We had a really fun experience for my husband's birthday weekend. The whole thing lasted about two hours. We got to fly a hawk named Logan in a large group circle. And we also had a chance to fly with a falcon along the cliffs, watching it catch beatles. The handlers were all very nice and knowledgeable. They taught us about the natural habitat and the lifespan on these raptors. How to keep them safe in the wild, etc. During our experience with Logan, he even got chased off by a wild falcon and the handler had to go track him down using the satellite GPS. It was overall a cool experience. I highly recommend it for something special and unique to do.

I love the atmosphere! It was outdoors and I got to see 3 super cool owls! The guide was super respectful, interactive and fun to be around! I was really happy I got to learn more about the owls and got to hold two! I would love to come back and seem them!

This was an awesome experience. We had a group of four. Learning about the capabilities of hawks and falcons was fascinating. The falconers were very knowledgable with years of experience. And of course, the opportunity to have a falcon resting on your gloved arm was amazing. They are such beautiful creatures! You will get the opportunity to to have them fly from you to your friends in the group. Lots of great photos opportunities too. We can't recommend this experience enough.

Amazing experience! We were almost 40 minutes late to our reservation due to heavy traffic, but Antonella was very patient and understanding. The experience itself was wonderful. Our falcon (Bunco) was stunningly gorgeous and the views were beyond breathtaking. Antonella is very passionate about her birds and takes very good care of them. I highly recommend this experience for those who have not tried it.

Didn't know what to expect when my daughter's Christmas gift was a father-and-daughter falconry experience. Total Raptor eXperience was so amazing and we had such a wonderful shared experience together. The instructor were knowledgeable, friendly, and caring for the birds and the environment. The Falcons and hawks were so beautiful, magnificent, and well trained. We really enjoyed the beautiful scenery and experience. It was better than my yearly tennis shoe gifts.

We signed up for this raptor experience last minute without researching it and went into it without having any expectations. What an amazing afternoon this way! Andrea, Antonella, and Dave are super knowledgeable and passionate about these amazing birds. It was an interactive experience (meaning the birds will land on your gloved arm) and just overall such an awe inspiring afternoon. Would definitely recommend doing this and if we are ever back in the area, we would most certainly do this again. Andrea, Antonella, and Dave- thank you SO much for letting us be part of your raptors' afternoon!

So much more than I expected, it was the perfect experience to celebrate a combined birthday and Mother Day. I suggest showing up a little early to grab a coffee and watch the paragliders take off and fly around. We got to learn about each bird, have them fly back and forth from your glove and watch the falcon fly over the cliffs. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable, they answered all of our questions and made sure everyone had a great time. I highly recommend booking your own visit.

My wife took my here for my birthday and it was awesome! The teachers were informative, kind and they really wanted everyone to learn something, to have fun and to get a selfie with the birds if that's what the guests wanted. Getting there was super easy as was the parking and the parking was free! The views overlooking the ocean were incredible! My wife and I highly recommend this experience!

The classes Introduction to Falconry & Falcon Flight blew my mind and exceeded all my expectations!!! There is literally nothing like having a falcon/&/hawk fly straight to you and stare into your eyes. Seriously remarkable how well behaved these powerful birds are by choice. Terry's story telling was captivating - the passion and knowledge she has from dedicating her life to this is contagious. Terry, Antonella & Dave gave me a new found love for these birds and how I can make changes in my life to keep them safe. These classes are worth every penny. I highly recommend taking advantage of this safe once in a lifetime experience. I was a little scared going in but as soon as I was there it is so organized and the trainers put any butterflies to eases so I was able to really step into the moment and absorb every ounce of it.

My wife and I had an amazing time with Andrea and David. My wife got this as a birthday present and we really enjoyed the whole event (about 2 hours). We are fellow bird lovers and were very happy to see that they treated their birds very kindly - didn't force them to do anything and let the birds have fun. Both staff members were extremely patient, answered all of our questions, and were very enthusiastic about what they do. Definitely recommend this! Don't forget sun protection!

Oh man!!! This was a surprise adventure for my birthday and it did not disappoint!! It was incredible. We met Dave the falconer and his lovely Lanner Falcon Sophi. They were both so generous with their skills. We brought our three young daughters and Dave was so patient with my sweet six year old who chatted his ear off. He answered our many questions and managed this stunning wild animal and us complete novices with such care. Also, Dave accommodated our scheduling faux pas and moved our lesson to a different time at the last minute. Between the glory of the cliffs at Torrey Pines (overlooking the ocean!!), interacting with a beautiful specimen of Mother Nature, and having a knowledgeable and generous guide to experience it with, we were enchanted. Do yourself a favor and book this!

For starters, it is a great place to bring people of all ages (as long as they aren't afraid of birds). You get to feed the birds, talk to them, dance with them, take photos with them, and feed the koi fish in the koi pond! I have always made my reservation online the night before I wanted to go and had no issues booking. I do recommend going earlier in the day when it is a little less busy and the birds are hungry! I believe the fee has gone up the last couple years but right now it is sitting at $10 per person which is still not very expensive at all in my opinion. You can also stay as long as you'd like. The volunteers are very kind and welcoming and are very knowledgeable about the birds. It is great to speak with them to learn more. Pro tip- I do feel that the sanctuary can get a little windy and cold so make sure to bring a light jacket and some water just in case!

