Love this beach location. The hill can be steep if you're bringing a wagon. Lots of space if you're willing to walk a little bit. Outdoor shower and foot sprayers available as well as public restrooms, basketball court, viewing area on the top, and a playground.

Loved this beach and park! I love that it has a little playground and big grassy area with views of the beach! My little one had lots of paved walking space to push her little stroller around and when it was time for lunch we had a nice picnic in the grass followed by some time on the playground. We ended our afternoon with a walk down on the beach to soak in the views some more. It's so beautiful over here and we will definitely return.

Long time due review, but I could not pass this time after coincidentally seeing this park and beach as the scenario of a beautiful proposal last Sunday! Perfect park with vistas to the ocean, perfect decor all whimsical and childish in a way, perfect beach...ideal SoCal dream. Even parking around is easy. Peaceful beach, well taken care playground, bathrooms. Nothing to not like!

Stopped by Fletcher Cove Beach Park to get some fresh air and take a few pictures, and it ended up being such a nice stop. My sister loves visiting the beach in every city we travel to, and this one did not disappoint. The views were beautiful, the area was very clean, and it felt calm and relaxing. We also noticed a really nice playground for kids, which makes this spot great for families as well. Overall, it's a perfect place to take a walk, enjoy the ocean breeze, and unwind. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Fletcher Cove Park is a pretty cool beach destination. Over and above beach access, it's got a playground and basketball courts. The beach is flanked by some pretty nice cliffs, and lifeguards patrol here, so there's some degree of safety if you decide to go into the ocean. The lifeguards keep a weather eye on things from the cliff top, and communicate with people on the beach via a loudspeaker system. On the down side, while there are bathrooms here they could use an update, and aren't as clean as they should be. Tip: Dogs are not allowed on the beach here, though there's a dog beach a few miles away.

I've been in San Diego for over a decade and only just discovered this Fletcher Cove Beach Park. It's not crowded, but very pretty and clean.

Really nice park. Playground, basketball court, and restrooms. Nice beach area below. Nice observation perch above. Does have lifeguards.

I keep a list of meditative places and beautiful outdoor places. Fletcher Cove Park is on the list. A few items of note: The park has a beautiful grass park overlooking the ocean. The path to the ocean is a on a grade. Not good for those trying to reach the beach who have with mobility issues or who may rely on assistive devices. You will commonly find groups of people enjoying the grassy area. It's great for picnics, small parties or lounge time with your pet. There are restrooms, basketball courts and are picnic tables as well -- with several tables closer to the bluff overlooking the ocean. All are without shade, however. There is a small parking lot that fills up very quickly. But there is free street parking on the streets surrounding the park. Just be attentive to posted signage, especially in the neighborhoods. I love community spaces like this, especially like this where you can bring the family, the pups and a packed meal along with a book if you are so inclined and spend the entire afternoon watching, relaxing, meditating or in a slumber.

I love this beach! I came here a few years back, and it was a fun time! Couldn't wait to take my daughter to this beach playground! Parking is a little tough, they have a very small parking lot, if you're lucky you can snag a spot! I believe street parking is available too!

I absolutely live this spot. I've been coming here for years. It's a fantastic location with sunrise and sunset so just gorgeous and they have a brand new Playground now.

What a fun beach! First time in Solana Beach and had a great time even though the sun was hiding. Perfect temperatures and great tall ocean waves. Can't wait to come back and spend more time!

Such a gorgeous hiking park right in the midst of our North County Coastal city! There's so much to…read moresee and do here, from picnics to the many hiking trails to hosting outdoor events, including weddings (They have a wedding gazebo!). We came here seeking the suspension bridges and the butterfly garden. The park did not disappoint. Within a couple hours of hiking, we got to see both bridges, a beautiful outlook tower of Encinitas and beyond, as well as the sweet little butterfly garden next to 2 duck ponds. Although we chose to park on the neighborhood streets outside the park, there's plenty of parking inside the park ($5 day fee). There are a couple points of entrances. The lower entrance is nearest the recreational area that has a full basketball, volleyball, and pickleball court. All in all, I would highly recommend this place for a family outing, a hiking adventure, or simply a few hours of relaxing escape away from urban life.

Today we walked a whole loop (my daughter, her college friend, and I to get some exercise before going out to brunch. We admired the view from the Osuna Overlook, walked past workers weeding and trimming the new garden area between the upper and lower parks up top with river rock bordered paths. Looks super nice! My daughter commented that they ought to let local youth paint the rocks--that'd be a cool community event! We proceeded down the paved street that passes by the Scout House, crossed over by the pollinator garden where a kind person pointed out the bat house they placed there (I learned bats are good pollinators and that they need to be protected from raccoons!) Onward to the butterfly garden where I saw a monarch butterfly! We continued to the duck pond at the lowest part of the park where there are picnic areas to be reserved for birthday parties and picnics. We saw a pair of mallard ducks and a solo heron. Spring has sprung! Everything is blooming and the wild creatures are atwitter. Truly a marvelous community park. They even host an annual half marathon here. My brother-in-law and I ran it together in 2012 and it was challenging! Perhaps the biggest challenge being the walk uphill after the race to get to the beer garden lol. I think we ended up not going there and just walking home. Anyway, if you're in the area, check it out! There are several different hiking trails and lots of flora and fauna to admire.
