I came here all the way out from the northeastern part of the SFV in hopes of a pretty niche repair…read morefor a PS3 I won from an auction, and right off the bat, one of the two gentlemen in the shop knew the error code right off the top of his head! And right then and there, I knew I had to get my PS3 repaired from these guys, and it was for a pretty niche repair. It was to fix the wifi/bt module, which ultimately got replaced, with, in my opinion, a quick turnaround of two weeks. It's only been a day, but the PS3 is fully functional again, and I was informed of a warranty which truly reflects the confidence and quality behind their work :o). Thank you again !!

You're sitting there staring at this game thinking this is the coolest thing you've ever seen. That feeling is exactly what this place brings back. I came in looking for a PS2 for my boyfriend's birthday and, honestly, I know almost nothing about video games. I was a little intimidated, but these guys were great. They knew their stuff, explained everything, and actually cared about helping me find the right thing instead of just making a sale. I had my 8-month-old with me, and they were super welcoming. I walked out with the perfect gift, and my boyfriend was absolutely ecstatic. You can tell these guys grew up loving games and never lost that excitement. If you're into retro games, or even if you're clueless like me but need a great gift, go check them out.

I'n not entirely sure what this guys problem was that day, but boy did I have a poor experience on…read morethe phone with one of the guys that work here. I'm a private Pokémon card collector that has never ventured into the world of buy/sell/trade, so I decided I'd call a few shops in the area to see what they'd recommend, and this is exactly how this conversation went. Guy answers phone, i asked him if he had a minute to answer a couple questions i had. "i mean i have a few people I'm helping right now but yeah sure" I proceed to explain that i was looking for guidance or advice on how to offload my extensive Pokémon card collection as I'm moving out of the area, and i was wondering if they had a buyer or something of the sort that would sit down with me and run through it to see what they're willing to buy, etc. He responds, "oookay. Are you planning on paying someone for that?" Confused, i asked what he meant? "Basically what I'm getting at is no, we don't do that. I have a guy here that's really knowledgeable about that kinda stuff but i wouldn't wanna waste his time" I thanked him for his "candid" (read: completely rude) response and that i would look elsewhere. Needless to say I'll never step foot here again.

Asked if I could pay a dollar for a card…read morethat is that is generally $.50 and not even on tcgplayer bc it's a bulk card that no one cares abt. They're selling it for $2 and the prick of a staff made us feel shitty for even asking. Like you can say no straightforwardly and nicely. Like it's okay to be firm on your outrageously priced stuff but this scruffy dude was straight but rude and belittling. Never coming here again smh

**DO NOT GO HERE**…read more Insanely rude. I've never heard anything so unnecessarily disrespectful like this before in my life from any professional. I called and very politely asked a simple question of how much a ps5 repair typically costs for power issues. Like if the issue was the power supply unit how much does that cost, ballpark assuming of course they have fixed PS5 consoles in the past. He responded and said "OK put your PS5 on the phone dude" and started laughing, mocking me and getting rude for absolutely no reason like I was crazy to ask this question. If you want to say "prices vary" or something that's fine. But he chose to be an absolute jerk. And obviously has no actual experience or would rather pull you into higher prices than you could otherwise get. So instead he just chose to just be rude and mocking. I called back to tell a manager about the attitude (hardly ever do this) and same guy picked up the phone, pretended to be the manager and very sarcastically said "oh no please do go on." I was stunned. I have no idea how someone like this works in any job requiring customer service or any job at all really. Just a miserable, despicable employee that acts like a middle school bully. Very likely the same employee that the person in the review right before this left. Nobody should ever go to this store. There are much better options who treat customers with respect and are actually helpful like Game & Video right on Vermont in the same area.

This place was so much fun! My family and I were visiting downtown LA, Little Tokyo for vacation…read more Exploring the area near the Hilton Doubletree, we saw one of the stores World 8. I guess it's their second location in LA? The store brought back so many memories. The outside display had the old school TVs with playing some N64 games. It was really cool. Inside the store, you saw all sorts of merchandise from Game Boy games, Dreamcast, Gamecube, N64, Nintendo, and even more current game systems like the PS5 and switch. There were so many collectibles inside the store. I ended up spending about 45 minutes just looking through all of their offerings. They have a lot of the older games for sale too. Many of them are used. I'd recommend taking a few pictures, and if possible, trying out some of the cartridges if you can, before leaving just to make sure everything works! It was a fun store to browse and look around. There was even a poster of the songs from the Zelda Ocarina of Time on the wall. Really cool place! I'd recommend stopping by the store if you're in the area and like video games!

He wasn't like that when I talk to him From my experience when I entered the store, he was just busy looking at the computer. What I did to past the time was browse the games I did saw a couple that I wanted and pick up three of them at the time so when I was ready to pay, I asked the guy if he takes Apple Pay he said yes Then I asked him questions about the Nintendo 64 games for super smash Bros and super Mario 64 he said those are not real. Those are authentic, I told him the games I wanted for transformers, he was about to go to a different section that I didn't found it at so when I realize what he was doing I told him not there and then I showed him where I found it and then yeah so I'm not sure what's up with that Same thing for the 360s and the PlayStation 2 games until I showed them where it was. I guess it might. He has a bad memory of where it is. I'm not sure. I saw more of luck review and if it is true that he is not passion and that depress then yeah you're not wrong. Like what's the whole point of working there if your don't like gaming but when I first saw him and when I asked him the question, he didn't look depressed. He look normal Besides that him repeating for the games and asking if it's yours, that's crazy like one he probably doesn't see the price on the cover or two. He has a very bad memory. But damn, that's crazy way different from my experience when I went there for the first time I guess go on your own risk or don't go For me, the only reason I went here is because I was far away from home and I was gonna go to Ross and I want to look at the area they have any retro games around the area and I saw this location so like why not and headed at that location the price is iffy, but I mean for the games they had the box I can't complain And since he's not passionate for the games, I mean, I don't really care. I just want the games I grew up with and dip Ahh and the only reason I am re-editing my review is because I saw the notification of seeing 266 people from 5 days ago and 139 people seeing my review now witch is the first and never expected anyone reading my review Hope it's help
