    5th grader fun!

If you have active kiddos who like to run around & play, this is a fun activity. And actually while we were there, there were actually adults playing too! We went for a bday celebration. Girls were 10 years old and enjoyed the hour we spent. Games are about 18minutes each, multiple rounds of stepping on colored blocks to beat the timer (& not lose lives stepping on the wrong color. They came out laughing (& sweaty)! Bring or buy a snack and some water/gatorade in between games!

If you grew up before Roblox, this place feels like human Tetris in the best way possible! We visited during my kids' spring break, and it was such a fun, high-energy experience. We did two rounds at 18 minutes each, and it honestly felt like just two minutes of nonstop cardio an amazing workout without even realizing it. The customer service was excellent, and the staff were super helpful and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean, and parking was easy on a weekday, which made the visit even smoother. We're already thinking this could be a great spot for my son's future birthday party. One helpful tip: the staff mentioned weekends can get fully booked without reservations, so definitely plan ahead. Overall, a five-star experience and we'll absolutely be back!

Wow this place was amazingly fun! Coming from out of town to visit family in SD I saw this and thought it would be fun to get the fam together and play! I saw they only had 2 locations: SD & NY. I also saw price differences on their websites Child/Adults/Gamer. So I emailed them to get it clarified. They responded promptly and also provided me a discount code. I purchased a total of 8 Gamers. We arrived about 15mins earlier than our scheduled 1pm. Everyone in our party had already signed the waivers ahead of time so we actually ended getting started earlier than our scheduled 1pm start. The lady that was there was kind she gave us a small run down. They provided free lockers. They sold snack and drinks. Prior to the games there's also an introductory video that they play for game rules. Green=Safe, Red=loose lives, Blue=you have to clear to move on. It was so much fun, great team building and great physical workout, be prepared to sweat!!!! lol So much screams, laughter, excitements and panics trying to stay away from the red blocks. As the levels increase the Red blocks become more challenging to avoid. Wear something comfortable and closed toe shoes. The place is clean and staff really friendly! I would definitely recommend and would love to play again!

So much fun!! The whole family came (2 kids 11 and 8) and the games and puzzles were so cool to try and complete. We are leaving tired, a bit sweaty, and ready to come back again. Check this place out!

If you are looking for a spot to use up a ton of energy and fire up all of your competitive friends, this is the spot. My husband booked a session for a small group of us to play together in one of the rooms. Our host was super friendly and even offered to take a picture of us before we started so we wouldn't look so sweaty after playing. She clearly went over all the directions, made sure we knew the safety rules, and let us play through our first session. The game is super fun. We did the speed round where the room will have different patterns and your goal is to tap all the blue tiles while avoiding the red tiles. Each level got more and more intense as you go, and it was fun to try and finish each round as fast as possible. We had a blast! After our first session, we took a break while they set up the next session, and our host asked if we preferred to do a puzzle version of the game. We tried it out and had so much fun with that as well! The room will show you a pattern and your goal is is to try and figure out how to complete that pattern with only one "life". It was a great challenge and helped us slow down to watch and see what would be the best way to get through the puzzle. I had such a fantastic time and am hoping they continue to open up more locations all around. This would be great for children, teens, and adults alike. We were all adults, but I could totally see this for team building, birthday parties, weekend activities, etc. My only regret is not taking pictures or a video of the room myself because I put everything away in the lockers since the rooms look so cool! I strongly recommend this spot!

Fun for the whole family, our kids didn't want to leave! We took our 5 and 8-year-old to Squarena in Solana Beach. It's such a unique concept -- a giant interactive digital playground that kept both of our kids fully engaged (and burning off tons of energy!) for well over an hour. The games and activities are creative, immersive, and super kid-friendly. It felt safe, clean, and well-run, which gave us peace of mind as parents. Bonus: since it's indoors, this is the perfect option for rainy days or when you need a break from the park or beach. Highly recommend for families looking for something fun and a little different in North County.

The venue is clean and new! The game rooms work well. They move FAST! You NEED to wear good shoes and clothes to move in. There's a speed level and a puzzle level to change up the pace

We had the best time at Squarena for Father's Day! First of all, booking was super easy. We had to email and reschedule last minute. The customer service team responded within 20 minutes and was being super flexible. We brought the kids (3yoa to 8yoa), the father and the grandfather to play. Everyone had a blast! We got the larger room to fit 8 of us and it didn't feel crowded at all. The games and levels are very well designed that to be fun and challenging enough for both the 3yoa and the 70yoa grandpa. Everyone walked out with a huge smile and a sweaty face. The place is spotlessly clean. Although the game room was exciting, it was helpful that the lobby/rest area was cool and calm. Also happy to see a nice party room there for events. Will definitely go back! Bonus point, Bongiorno's pizzeria is one block away!

Hysterical and engaging for the WHOLE FAMILY! A birthday celebration event for the 73 y.o. "Grandpa" :)

This was an early birthday gift to myself, and honestly, nothing could have been more meaningful. Our group was led by the founder, Wendy, along with another amazing educator whose name I regretfully don't remember. Both were absolutely wonderful, you could feel how much they care for and understand each animal through the knowledge, enthusiasm, and respect they shared with us. The groups are small, maxing out at eight people, which makes the experience feel personal and intimate. Before the otter swim, we met about seven other animals, including a sloth, capybaras, fennec foxes, ring-tailed lemurs, and more. We were even able to feed, pet, and interact up close with many of them, which made the tour around the property both educational and heartwarming. And then of course, the highlight of the day: the Otter Swim. We got to spend time in the water with three playful otters, and I can now officially say I've petted an otter (flat hand, of course)! They had no concept of personal space, swimming all around us, climbing on our arms, and using us as launch pads back into the water. Watching them play and interact up close was beyond adorable. It was truly a 10/10 (or more like 1,000,000/10) experience, and I would--and hopefully will be back again someday. Parking: They have a decently sized lot available Bathrooms: Both port-o-potties out front, and 2 proper restrooms within the facility

The play area was exceptionally crowded, and my toddler who had just turned 2 at the time had a hard time navigating around the older, bigger kids. The age range felt a little questionable to me. At other play places we frequent, the kids tend to be closer in age, but that wasn't the case here. My son was knocked around a few times by bigger children, and the environment became very overstimulating. We ended up leaving early because of the chaos and my son not able to properly use anything... nearly all of the fruit and vegetable toys from the market area had been scattered throughout the play space, leaving the market and kitchen section where many of the younger kids were gathered mostly empty. Overall, it just didn't feel like the right fit for us. We decided to give Kids and Coffee another try this past Wednesday, thinking it might be a better experience without a birthday party happening... and it was! We paid for two hours, stayed about an hour and a half, and my son had a great time. One thing I really appreciate about Kids and Coffee is that their café is nut and peanut free, which is especially important for families like ours dealing with multiple food allergies. That peace of mind was honestly the main reason I wanted to give the space another chance. We were even considering adding Kids and Coffee into our regular rotation since it's closer to us than some of the other play places we enjoy. Unfortunately, after our visit, my son became extremely sick most likely with norovirus. I completely understand that illnesses can happen anywhere kids gather, and I don't blame the business for that. However, during our entire visit, I didn't see any employees actively present in the play area. Parents, myself included, were gathering and returning the pretend produce to the market area, but none of the toys appeared to be wiped down or sanitized. At other play places, such as Tiny Tiger, there always seems to be staff actively cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day. Because we have been to so many play places now with great experiences and have not come home with an illness from any other we will just be sticking to our regular spots moving forward. I think sanitation still needs a little work at this location or perhaps even someone checking temperatures at the door like other places All in all, we unfortunately won't be returning.
