This Petsmart is the best! My very fluffy white Malamute, "Precious" had another beautiful grooming by Lee. He does a very thorough job. Precious always leaves looking spectacular. I always order "the works" but Lee makes sure to apply any coupons. Precious is absolutely in love with Lee. And Lee adores her! All the groomers there are so sweet and caring. You can see they love their furry clients. And that it is much more than a job to them. Precious looks forward to her next grooming with Lee. And her toy! read more

I have been a faithful client of Pet Smart Grooming Spruce Grove, AB. On time and never had to cancel any appointments for my dog. But the service my family experienced at my last encounter was poor and very disrespectful. My dog had an appointment for 1430. I called 15minutes to the appointment, asking if it's possible I could come a little later because my little one was still sleeping (If they couldn't I would've been there for 1430). They accommodated over the phone. Inquired how late I would be. I stated 1500 I should be there by the latest. I woke up my child, packed everyone in the car (in the rain) and brought my dog to their appointment for 1500 (on the dot). As I was showing up with two young children in my hand and a hyper, excited dog, I heard my phone ringing but couldn't grab it. I walked into Pet Smart Grooming just for the manager to tell me that since I was 15minutes late for scheduled appointment, they can't take me. They stated that they were too overwhelmed and I was communicated to by a new employee there false expectations. So, I challenged it, stating since it was a mistake done on the company, shouldn't they be the ones to make this work and fix it? The manager ignored me and pretty much told me to pound sand, throwing this new employee under the bus in the process. Instead of taking her responsibility as proper management should. I see this as a very toxic environment. The new employee wasn't as much at fault as I would say management there was. I recommend that management there go on some people skill courses, because they treated a great customer poorly. There wasn't even an offer to rebook. If this manager was using this as an opportunity to teach this new employee a lesson, I'd suggest that that new employee go elsewhere for employment because it's just straight up toxic. This new employee I thank you for being so kind and accommodating. But I still would highly recommend to not go to this location for your dog grooming. I communicated to the management on that day that they lost a customer and that I will not be going there again. Our pets feel the toxic and it isn't a safe place for them either. read more

Their grooming department is the worst. I had an appointment today for my dog. They have a sign posted on the door at crotch level that there is only one pet family in the the grooming area at a time, we didn't see it. The staff member was rude and snarky letting us know. There are two stickers on the floor for where to stand 6' apart. If you expect me to drop off my dog after you are rude to me you have another thing coming. Seeing the other reviews that staff and management need an attitude adjustment I can see why. I will never book a grooming here again. read more

We welcomed a new bundle of joy into our family. A new kitty. Well we needed to stop in to grab some necessities. Unfortunately we had to make a return first and the woman at the counter was less than pleasant or personable. We did part of the return and went to shop for our goods. Then we find what we need with the lack of selection in this store and head to the till to pay. The same woman and just as rude as before. Sadly we left and found only part of what we needed. We picked up the rest of our list from Canadian Tire instead. Next time I need kitty litter I'll be heading to Petvalu. Honestly avoid this location. read more

Getting better. Can usually get help, especially if you ask for help. A lot of stuff cramed into a too small store. Clean place. Kitty adoptions on weekends. Unable to get anyone to unlock an enclosure so I could get at a $460.00 dog containment system. Repeated efforts and calls for assistance made by checkout but no-one showed up. Left without item. Brought our dog in for a wash and nails. We picked him up full of white dog hair, our dog a is chocolate brown cheasapeake. His nails are all sheared different lengths. 3.5 hours for this. Not worth the money especially since we have to wash him at home to get all the white fur off of him. Very disappointed read more

Very friendly staff who don't hesitate to get to know you and your pet. Always very welcoming and helpful. The only 2 issues I've had is the PetSmart trainer being rude to me and my dog because we don't train with treats and the other customers not paying attention to their dogs in the store. read more

I used the pet grooming service Numerous times. Was satisfied for the most part. My last visit was a nightmare. The manager has no customer service skills at all! I was dealing with a groomer when she stuck her nose in and said my dog needed to be shaved because she had some matting. My dog was groomed 3 weeks before and had some Mats. She is Bichon and poodle getting her winter coat. I said I would pay extra to get the groomer to work the Mats out. She said the groomer could work on them for 15 minutes and if that didn't work, I could take her home. I agreed then as she was walking away, she mumbled that I did not take care of my dog! Needless to say, I lost it!! She is the rudest person I have ever encountered in a customer service role. I took my 2 dogs there religiously and now, I won't spend a nickel there. I took my dog today to a different groomer and no shaving, my little girl is happy, beautiful and not shaved Everyone, do you and your beloved pet a favour, stay away from Pet Smart Spruce Grove!!! This is the worst pet store around, the staff are rude and uneducated. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Maysen who refused to sell my 11 year old daughter a $4.00 goldfish because she was "uncomfortable" with the 1/2" fish living alone in a 10 gallon tank.
