Had sprinkler valves that were 25 years old and needed replacing. John answered his phone immediately. Came out to my home in Trabuco Canyon and replaced all the valves in short order!! Guy knows his stuff. He may not be the cheapest in town, but did a quality job. Thanks John!!! read more

Been using them for years as they are the best in whatever they do. Would highly recommend them to anyone with sprinkler or drainage issues. read more

We've been customers of John's for years. His guys have come out for minor corrections and parts replacements as well as involved jobs like cutting the roots of an aggressive pepper tree out from around our sprinkler valves and replacing damaged pipes, too. Very honest and thorough service. Highly recommend. read more

The owner came out to do an Annual Sprinkler Inspection. Said to give report in 2 hrs. Took 1 week to send report. Wrong report and rejected by Fire Marshall. Don't answer phone or text. Bad business practice. Don't know what he is doing. DON'T do business. Took my money. read more

My sprinkler pipe leaked under the driveway- yikes But John and crew re- routed the pipes through garage saving lots of time and money not to have to break up or tunnel under driveway Great job and fair price Thank you so much! read more

I have used John Hurley and his crew for several projects around our house here in San Juan Capistrano. The teams are always on time, well organized, and get right to the work. There's almost no job that this team is not taking on for us, including landscaping, irrigation, and SprinklerSolutions. I can't say enough about John Hurley and his team. I recommend him highly. read more

John Hurley's team came out to repair a cut control wire. They got the job done quickly and for a good price. Thanks.

Does excellent work, but can't recommend due the absolute mess they make in residential situations. I don't understand how they can be so blind/inconsiderate. Be prepared to do a lot of clean-up work after they leave the job. Guess it's their commercial background? And it's not just the folks he hires, but John/the owner himself .... read more

After initially being impressed. When I noticed an issue later after a few months, we got the run around. Calls were returned sporadically promises made to drop by... Nada. Some of it could be our fault as we were not able to answer the infrequent call backs (uh... We have day jobs) but after 4 times trying I gave up. No Bueno for this firm! read more

Very dissatisfied with John Hurley for irrigation work. He didn't do the job correctly and didn't return to fix it. We had to hire another company... read more

I had a fence installed and the workers damaged the zone wiring to my sprinklers. I called John, and he came out and gave me a free estimate. He was knowledgeable, professional, and his pricing was reasonable. When his employee showed up, he was there to introduce him. His employee completed the job in a timely manner, and knocked on the door to have me check the work. I was well informed throughout the entire process. After he left, I noticed that I had a pipe leak, also a result of the fence installers. When John came by to pick up the check, I told him about the leak. He dug it up and repaired it while he was there. I would highly recommend this company. read more

The guys were great. They got here on time as promised and got to work really quick. Fixed a tricky issue where a tree root broke the irrigation pipes under the front walkway. They were great. Don't hesitate to use them. read more

John was great - showed up on time the day after I called for a bid. He and his crew made short work of an issue that would have taken me a couple days to fix myself. So far no leaks! read more

After years of fixing leaks here and there and generally having an old and inefficient system I decided it was time to get serious with fixing our sprinkler system. Got several estimates and not only was John in the ball park by far, he was prompt in responding, prompt in sending an estimate and when I decided to go with him, prompt to schedule. More than that it was clear he knew exactly what I wanted done without me having to explain it. The man knows what he's doing. He was able to make changes within our existing system. The job was done today. Pedro and Ernesto were on time, worked hard and did a fabulous job. My system is now not wasting water. When they were finished they gave me a "tour" of the changes and right in front of me adjusted the sprinkler heads exactly how I wanted them. The cost was NOT A PENNY over the estimate. I simply could not be happier with the work Sprinkler Solutions did for me. read more

Been using Sprinkler Solutions for a couple of years now on my last two houses for sprinklers. Very efficient crew and good work. Just had them install a landscape lighting system, and it's great. Five star business. read more

