Large buffalo chicken pizza for takeout. The crust is light and not too thin. I will definitely go back again.

That's exactly what makes it great. The inside décor hasn't changed since the 80s, and neither have most of the customers. It's a cozy time warp filled with vinyl booths and the comforting hum of people who gave up on trends and leaned hard into personality. There's this older couple that's always there, drinking beer out of a pitcher like it's their second full-time job. They lovingly swear at each other like two pirates celebrating their anniversary. It's bizarrely heartwarming. Like, if The Notebook ended with a bar fight and karaoke. The food? Let's call it classic neighborhood fare with moments of greatness. The kids might say it's "mid," but I say it's dependable--like your dad's old minivan that smells weird but never breaks down. That chicken souvlaki platter, though? It's a thing of beauty. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned--if they ever try to take it off the menu, I will riot, politely. My wife gets it too because we're both smart and creatures of habit. Our kids split between the chicken fingers (always crispy, no complaints) and the pizza (thick crust, decent flavor, good for soaking up regret and ranch dressing). The waitresses are friendly and clearly overworked, but they still manage to smile and remember your drink order. Heroes in sneakers. Captain's is the kind of place that doesn't care about Instagram likes. It's about real food, real people, and real weird little moments you end up talking about later. It's not trying to be cool--it's just trying to feed you. And sometimes, that's exactly what you need. Would I recommend it? Heck yes. Come for the souvlaki, stay for the couple that argues like it's competitive sport. Long live the Captain.

We specifically requested one of the two high tops, and it was saved for us upon arrival. The space is very fresh and appealing. Service very good. The food was very fresh, hot upon receipt, delicious, and generous of portion. Don't let the outside appearance, in a strip mall, deter you-Trattoria Roma is a terrific restaurant, and we'll definitely return!

If I go back I would consider it as a safe option and order it again. Fried mozzarella- I specifically asked "is it homemade?" The reply was "Yes." They suck! Garbage sticks that they bought out of the freezer at restaurant depot. They remind me of the mozzarella stick from the high school cafeteria. I ate one- won't eat the rest. If that is homemade I am scared to try the meatballs. I am disappointed that I wrote a negative review about this place but I hate getting ripped off. I hear a lot of positive reviews from the community but my experience was not that.

Came here for an anniversary - what a great pick! The place…read moreis stunning inside and out. When we arrived, we checked in our coats and we were seated to a couple of champagne glasses. The array of dishes was a bit overwhelming. I definitely encourage viewing photos of the food prior to ordering, it helped so much. We started with garlic bread and fried calamari. For the main course, I went with the Lasagna made with ground beef and veal. It was absolutely delicious (I even took some home!) My husband went for the fillet mignon and he said the meat was cooked perfectly. The food was 5 stars! Things to note - It was a bit hard to have a conversation because it was loud. Also, we did have a hard time finding the restaurant since it's in a plaza with other businesses. We had to call the restaurant to get accurate directions. I loved the romance this place has. Beautiful beautiful.

Second time coming here. Writing this review a bit late as we were here back in October. First…read moretime I was here was a very unfortunate time for our family as it was my Aunt's Celebration of Life Lunch after her funeral back in 2017. My uncle rented out the entire private event space. I remember the venue being absolutely stunning. Large glass windows and the bar was gorgeous. I didn't realize this was only the private event section of the restaurant. Fast forward to our visit back in October 2025, when we arrived and wanted to sit at this gorgeous bar that I had remembered, it turns out that area is for private events only. There was actually a wedding going on. So, we sat at the main bar and had a drink which is upstairs. Downstairs is where the private events are. Although the main bar was nice, I just had in my head the gorgeous modern vibe of the event space. The main bar is more old school Italian, warm colors whereas downstairs is more bright and modern. Moving on to the food, we split the Giulio Cesare (Ceasar salad). It was fine. Nothing special. Lots of cheese on top. For entrees, I had the Ippoglosso alla Boscaiola con Pure di Patate e Asparagi (Halibut). It was incredible. No complaints. Boyfriend had the Salmone alla Senape e Dragoncello con Spinaci e Pomodorini (Salmon). He enjoyed his dish as well. What I did not love was the dessert. I don't even remember what it was, but it should have been thawed out a bit. It was rock hard when it got to our table. Some sort of a pistachio dessert. I feel like it may have been a torte. We did not enjoy it. I think it was a special they had. Would highly recommend the event space here (beautiful ambiance), however I don't remember much about the food at the event. The building itself is quite impressive as you walk up to it. Nice grounds.
