The quality of the work did not match the price we were quoted, and communication was consistently poor. Days would go by without updates, and the workers never followed a consistent schedule. During the project, our block wall was damaged by a tractor, along with our plumbing cleanouts. The crew was not respectful of our property, and we had to meet with the owner three separate times to address our concerns. He also ordered turf without providing samples or obtaining our approval beforehand. The company was supposed to complete two concrete pads, but the work was canceled three times because no one showed up. The concrete subcontractor informed us he had not been paid, despite us already giving Trenton a deposit for the job. We fired Trenton. The job was not completed. We are currently waiting on a refund that was mutually agreed upon, yet Trenton has stopped returning calls. He told us it would be ready over a month ago, and we still have not received it. Poor quality work with no integrity. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend steering clear of this business. If we had done our research we would have found a landscaper that would do really high quality work for less.

After reading a review left from MIA landscape company Zia Valley reached out to me. Mario came out, listened, offered a reasonable estimate after we decided on trees and was hired. He kept good communication and showed up when he said they would. They did a great job, removed 2 shrubs, planted 5 trees and a shrub, and finished by making sure my irrigation system was operating efficiently. Great service & reasonable costs these guys are winners.

They were booking appts for estimates so we grabbed the first open date - the end of March. Ernie arrives at the appointed time - I show pics to give him a rough idea of what I'm looking for. Nothing radical, mainly trees for shade, shrubs to fill some empty areas and trimming up what's there. Then it's into the back yard to explain further and discuss options. He listened, took notes & some measurements. I got some great ideas to consider with my project. Let him know I was past the planning phase and ready to get started. Estimate should be ready in a few days and he'd send it over. Great - I'll have a nice looking backyard, some shade and all before the heat sets in. That was the last time I heard from anyone @ ABQ Landscape. 10 days goes by, leave message asking if the estimate was done. About a month and half later still no response to that or any other messages I've left. I guess they've got all the business they need and didn't want mine. Unfortunately there seems to be an over abundance of contractors in ABQ that think they're doing people a favor by being in business and customers will take that abuse. No, if you don't respond within a reasonable time I look for the next business. With this one you might want to save time by looking for someone else.

Yea...that was my unfortunate case when I finally decided to reach out to contractor who could help me with it. After researching contractors online, I called ABQ Landscaping about having someone come out to my property to take a look at potential irrigation/sprinkler leakages and problems with sprinkler system that went off in the middle of the night and they were able to get someone (this was very different from many contractors I reached out to where I felt like I was being put in the backburner by scheduling me a week or more out and they didn't want to give me much priority). Ernie answered my call and did what he promised me which was to give me more details about the time the technician would stop by. He was also prompt and upfront about potential costs/work that may entail. On the day of, Alfredo showed up on time. He was courteous and knowledgeable. Despite me not knowing much about the home (since I recently moved in and not knowing what the previous owner had done...other than everything was dating back to way before 2000s..), Alfredo not only was able to help me identify problem, offer solutions and, in the case of outdated system like my sprinkler control system, recommended the work that could be done as well. Not only that, on the same day, I was able to get some estimates, the breakdown of the work that needed to be done...and get started on the work that was agreed on in addition to the check up. Initially, I thought the work would just me to show me around the remote control and fix very minor thing for an hour, but I was able to get much more from their visit. Ernie was able to have Alfredo stay over to work for the whole remainder of the day to fix and upgraded (where needed) the yard sprinkler/irrigation system at my place. Very happy with the work they did (I'm sure my neighbors were thrilled too!) and will use them for this type of work (landscaping, irrigation, sprinkler) again!

Aldo dug up and changed…read moreout my old sprinkler water system in my backyard about three months ago when I had a valve that was broken and wouldn't stop running. He did the job in about two hours on a Saturday. He was unable to fix the valve because it was a very old system. He was able to fix install the new plumbing correctly and it's been working well ever since. They charged me a reasonable amount in my opinion as sprinkler work is not easy and most plumbers do not work on automatic sprinkler systems. It is a very specialized job. Last week I noticed a leak in my front automatic watering system with another worn out valve. I called SOS right away and didn't even get another estimate this time around because I was so impressed with Aldo's work in my backyard. When he opened my sprinkler system box he found another leak there too! He was able to come out in less than a week, dig out my old pipes and valves and replace them for the same reasonable price. I'm super glad that I found SOS for my automatic sprinkler systems through Yelp. Cheers!

Todd, who gave the estimate, was knowledgeable and clearly explained the placement and how it worked. I also got an estimate for 2 cottonwood trees to be planted at a later date, and that job was just finished. Again, the work was careful and efficient and I was given clear information on how to care for the trees, especially as they are taking root. I will definitely call Lannen's again when I'm ready to further landscape the yard. They are excellent in every regard.