I had a major leak on one of my valves. Unfortunately it was behind several cypress trees. John gave me a fair fixed price for the job and it was completed as scheduled next business day. Very happy with the job and his employees. read more

John and Jacob did a great job repairing our sprinkler system. We highly recommend Sprinkler Solutions. Work was done on time and on budget. Great call company to call for your sprinkler needs. read more

John, the owner and his son Jacob came to my house today to fix some sprinkler issues I was having and to set my control box to the correct settings. My front yard had been flooded from being overwatered because the number of days and set time for watering wasn't set correctly when the control box was installed, and the front yard was basically mud. I thought I had a leak somewhere and was very alarmed! John took me to the box and educated me on how to control my watering for summer and winter months, changed the time according to daylight savings times, and how the box actually worked, and checked for leaks, which there were none. Actually, the box is pretty user friendly, but I really knew nothing about it. John listened to my concerns and treated my house as he would have his own. He is definitely a people person and very reassuring and calming. He takes the time you need to understand things. He didn't try to upsell me, as most do. He came the same day I called him to assess my concern and his son Jacob, then came later to fix my sprinklers the same day, and I was very impressed with John's service and pricing, very reasonable and timely. I did not have a chance to meet his son because I had an appointment, but I hope to in the future. I would recommend him to anyone! He delivers impeccable service. read more

I contacted sprinkler solutions after I had a horrible experience with OC sprinkler repair. John Hurley came out within the hour from the time I called him to check out my property. As promised, he sent me a quote via email the following day. He was priced very fairly in my opinion. Communication was great throughout the whole process and his crew got the job done speedily. They did a wonderful job putting the yard back together without a mess. John was kind enough to replace some much needed old sprinkler heads at no additional charge. We will definitely be calling him for a tune up and adding additional sprinklers to the yard soon. read more

F-L-A-K-E...I should have listened to Erin. We installed some pavers and took out some turf and the workers did something to the system. I called and left a message to schedule a bid on repairing the zone and converting a zone to a drip system. They called my promptly back and listened to what I needed done. We scheduled an appointment for the next day. Same story as Erin, they no showed and never called. I never heard back from them. read more

Excellent service and reasonable rates. John knows what he is talking about and takes pride in his good work.

John has worked on many of our jobs & he always does a great job. He shows up when we need him & he does quality work. What more do you want from your sprinkler expert. Thanks John! read more

I am thoroughly impressed with the service that John and his team provided. This was work provided a couple of months ago but am just getting around to submitting the review. I had a problem with my landscape drainage that would cause major flooding in the backyard since the drainage pipes were clogged and water could not escape and drain into the font yard. I had paid for "hydro jet" service from two different contractors who could not resolve the problem. I ended up getting several estimates from Landscape contractors, but most of them did not seem to know much about how to fix existing landscape drainage issues that are clogged underneath concrete. My drains have to flow approximately 250 feet down the driveway to the gutters, and no one had been able to diagnose where the clog was, even with a camera. John came in and explained that he had worked on many jobs with similar issues and could resolve my issue. Although this was a small size job, and he was very busy, he was able to work me into his schedule and finished the job with a couple of days of work. His Supervisor, Pedro, is very knowledgeable, and with just a couple of hours of excavation and troubleshooting, identified the section that was clogged. They cut out a section of the concrete and replaced the sections that were clogged with roots like a "cork" and now the drainage is working like new! They also patched the concrete section that was removed. I highly recommend John and his team, they are very communicative and knowledgeable. read more

John just left and I am very happy with the service he provided. My sprinkler system is original to the house and hasn't been updated in 30+ years. There was a sprinkler head in the front yard that I have repaired a dozen times and I finally got fed up and called a professional in to help solve the problem permanently. He showed up on time, was knowledgeable and friendly. He explained my options and got to work right away. The immediate problem is fixed and he provided an estimate on how to update the entire system including putting it on a timer. (yeah, the sprinkler system is that old, I have to manually turn it on and off) I will absolutely use Sprinkler Solutions again in the future. read more

