Stockton car show and had a decent meal. Squeeze Burger and Brew is known for their cheese skirt burgers. Basically they overload the burger with a ton of cheese and let it fry up until there's a crispy cheese blanket in the middle, essentially looking like planet Saturn with its rings. We were a party of about 8 and were seated right away on this Saturday evening. The inside is like a typical bar with extra tables for seating. We sat near the left side where there is a garage type door that opens up for an indoor/outdoor feel. The SO and I ordered: Jalapeno popper burger - this was cheesy (due to the skirt) and I wished it had more spice to it! Custom burger with bacon, mushrooms, grilled onion - the SO demolished this and said it was delicious. Side of onion rings - these were really good, crispy, batter and came out piping hot. Our friend apparently was super hungry so he ordered a cheese skirt burger with EVERYTHING on it (see pic). This thing was monstrous and I think he had to unhinge his jaw just to get a decent bite out of it. Our server/host guy was so nice. He comped our drinks just because our friend ate his whole humongous burger. When we went to pay for our meal, there seemed to be a mix up on splitting the bill. This a nice clean restaurant and a great atmosphere. We ordered the Build your own Burger one with bacon and the 2nd one with pepper jack cheese, 2 Garlic Fries and 1 Onion Ring, 3rd Burger with mushrooms. I've come to squeeze burger and brew multiple times. Their seasoned fries with sauce are to die to for! They also have a great selection of burgers. I got the Hawaiian burger with a veggie patty. It comes with a teriyaki sauce which is sweet and adds the perfect flavor. Be sure to tell them you do not want the classic toppings additionally if you do not want mayo and mustard as well because they will include them even with their speciality burgers. I love the diner set up of the place but the chair I sat in last was definitely unsafe. The upholstery cushion was loose on the seat and I fell over twice when I scooted forward in my chair , once causing me to spill my ranch. My friend's seat was not loose like mine. I now have eaten at SBB at least five times over the past few years and it has become a "go to" location when my wife and I are in carnivorous moods. That happened to us yesterday much to our delight following a flight back from Last Vegas. The food was as good as always but the sweet potato fries were a bit small in pieces ( but plenty in number). The service was good also, with our orders as asked for with one small miss when my wife's Chard was forgotten. All else was so good that we let that go. Called to order and found out they no longer serve turkey burgers...asked about a chicken sandwich but didn't want deep fried. I found out they had white meat chicken...yay! When I opened my sandwich, the sourdough bread was limp and wet and the chicken turned out to be a slice of white meat that had been cooked or warmed up...it was dry and tasteless with avocado smooched on the bread. We recently went with friends and they order the hot honey on the side for dipping. I did the same and it instantly elevated the food in my opinion from to good to amazing! The sweetness with the spicy mixing it with the saltiness of everything had my toes curling for a lack of better words. We've been eating here for close to ten years, Trish. It's been ruined for us by Tsunami, who has waited on us on our last five visits. He's so unwelcoming, we actually "joked" on our last two visits that we should call ahead to see if he's working - so we can GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if he is. The only reason I know his name is because he USED TO say, "Hi y'all, my name is Tsunami and I'll be your server today. Can I start y'all off with some drinks?" Today: I've become so accustomed to his un-rushed "style" that I set a stopwatch when we sat down. That's how I know it was TWELVE MINUTES before he came to our table. Our "greeting" was an unenthusiastic, "Have you decided what you want?" That was it! No, "Hi" or "How's your day?" or "Here are our specials" or "Can I get you started with..." NOTHING! As he wrote down our order, he never made eye contact, just stared off into the distance like we were a burden to him. He never even asked if I wanted anything to drink. He was such a wet blanket, I actually asked if he was okay. He said sarcastically, "We're just doing super great (sigh)". Everyone has bad days, but Tsunami is 5 for 5 with us. After leaving his dark cloud at our table, he eventually returned to give me the wrong drink - and that was the last we heard from him. Someone else brought our food as he trudged around. After we finished eating, a young woman was cleaning the table next to ours and we asked her if the restaurant offered refills. She quickly brought my refill and my wife's mixed drink and whispered, "I'm so sorry. You're supposed to be offered them without having to ask". Yes, we know. Next time we saw Tsunami was when he reached over from the next booth to silently put our bill on top of the napkin holder. No, "Was everything okay?" or "May I get you anything else?" or "Thanks for coming in". NOT. ONE. SINGLE. WORD. Trish D - before you tell me it was busy, I've eaten there for enough years to know the difference between normal traffic and slammed and I know the difference between wait staff hustling and not giving a **** about YOUR customers! Tsunami fits into the second category. My wife insists he was more attentive to other customers but, frankly, I didn't notice him being nice to anyone. Looking at several of your recent reviews, we're obviously not alone in feeling like we're not welcome there. Finally, we weren't charged for that 2nd mixed drink we managed to get from the nice girl. When we were ready to pay, my wife went to the bar (where Tsunami was parked, even though not one person was sitting there), to point out that we were undercharged, and it seemed like Tsunami wanted to argue, "You didn't get more drinks" before realizing how bad that made him look. I don't know, maybe he's just used to giving your drinks away for free. We really enjoy the food, Trish, but we can take a hint. If we're not welcome there, we're not welcome. So it goes. If I could give less than one star, I would. This is absolutely not a reflection on the food, but rather the service. Tsunami has served us 5 times and EVERY SINGLE TIME has been awful. He has made us feel as if we are a burden, under charged us for bar drinks( thankfully for your business, I am an honest patron) NEVER follows up with our table to ask if we need anything or offered refills. Just plain awful. This is not hyperbole, he comes off as lazy and entitled. I've worked in the service industry for 40 years and know the challenges of a busy store/restaurant and adjust my expectations accordingly. BUT Tsunami is awful. He's slow, and puts on airs that are completely unwelcoming. He seriously rolled his eyes when I ordered a drink from the bar, I'm assuming because that meant he had to hustle and work harder to get us served. We come to Squeeze about twice a month because the food is great. Our bill is always over $50 and we always tip over 20%. We are actually reconsidering patronizing this establishment due to this employee. Plain and simple: he sucks! On another note, the bus person..shorter lady who has long hair is FANTASTIC and kind and very helpful. She deserves kudos for doing a lot of Tsunami's job. read more

Just because you had an "unpleasant" experience with a server doesn't mean the rest of us share the same sentiment. I met my brother here for lunch during restaurant week 2022. I had the regular squeeze burger and fries It was pretty good. I personally did not like the excessive cheese. It taste burnt to me, but I do think perhaps that's why other people enjoy it. It just wasn't my taste. I also got the deep fried Oreos. These were speaking my language.
