Dining in South Beach, especially on Lincoln Rd is more of a chore than a treat. Most places hound you with their specials and offer bland food and others just don't seem appealing, but for me, if I have go dine in SOBE I'm going to Spris. For starters- I've always been fortunate to have great service here. It's definitely not an easy task to find a place to be served probably on Lincoln Rd. Their hand-tossed pizzas are where it's at. The dough is soft and the perfect size for sharing, maybe for you, but I can't eat one on my own. They are made fresh for you when you order. My go-to here is always the margarita pizza. I love the fresh basil and the taste of the sauce. It has just the right amount of sweet to it. Taking a bite of their pizza is like taking a bite out of pure bliss; the soft dough has a slight crunch to it at the bottom from being baked in a wood oven, the fresh ingredients , and the Miami atmosphere make for a tasty and fun experience. read more

My senior class had our senior brunch here and it was amazing! The service was quick and the servers/waitress were very polite and attentive. the pizza was absolutely delicious! The location was great for pictures. We sat outside but we didn't have to worry about the miami heat because of the fans. The owner was super nice. Coming to Spris several times, I always wonder what's the allure here, that draws a consistent crowd. The place enjoys a healthy traffic of diners, and when you look around it is apparent that everyone is, for the most part having a good time. It is probably a combination of several factors, an unbeatable location, a decent menu, with enough choices to ensure everyone is satisfied. For me, it's the pizzas, much like their sister location in the Gables, the choices are pretty good. So you add up that if you find yourself here, you are most likely in good company, or in a good mood to enjoy a nice dinner in a great corner of the world and at a pretty reasonable price. The service is pretty standard, the dismal lack of attention that we have become accustomed to here in Miami, but when you throw all factors into the mix, the balance is usually positive - therefore: I am a fan ! read more

I came here for dinner with 5 others on a Friday night. While there was a small line of people waiting to be seated, we were placed at a table for 6 within about 5 minutes. We ordered a few bottles of wine and a few appetizers and pizzas for the table to share. The service was good, everything I tried on this night was very tasty, and the bill came to about $20 each with tip included (not bad, considering all we consumed and considering this is Lincoln Road). If you're looking for a full-service pizza restaurant in this area, I'd recommend this place highly. I know I can rely on Spris for a solid experience! As a pizza aficionado, you must know that of course, I get the pizza. I've been here a few times and can definitely vouch for the fact that Spris has some pretty good pizza! I just get the typical Margherita; it's light, thing, crispy, and delicious. I can easily devour an entire pie by myself since the the crust is so light; I get the perfect "full" feeling that isn't overwhelming -- it's just right. My dad gets the tuna salad and my stepmom gets the gluten-free margherita and they both love those plates. For dessert, I get the gluten-free chocolate lava cake. Now I must say, I am NOT the type of person to order gluten-free stuff; this was once the table's choice and it is now a personal favorite. It is SO DARN GOOD. Chocolately, rich, hot, and absolutely perfect. Do not be afraid of the "gluten-free" label! Service and prices are good. Seating is a little tight as it is with most places on Lincoln Rd. For some reason I've this belief all restaurants on Lincoln Road are a tourist trap, meaning the service and food will always suck simply because they can get away with it. Well, Spris proved my assumption wrong. Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday night after 10pm. Or maybe it was the slight buzz from the Deftones concert I was still experiencing. Either way, I was satisfied with both the service and food from Spris. We must have gotten lucky because our waitress was wonderful! Pleasant and efficient. We ordered their rosemary bread to share. There is something to be said about the burnt taste of bread/dough from a wood burning brick oven. Delicious. Despite wanting to go the healthy route I opted for the Tutta Carne (ham, sausage, and salami). Holy moly it was one of the best pizzas I've had in a while! I'll admit to normally sticking with my Anthony's or Sir Pizza options, but this pie took my taste-buds by surprise, and in all the right ways. My fiance ordered the Supremo sandwich (chicken, brie, spinach, pesto), which is almost as big as the pizza I ordered. I took a bite and it was a mild flavor, but the quality of ingredients seemed better than I expected. Also, I normally never (ever) feel dishes while dining out need salt, but there was a salt factor missing in this sandwich. Side note: A while back I went to the Coral Gables location and wasn't a fan of it then, so at least the Lincoln Road location seems to know what they are doing. Love!!! Been coming here since 2004 when I was just visiting Miami. I would always make a point to go to Spris. I have been living here for almost 2 years now & I went back the other night. Fresh, amazing, & delicious! Salads are yummy & you have plenty of options. I always get the pine nuts & goat cheese. The pizza is my favorite in Miami. I'm from NY so the pizza here has been quite underwhelming, but this is by far my favorite. My friend & I shared one with mushrooms, artichoke, and basil. Can't wait to go back. Been here twice already and both experiences have been quite awesome! The service is so prompt. We sit indoors because true miamians know how hot n humid it is outside. For appetizer I recommend the goat cheese and portobello salad with sun dried tomatos. Their pizzas are so delish and thin I dont think you can go wrong with any you choose. Upgrading to 5 stars.... Ate there last night with a group visiting from NY (so they know their pizza!). We had 6 adults and a baby who was cranky from the heat. The hostess had no problem setting up our group inside including a high chair for the baby. The waitress was awesome - perfect level of attentiveness. She sensed that we were busy catching up and didn't interrupt, but checked in frequently enough to refill drinks and see how we were doing. Pizzas were FABULOUS! We had two standbys off of the happy hour menu - margherita and genovese. Also had the spinaci e ricotti and the bandieri, which featured arugula. Both of the veggie pies came with copious amounts of shaved fresh parmesan. We were in PIZZA HEAVEN. It totally met wtih the New Yorkers' approval. Best of all, after paying, we were not hustled out to turn the table. It was a really great experience. Probably my favourite place in Miami for people watching. Lincoln Mall is full of weird and wonderful people, and I love grabbing a pizza & a beer here and watching them all pass by. Between 5.30-7pm you can get one of 3 pizzas for $5.30-$7 depending on the time you order! So time it right and you've got yourself a bargain evening meal. Included in the deal you can have margherita, pepperoni or one other which I can't quite recall. The Pepperoni pizza was absolutely delicious, the base was perfectly thin & crispy. I would give this place 0 stars if yelp would let me. I am normally very reasonable, but this place made an unforgivable mistake: a HAIR was baked into the bread they served. I spotted it, tugged on it a bit, left it partially on the bread to just convince myself this was a real 5 inch hair. It was. My own hair is black. This was a long white or blonde hair, I guess that's who bakes the bread, or someone else entirely. Who knows. I called the waitress, told her I didn't want to embarrass her, and told her and showed her the hair on the bread. She took it and said she would show the manager. She came back and said the hair was blonde and that she was confused, because everyone in the kitchen has black hair. My family's hair is black by the way. I asked if they got the bread from outside, she said no. She said that the hair probably fell from the air above and landed on the bread. Is that how it was baked into the bread? The wind just blows hairs onto a bread loaf and bakes itself into it? By the way, the bread was stale, it sucked. I ordered a quinoa tabouli salad. It was ok, but clearly the cucumbers cut long ago, that's how the salad was so watery and mushy. It was edible, around $13.50. I ordered a pizza with tomatoes, olives and cheese. The pizza was just ok, but unfortunately I found it hard to consume it given after my discovery of hair in my food. Pizza was around $12. The biggest issue with this place was the handling of the mistake. The waitress told me that the manager was "in his office right now". And that's the reason why he couldn't do anything about the hair. The waitress proceeded me to bill everything in full, with no real apology, instead just a denial of the mistake. I told the waitress I thought this place should care more about its food and its reputation. The manager doesn't care about this restaurant or it's food. Neither should you. Let him stay in his office and count his money till there's none left. Go elsewhere, please. read more

