I was a little worried because for the first hour she was there she was almost out of camera view hugging the wall, but then she hopped right in there and followed the daycare staff around most of the rest of the few hours I left her. The second time I left her for a half day. She whined and looked back at where the other dogs were like she wanted to go back and play. Like, please don't make me leave. Can't you see I'm having fun. The last time I left her was for my second COVID shot and it hit me hard so I wound up leaving her for the whole day. No complaints from her. She was a tired and happy pup, as per usual. Now she seems to spend a quarter of her time lounging, a quarter of her time sniffing other dogs and half following the staff around because apparently mop is best toy. After trying one other daycare and having a terrible experience, I will definitely be relying on Dogtopia going forward.

I do wish there was more affordable dog daycare and boarding options downtown. I have a French Bulldog who is medium energy. He came back totally pooped. If you need a quiet evening, daycare is the way to go. The staff seem patient and helpful. The dogs are divided into two separate rooms for the big ones and the smaller ones. They have a nap time from 12-2 to give the dogs a break during the day. They have rubberized mats to ease the joints of the doggos on their four feet all day. There's a webcam you can check during the day too if you're also feeling separation anxiety.
