Being new to Corrales, we've had to largely depend on online customer reviews when hiring contractors, which has for the most part been hit-or-miss. We hoped the glowing reviews we read about AMG were true and I'm so please to say, they were! We hired AMG to remove a dying lawn and dead trees, plant new trees with irrigation, and lay both gravel and brick pavers in several areas around the house. Alfonso came to our home initially and provided us with a fair quote, then came back a second time, at our request, when we needed to make adjustments. In the time leading up to the work, he responded promptly to our phone calls and assisted us with the purchase of trees and materials. And once the job got underway, he kept us informed and stuck to the schedule throughout the weeklong process. His crew was hard-working and efficient, polite, and always on time. The result is a yard we can love and appreciation that, for us, Alfonso made this process as painless and stress-free as possible. AMG is the most honest, responsive, punctual, competent landscape contractor I have hired since moving to NM. Alfonso (I assume the "A" in AMG) is alway present and closely manages his jobs. That is exactly what I demand from contractors. At this time, I can't showcase AMGs excellent work because everything is below ground. Come back in 10 years and you will see a park in 4-Hills. If you live in 4-Hills, you know that practically everything you plant (other than Ponderosas and other messsy plants) will die in 5-years because our soil (dirt) is basically concrete. The canopy will overcome the roots and and the plant will die. AMG basically dug large "container" pots for planting 7 trees (4x3 feet holes filled with synthetic top soil, 10 cu yds or so). They also added irrigation to each planting site and replaced some messy crushed rock xeriscape. All of this was done by AMG to my specifications, perfectly, on schedule, on time and on budget. read more

Cannot say enough positive things about Alfonso and his crew! Very responsive, professional, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile. Alfonso was the only one out of (5) landscaping companies who came out to my house when he said he would and gave me a quote the next day. I waited for the other quotes to come in and although they were less expensive, I went with AMG because they were the most professional and responsive AND Alfonso was willing to negotiate and explain the difference in pricing. I had told Alfonso that we needed the work done within a 2-week period for my daughter's graduation party we were having at our house that included a stamped concrete patio, artificial grass and a large retaining wall. They got everything done in time and even helped with replacing some existing dying sod on the other side of my yard! Bad businessman and unprofessional. I called and talked to Alfonso and he agreed to come by my house the following day for an estimate. He asked that I text him my address which I did and confirmed the time. He never responded back to me. I texted again after the appointment time and no answer. If he didn't want the job, then be a man and say so. Don't waste my time waiting for you to arrive with no explanation. I called his phone and it said the voicemail had not been set up yet. When I spoke to him initially, there were crying and screaming kids in the background and I couldn't even hear him. He wasn't very friendly and didn't even bother to go outside or to another room which he could have on a cell phone. I don't believe the other 5 star ratings are even real. His demeanor and actions were opposite of what was said. read more
