Salad was small and the "crispy prosciutto " probably had not been crispy for a day or two...and Ms. PAC-man was 1$ per play. We went to Square Peg Pizzeria when they first opened and haven't stopped since! Their pizza is amazing! I'm a HUGE fan of the Detroit style. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. You're greeted and seated promptly upon entering and the service just gets better from there. The bartenders are quick and knowledgeable about their drink menu and this place just never seems to disappoint. Fresh out of the oven pizza with a perfect crust and cold drinks to take the thoughts of the day. It's like our little piece of Italy right in the heart of Shelton. read more

Finally tried Square Peg's new Shelton location and it did not disappoint! We ordered a little bit of everything and were impressed across the board. The Red, White & Green pizza was so fresh -- creamy burrata, arugula, cherry tomatoes made it light but flavorful. The Smashed Potato Pie was a standout -- I swapped the sausage for bacon and highly recommend doing the same. We also tried their garlic parm wings (perfectly crispy), meatballs, pasta alla vodka, and the chicken parm sandwich, which came with a side salad. They've got a full bar with cocktails and beer, and the cookie gelato sandwiches for dessert were incredible. Service was great, the space was clean and welcoming. Definitely coming back! read more

It's so nice to have a new Square Peg location that's even closer to us now! The restaurant is beautiful inside and it was the same menu we're familiar with from their other locations. They had some awesome specials for the month of May, and one of our favorite parts of the meal was the chicken bacon cacciatore pizza. I also really appreciated that they were able to make me a mocktail version of one of their drinks. We were in and out in just a little over an hour! read more

Checked out square peg shortly after they opened in Shelton. I have to say the standout of this place is the service. Fantastic. Our server was friendly and brought us fried spaghetti as a fun complimentary start. It was unique! We decided on garlic bread with cheese to start, I ordered the shrimp and avocado salad and my fiance a plain cheese pie. They didn't have the Detroit style yet when we went. Garlic bread was great. My fiance enjoyed his pizza. My salad was a huge let down. Shrimp were so overcooked and tough and this salad was so over dressed and drowning in dressing it was soggy. So, when I saw that this place was opening near me, I was very excited, since my wife and I LOVE Detroit-style pizza (Emmy Squared is one of our favorites). The first time we visited, they didn't have Detroit-style available, which was disappointing. The regular pizza was good, not great. We gave it a second chance. Ordered the chicken tenders and was hopeful but disappointed - they used some overprocessed chicken mcnugget style frozen tender. For the price, I expected actual breast meat. The Detroit-style pizza was OK at best. Drinks are OK. Would've appreciated a Luxardo or Amarena cherry in my Old Fashioned, instead of the fluorescent red maraschino. I don't think this place will last long. It's rarely busy and while the servers are very friendly, the food and drinks are subpar. It's a shaw because it has so much potential in a good location. No idea how this is a franchise that has expanded. read more

Fun atmosphere and great food! We have gone a few times for Bingo on Tuesdays and Trivia on Wednesdays. The salads are huge and the pizza is delicious! Highly recommend the Bianco or the Figgy Piggy! The Detroit style is sooo good, but very filling! I believe they have Karaoke and various musicians on certain night as well. Fun for families and adult night out. read more