We moved into a new house and the sprinkler system in the yard wasn't working. John from Sprinkler Solutions came out within one business day, explained exactly what needed to be done, and he and his crew were back two days later to do the work. They were on time and on budget, and price was reasonable. He showed me what they had done and how to work the new sprinkler timer. I couldn't be happier with their service and would recommend them to anyone. read more

John and his team were very responsive to my service request. My system was malfunctioning and I needed repairs on a tight time schedule. John was out promptly, proposed a new controller (much needed) and laid out a plan for reconfiguring our system. The work was done the following day, and included a complete walk through of the coverage improvements as well as programming of our new timer. I would highly recommend John and his crew as they were very professional and addressed all of my needs promptly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this firm for anyone needing a new irrigation installation or repairs/improvements to an existing system. read more

I am very pleased with the service we received!! John came out last Saturday for a quote. He was prompt, friendly, and really helpful in explaining our different options. Once my husband and I decided what option we wanted to go with, John came out with his team today, and came back this evening (after work) to walk me through what they'd done. He again took his time to explain everything they'd done, additional things they'd found in doing the work, and what future work we should keep in mind. John also took the time to answer my questions about general lawn care and helped me set my sprinkler timer! You don't often find this quality of workmanship and consideration for the client, so I REALLY appreciate it! Definitely recommend this John and his team! read more

Great company and great owner. They did an amazing job on our yard. Super super clean after work. Do not hesitate to use them!

John was great. It was easy to schedule a time and he fixed my problem easily. I'll call him in the future if I have another problem.

Called Sprinkler Solutions due to great Yelp reviews. I made an appointment with him at 2:30 last Saturday. He arrived at 4pm, gave me an estimate, said he'd be ther e to do the work Tuesday or Wednesday. It is now Thursday evening and he hasn't shown up or called to explain. I even called this morning asking for a return call. I left a message on their voicemail tonight stating that I do not want them to do any work on my sprinkler system. I can't understand how anyone runs a business this way. read more

Left a message for some sprinkler work. John called back, but apparently he was trying to reach someone else and called by mistake. So he made an estimate appointment with me for the next day at 6pm. The next morning he calls again, oblivious to having already make the appointment, so we reconfirmed the appointment for 6pm. By the time 6pm rolled around, John just flat out no-showed. No calls, no follow up. Last time I went ahead with a contractor like this the job ended to be a disaster. I'm just glad I didn't take time off of work in the middle of the day to wait for him. read more

After my husband botched a DIY job changing out a leaking sprinkler valve which resulted in two visits by our water district who ultimately turned off our water at the main line leaving us with no water, I immediately turned to Yelp and found Sprinkler Solutions. My husband called late Saturday evening, and John arrived early Sunday morning and replaced two valves, set the automatic timer and gave suggestions on future work my husband inquired about. Needless to say, we were extremely happy with Sprinkler Solutions' work and highly recommend them. read more

John was amazing! I can't express my gratitude for his ability to expedite a quote to replace all 12 zones on my sprinkler system. Even more awesome, he was able to get all my valves replaced and my timer all set up properly for the types of irrigation my grass, flower beds and tree areas each needed the very next day!!! He's basically a hero in my book because my entire landscape has been in jeopardy of death for lack of ability to water it all by hand since my sprinklers had been non-operational. Thank you Sprinkler Solutions! You certainly solved my irrigation challenge! read more

Excellent service and customer service. John runs his business the way most businesses should be run: professionally and with pride of ownership. Our back yard had sprinkler coverage issues; we called John for a general repair job and the yard now looks wonderful. He customized the irrigation options to our needs via various types of sprinkler heads; very nice job and we could not be happier! Finally our plants are happy! read more

Got a solid quote for service. Work was done on time. No pressure in the upselling of addtional work - something I value in a service provider.