The best thin crust pizza in South Miami. It's very close to the the pizza in Italy. I personally like the Diavalio -- Cheese with imported Italian Salami pizza. When I use to work in Lincoln Road, I use to eat here regularly with a colleague from Europe. He always liked their pizza so I assumed it was very close to the kind served in Italy. The cheese was fresh and very good, the crust was tasty, but the sauce wasn't anything special and there wasn't enough of it. But the cheese really helped raise the score. Caesar: I was honestly more impressed with the Caesar. Typically when I get salads to go I order the dressing on the side so the lettuce doesn't get soggy, but I forgot to do so. I was a bit worried, but the salad was so fresh and crisp that there was no sogginess and it was great. Really nice creamy dressing and a huge portion. Deff a great Caesar. Last nights evening was made perfect by stopping at this wonderful Resturant!! We were seated outside in the patio area. It's got a feel that's very south beach. Super awesome, super friendly staff here. I don't know what was better the waiter or the food. They start you off with warm bread and balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The bread is tasty, but try not to get full off of it you'll want to leave some room for the pizza! We ordered salads too, The Cesar salad was tasty but there was no Parmesan to me and I added chicken so the plate was filled with it. Luckily my partner ordered the Peta avocado salad and when we combined the two together it was perfect! We had the Salmon Pizza with the kale and mozzarella it was DELICIOUS every-bite was perfect! The real treat of the night was our server Jorge he was AMAZING and I mean that sincerely. First he combined two tables to more comfortably seat our party of four. Then the really handsome bus boy was really thoughtful too. Before it started raining they moved us further in the umbrella so we wouldn't get drenched. Jorge was fast, friendly, and lively throughout the night as he teased us about the weather during our stay. But he added some very personal touches you just never get anywhere. like how he recommended other cool restaurants. And after our meal he was kind enough to bring us lemon in a cheesecloth with warm water to help digest the food. Finally to finish the evening he brought us a complimentary dessert of tiramisu that was ohh so good! Love this restaurant. It's real authentic Italian food. It's usually crowded which means you might have to wait for a table and your food but it's worth it. It's nice to sit outside and people watch. Simon was awesome and made a very modest and delish meal suggestion when i told him i wasn't very hungry ( Bruschetta topped with cheese ). He was attentive, friendly, and professional. Qualities not easy to find in servers here in SOBE. Dragon brought out a fresh water dish for my doggy and said hi, nice touch since he wasn't my server. Spris is one of the few gems remaining on Lincoln Rd. Unfortunately 90% of Lincoln roads eateries are overpriced tourist traps rife with $30 entrees that are about as tasty as TV dinners were in the 80's. I'm giving the place 4 stars because of Simon and Dragon. I've had better food at 4* restaurants but everyone knows that service makes or breaks the experience. Cheers! read more
