Alfonso and his crew were fantastic through the entire process of redoing my entire backyard. I started with getting an estimate to redo my patio with stamped concrete, and putting in a retaining wall around the edges of my yard. Alfonso listened to what I was looking for and his estimate reflected what I was wanting. He sent me pictures of the process of laying out the wall and the patio during the times I could not be at home to see for myself and was willing to adjust when I asked. I ended up asking for a front patio be done as well, which had not been part of my plans. The morning they were set to pour concrete, he sent his crew extra early because I was worried there was a leak under where the concrete was going and he wanted to make sure I was happy and secure in knowing that there was not a leak. Once my original plans were complete, I asked for an estimate on putting in artificial turf for the remaining part of the yard and ended up going ahead and doing that part as well. Alfonso and his crew were responsive, respectful, and amazing at the work they do. The cuts to the blocks on the retaining wall are precise and accurate to follow the curves I was looking for. Each day the crew was out working, they put in hours of hard work and it is reflected in how amazing the yard looks now that they are done. They also cleaned up all the debris and dirt that accrued thoroughly. Alfonso was dead on with the accuracy of his estimates and while the entire project was expensive, Alfonso and his crew were worth every penny I spent on getting the entire backyard completely redone. I had originally left 5 stars, but after a few weeks of battling with some of the issues that resulted from the work done, I am coming back to lower the rating. Most of the issues have to deal with the irrigation system. Here is what is prompting the lowering: -instead of using the proper 7-wire sprinkler wire when moving the backflow preventer and valves a few feet away from their original position, they used two strands of 3-conductor wire. No more color coding! The splice was done under what are now concrete steps, so I can't get back there and fix it. -when pouring a concrete walkway, one of the stakes used to form the concrete punched a hole through a PVC irrigation line (thanks to JB Weld Water Weld to help me fix that one) -the irrigation lines were reconnected at random, leading to old condemned lines being activated, and water seeping in places it should not. One part of the "fix" was to bridge one line in the yard, rather than reconnecting properly right after the valve box. I am still fighting that problem, now having a leak that bubbles up at the edge of the house and the patio slab -despite a fair amount of money having been paid, they would not provide a proper edging in a small planting area as I had requested. They insisted on using metal edging, which I refused, and I had to get a refund for that part of the project. -the flagstone for the front courtyard is two-toned, with a stark color difference between the two areas So, what started like a great experience ended up being incomplete and of questionable workmanship. read more

Cannot say enough positive things about Alfonso and his crew! Very responsive, professional, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile. Alfonso was the only one out of (5) landscaping companies who came out to my house when he said he would and gave me a quote the next day. I waited for the other quotes to come in and although they were less expensive, I went with AMG because they were the most professional and responsive AND Alfonso was willing to negotiate and explain the difference in pricing. I had told Alfonso that we needed the work done within a 2-week period for my daughter's graduation party we were having at our house that included a stamped concrete patio, artificial grass and a large retaining wall. They got everything done in time and even helped with replacing some existing dying sod on the other side of my yard! I have committed to using AMG on installing a putting green later this year and highly recommend using them for all landscaping needs in the future. I recently hired Alfonso and his team to fence in 3.5 acres of my property, build an access gate, remove a dead tree and replace with a new tree, repair and add new sprinkler zones, and replace a front porch post. The fencing had to be done quickly in order not to trap wild horses on my property and Alfonso's crew worked non-stop to successfully accomplish this. The fence and gate are both sturdy and attractive -- even my neighbors are complimenting the work. The tree removal and replacement were carefully done by hand, making sure to preserve other plantings and not ruin my courtyard wall. And Alfonso even found the specific tree that I wanted -- last one in the city! It is rare to find someone whose primary goal is to ALWAYS make you happy with outcomes but that is what you will find with Alfonso and his crew. My front and back yard desperately needed an upgrade. I can't say enough good things about Alfonso and his team! He showed up exactly when he said he would, both for the estimate and to get the work started. He always got back to me and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. He transformed a weed-filled yard to a beautiful xeriscaped area. He also upgraded my irrigation system to an automatic one and improved the efficiency of the system. Alfonso and his crew were highly professional. They came on time, did the work that we had contracted to have done, and even went above and beyond in our opinion. We are so satisfied with the work they did. A LOT of dirt had to be hauled in and compacted, rocks added, dripper lines put in, plants and trees planted, concrete poured, and artificial grass put in and a water feature added. We had AMG replace a 65-foot concrete curb along a driveway, and install over 250 feet of pavers in our front yard. Alfonso and the team did an excellent job at a reasonable price.
