Let me tell you about my worst experience from Nandos ever. I've been a massive advocate of Nandos for over 15 years and could have easily spent more then £20000 at various stores. I ordered my food today at 1:45 and understood there would be a 30/40 minute delivery. I accepted the additional time as I literally live 2 maybe 300 meters away. I got the notification saying my order was out for delivery and seeing that the rider hadn't moved for 20 minutes I figured there could be something wrong I hit the call rider button and here is a summary of what happened. - called driver, driver said he never worked for Nandos or deliveroo - I called Nandos customer service, 1st girl hung up, 2nd person the call failed and the 3rd person dealt with my query. - Eriksen the 3rd agent, offered a refund of £6, which is poor seeing as the food arrived cold and half the contents were spilled in the bag Or the wrappers were ripped. - the driver who delivered at 3.05pm apologised and said he only just got the order and apologised for the ripped outer bag. All in all this has to be the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. At least at McDonald's or kfc you expect some poor service as they are priced accordingly, but Nandos talk about a rolls Royce level priced product and deliver a Skoda. I paid £50-60 for cold food, ripped bags on the corn on a cob and spilled chips and then Eriksen offered me £6. I'm sorry if you think that's good enough but it ain't. On the call I told Eriksen don't bother delivering the food and give me a full refund and it was obvious when the delivery driver arrived you pushed someone else's order to the side to get this over and charge for an absolute dog hit dinner. Now I have my nieces looking at me thinking this is what Nandos is all about. Yes I do want compensation, what you delivered was probably good for a homeless person (and that's no putting down homeless people) but when you pay that sum of money for absolute tripe I expect nothing but a full refund. Please let me know what you will be offering. Genuinely can't believe what you have delivered today and the level of excuses, the hang ups and the lies you have told me. This branch of Nando's is in a good position in Leicester, it is located a few minutes walk away from the King Power Stadium, home to Leicester City Football Club, it is also in a decent complex which includes a cinema. I called in here after watching Manchester City's excellent performance, in which we defeated Leicester City 2-0, wanting to get some food after the game after the not so decent selection inside the stadium its-self while waiting for the traffic around the stadium to go down. If you're lucky, you might find a match programme or two which someones left behind, which I did, which was a hand souvenir worth £3.50 each. As expected, it does seem to get slightly busy on match-days, so perhaps this store could do with some sort of expansion as it isn't of a large enough nature in my opinion to satisfy the potential demand. The staff did seem nice enough, and the service time was average, my food took about 20 minutes to arrive which was usual for other branches, quite decent considering I visited straight after the match ended, without having to wait for a table either. The quality of my food was OK - the mash tasted like your standard frozen, cheap mash you'd get from certain places but the rest of it was okay, the portion of chips was decent and they did taste fresh and not preheated, the chicken was cooked to satisfactory level however their was a slight amount of excess sauce. This is pretty much your average branch of Nando's, it isn't a fantastic branch, nor is it a terrible one either, some aspects to improve could be to increase the amount of seating, perhaps try to reduce the service time down a little and to slightly improve the quality of all menu items from a satisfactory level to a good/excellent one in terms of the chicken and a drastically improved one, in regards to the "creamy mash", introducing free wi-fi to this store would also be a bonus for when the signal is quite dreadful, which is often the case on a match-day with so many people trying to use it at once - but overall this branch is decent/satisfactory in a handy location to warrant a three-star rating. read more

I seriously heart their chicken caesar salad. Jeffrey is right, I always thought this place was Portuguese and I can tell you it is anything but Mexican. I really, really, really wish they would bring it to the west coast because this place would squash other similar restaurants like Stonefire Grill, etc. The peri-peri sauce is good (except for the lemon and herb...a bit blah) and I recommend the medium if you are a bit of a sissy like me. The 1/4 chicken meal is good, esp when you get it with their tasty fries. This place gets a bit crazy around lunch rush with all the huge families coming in, esp during the weekend, so I would recommend waiting till around 2. Love it though and the staff has always been super friendly. Can't wait for another fix when I go back for a visit! read more

Your usual Nandos - chicken in peri-peri sauce. Can be a bit dry but just get some olive oil and douse some sauce. Tends to get busy at weekends and had to queue about 5-10mins to get to the counter. read more

Good points: buzzin, food, seating, friendly staff, lighting. Not so good points: cappuccino, cleanliness, not quiet. Overall had a good meal, was very busy and had run out of two main dishes. If you like a quite restaurant where the staff make a fuss of you don't come here. If you like a lively place with half decent food then this is your place. read more

I am very happy with this experience at Nando's because the food was amazing and I would definitely visit again in the future, the taste of the food was really nice. I keep seeing reviews listing Nandos under everything from Mexican to American, however they advertise and have branded themselves as being Portuguese, so I'm sticking with that. As a yank, I really didn't know what to expect. Chicken places have come and gone in the U.S. Kentucky Fried Chicken [KFC] still survives, the Boston Market came and went. But Nandos makes the common chicken stand far out. The flame-grilled chicken is served via a number of ways with a gradient list of hot levels which is fantastic. Though the sauce is a little sour for my taste buds (I'm used to a slightly sweeter sauce), it's great none-the same. This chain promises locales across the UK, but to me, it tastes nothing like the fast food crap which is normally served at U.S. establishments. I wish Nandos would start marketing more than just their Peri-peri sauces here in the U.S. (even though it's a South African company!). So far there's two places in Washington, D.C. Alas, with all of our laws, acts and preliminaries, they'd probably f*ck it up if it went too big. NANDOS update: It's AFRICAN, not Portuguese. Their "Peri-peri" sauce is of African origin. Food is nearly the same in all restaurants, so I will comment on the service. My friend and I ordered at the same time, it wasn't so busy and her food came 10 mins after we sat down. However, I wasn't lucky and I had to wait for over 40 minutes to get my food. Throughout this time noone even bothered to come and explain to me why my portion is taking so long.
