Service was great. Knowledgable staff. The food was superb. Scallops were tasty, and accompanied with a delicious aoli. My steak was cooked to perfection - medium rare, my parents has medium and again it was exactly as you'd expect. Dessert was sweet without being too strong, and went perfectly with a double espresso. There's also a nice selection of spirits for the end of the meal, so a frangelico and a whiskey were also appreciated. I can't recommend it enough. Price was good. Plenty of other local bars around to nip to after. Happy customer!

The main did come quickly after I'd finished the starter though to be fair. The food was delicious - I went for the express lunch, and a variety of cheeks - pork cheek to start, beef cheek for main. Both were full of flavour, soft, succulent and fell apart when cut into. Whilst it was superb quality food, I would have liked a little more in terms of portion size, especially with the starter. Overall a great lunch and experience - definitely one to visit again, but the small issues are the reason for giving it 4 not 5.

The lamb chops were undercooked and clearly not handled with proper care. In our opinion, the meat was frozen and was not left out to thaw properly which ended up in the food being raw. As a result, I have been extremely ill, had to go to the doctors and unable to work. This incident has caused significant disruption to my life and livelihood. I strongly urge Toros to review their food handling and preparation procedures to ensure this does not happen to anyone else. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to others! Ruined date night! Not worth the £61 I paid for a starter and 2 mains! Also did not provide free tap water for the table!! Also, they do not take card payments, they expect the bill to be paid in cash. I didn't have cash and they said that I could bank transfer the money to which they gave me someone's bank details and after I had transferred the money, they rang this person to make sure that the money had gone through. This whole experience was very shady and on the lines of tax evasion!!!!!!

After waiting almost an hour for the food to arrive. We were disappointed with the presentation. Daughter's chicken was part cooked. Both meals were cold. The fries were also cold. Daughter then looked closer at her meal and realised there was no bacon. Managed to get the attention of a member of staff. Complained about the food not being cooked properly, pointed out that the description on menu stated "burger, chicken, bacon, cheese, pulled pork, pickles and onion rings" however the meal we were given lacked cheese, pickles and bacon. The member of staff apologised and took both meals away. The same staff member returned shortly after with the SAME meal. Daughter's chicken was STILL raw!!! I was annoyed, upset and disappointed. The raw chicken would have contaminated the rest of the meal. I had fully expected a completely replaced burger. Alas not. As a softer, when the food was returned I was told that chef was sorry and that the meal could be half price! Totally annoyed. I went to the serving counter where I was ignored by 3 staff refusing to give me eye contact. Eventually 1 came over. I explained the situation. Said I was happy to pay for my granddaughter's hot dog, the extra portion of fries and the drinks. However I would NOT pay for the disgusting burgers. The environment was clean. Temperature freezing. He was wonderful! Friendly, engaging and funny. Made us all feel welcomed and relaxed. Asked and answered all questions. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything cooked just how we ordered it. Had additional sides to accompany main course, which were incredibly generous portions. Not rushed, but also not waiting ages for food. Complimentary glass of bubbly for my birthday, which was very thoughtful. It was a very special evening. Highly recommend, especially for a special event.
