The employee who helped us (I missed her name but she says everyone calls her the crazy cat lady) was very knowledgeable. She walked us through all the options and gave us tips on switching the cats to new food. When we left she hooked us up with a bunch of samples for different brands. She also explained their food return policy, which made us feel super confident buying a pricey food (if your cats won't eat the food you can exchange it for a different one and they donate the open food to a shelter).

I gave the coupon that by the way had no expiry date on it, to the young man doing cash, he showed it to the owner who proceeded to frown and say over and over "oh we don't use those anymore and we haven't for years" which I thought was weird as she just gave it to me last year. I don't like to cause a scene so I asked her if it had expired and was she not going to honor it, and she just kept saying "we don't use those anymore", so clearly I was not going to get my discount. I will definitely not be going back there, if they don't want people to use their coupons, don't give them out. I tried to give this place no stars but the rating wouldn't let me, 1 star is too many.

I've got to admit I was a tad bit jelly wishing kitties had adorable baked treats but I understand the diets are entirely different. The layout of the store was easy to navigate with kitties in the back - saw what? Nobody puts kitty in a corner - just kidding! I highly recommend the CatIt line of toys she ball tracks - they build together and are always a winner with my kitty klan! They had a great selection of Oilers jerseys and bandanas for fury friends and collars and tags galore! There's a clearance section in the back left corner of the store just past the public washrooms. Be sure to sign up for their rewards program - first Tuesday of the month is 10% off regularly priced items. I prefer this store to Pet Smart on so many levels…read more Their service is better. Staff is helpful and friendly, and they'll engrave your pet tags for you. I believe they also do grooming in the back, but I haven't used them yet. Price and selection of foods seems to be better. This is another service I don't need as much, but it's nice to find the furchildren nice little goodies like Turducken wet food. What I appreciate them most about this place is the quality and price of their merchandise. I noticed the price of their cat trees have gone up, but they are still far superior to Pet Smart. Pet smart 'stack' their levels, where as the ones you buy here are 'staggered'. They sell buckle and better breakaway collars for less, with no stupid bells on them. Oh--and check out their awesome selection of all natural dog-treats!