We stopped by later in the afternoon as a spur of the moment thing, so some of the birds were already ready to head in and there were fewer out. You can walk around and offer them food, which was a nice experience. I'd probably suggest going closer to midday. There are still plenty of birds to see, which is sad in a way, but it also shows why a place like this matters.

Details: Family of 4, two toddler boys ages 3&5 Went on a weekend There's plenty of parking but don't take a freshly washed car, it will get dirty! You enter a giant tent with different sized pumpkins laying on the ground. To the right of the tent outside in the back there are a few more. It's not the most authentic pumpkin patch feel in regards to picking a pumpkin but the rest made up for it. Front and center is a ginormous fake pumpkin designed by an artist, it is for sale for $2000. Would be the ultimate decoration if it weren't so big, it doesn't break down and I don't know if it could handle rain. The cool thing is the artist is on site to design your freshly bought pumpkin!!! The artist, was phenomenal and could shave your pumpkin in 15 min into any design you showed him! It was difficult to communicate with him, but show him your picture and you can expect magic. I will admit we bought a $75 ginormous pumpkin and had our last time shaved I to it bc I had no artistic brain and the kids couldn't agreee on a superhero. It's now covered in mold unfortunately but it was amazing while it lasted! The artist charges $20 no matter the size and there's a tip box he absolutely deserves!! Head out back for all the carnival rides! I guarantee all us parents once rode these at a state fair at some point!!! There was a flying swing ride with the type of swing seats for babies at the park so my 3 year old was ecstatic, there were different bounce houses, a tiny train (if you go online, there's a coupon for a free train ride), a food tent that had hot dogs, burgers, fries and a few more options. Food wasn't super over priced which was great but food was eh. Each ride is 1 ticket. I believe we bought 12 tickets (6 for each kid) and it was $45ish. We spent probably 2 hours here. There's a bunch of hay with the giant pumpkins for sale that I saw many people taking pictures at. There were a few other ok spots for a picture of your kids. Overall, I'd recommend coming here, it's right off the 5, easy to get to, plenty of fun for littles. And it wasn't uncomfortably busy for a weekend.

Just know that the pumpkins come from the farm so there's a scarce selection here. The only pros is that there are quite a bit of rides for small children. You can spot the white tent from a far. It's in the same dirt over flow lot during San Diego Fair season which is located across the street. The pumpkins are in the white tent. Small ones in the center, a few rows of medium and large to your right. Then outside on the hay stacks are a few more irregular large size. Not much to see or any background that's photo worthy. There are two large tents with lunch tables outside to your right. To your left is the play area for kids, two private party tent area, one food truck. Center comprise of portable bathrooms. The pumpkins have sticker prices on them. You can buy craving kits at the counter and popcorn. There are two wheel barrels to borrow for those heavy ones.

As…read morea newbie into healthcare/emergency services etc and without any previous knowledge like anatomy classes etc, I had so much to learn, just listen in lectures and you'll pass and do great. I did the accelerated course for 5 weeks Mon-Thu 8am-5pm. Tips: 1. whether you have general knowledge of the topics covered in an EMT course or not, acknowledge that you are gonna be digesting a lottttt of new information. Get good sleep, take your notes, apply yourself don't just show up to class and expect to pass 2. Create a good set up. I did my sign/symptoms homework over the weekend in addition to the online JBL quizzes. (both graded). This way during the week all I had to worry about was learning new information, being ahead, and studying for the in person quiz and exam. 3. Ask questions, the instructor is a tool that you can use. They are always there to help you and want you to succeed. Super knowledgeable and helpful, just have the courage to ask questions, especially when it's needed. 4. Sign up for your 2 required EMS rides early, if you do them in the second or third week it's better. A lot of the students including myself put dates for the last 2 weeks of the course, however EMS services can only have so many ride alongs.Hence, I just finished the course and am taking my 2nd ride along the week after because it was backed up. Do it early. 5. Make friends in the class and help each other out. We were all able to bond over the topics that were harder to learn etc, it ended up helping a lot. Everyone the first week is obviously nervous but everyone is super nice just put yourself out there. 6. When your class is studying together for the quiz or exam and Spencer is talking, listen CAREFULLY to what he says, if he repeats something or says it slowly, it's for a reason, study it for the quiz/exam. You will be doing yourself the biggest disadvantage if you don't listen to the instructor in class. 7. The skills assessments. You get out what you put in. Skills instructors are there to help teach you and correct you in practice, but be able to make mistakes and learn before skills testing day. 8. Manage your time effectively. Some students understood the information better than others and were able to enjoy themselves more outside of class time, for students like myself, the information was hard to grasp and the extra time outside of class is needed to study more. Expect to be done with class, go home and study what you learned. 9. Quizlet helps a lot, however cross check the information on there with your notes. (the book wasn't really much of help). But Spencer goes over all of the important topics in detail. Quizlet is good for practice but know your definitions and how things work. 10. Not everyone in the class but most were taken as a prerequisite for Fire Service. Super nice to network with everyone on this journey and get more information about the different routes people are on. I believe we started with 60 individuals and ended with 40 passing or so. Overall, the class was not that difficult if you followed these. At a bare minimum, turn everything in on time, keep up in the class or get ahead, LISTEN to the instructor. Great experience. Also the Cargo Cafe coffee shop there is phenomenal. Very convenient. About to take NREMT, super confident and studying pocket prep after the class. Goodluck y'all.
