I swore I would never be one of those people on yelp who write ridiculously long reviews.. but that…read moreall changed until I experienced this place! In case you don't want to read everything, just know that you should go here. NOW! :) I wanted to do something fun and different with my girlfriends this year for my birthday. I thought a cooking class would be fun so I turned to Groupon to see if there were any good deals. There were 3 in Seattle and 2 in Woodinville. I emailed each location to see if anyone had space for our group the weekend of my birthday. All (except one) were not very accommodating and the ones that I had spoke to weren't very friendly. I'm not sure if it was because I was using a deal on Groupon that was off putting to them, which has happened to me in the past. Dona from Winery Kitchen called me after reading my email and she was so warm and friendly. She told me that the weekend of my birthday they had a class going on which was not the one on groupon, it was actually more expensive (mozzarella making class). BUT Dona was so kind enough to offer me that class at the groupon rate for the weekend I wanted and she even put an event on the website that had a cupcake picture and titled it "Vicki's Birthday Party" How sweet is that?? The location was easy to find with the directions and address she sent. Upon arrival, I saw two buildings, one was a house and the other looked like a detached garage with cute wine barrels outside for decoration and a large "Winery Kitchen" sign. There was a sign that said Kitchen on the side of the house and an arrow pointing you to go around back. There were a few garden beds and a table where herbs were growing on the patio. I entered in through the sliding door and saw the class. You could tell it was new, but it had a rustic and warm feeling to it. Dona and the wine educator, Katrina, were both very sweet and welcoming. They even had a birthday note on the chalkboard for me and made cupcakes and strawberries with a delicious fruit dip! Since my friends are from Seattle and I am from the Auburn area, I told them I would just meet them there. I should have tried to meet with them before hand because sometimes they have a tendency to be late... and they were about 30 minutes late! Oh man.. how embarrassing. I felt so bad that we had to wait for them, but Dona was so patient and assured me it was ok. She waited for them to start. While we waited, she showed us around the small garden out back, we pulled out elephant garlic, and learned about the herbs she had growing. When my friends finally showed up, we began class. The class consisted of myself, 4 of my friends, and two other people. We were given name tags, aprons, and gloves. First, we went to the tasting room for an olive oil tasting, which was interesting and different for me me since I have never done that. I probably won't be drinking olive oil again anytime soon unless I had bread and balsamic vinegar to go with it ;) but it was a good experience to taste it because I never realized how different they could all taste and how it could affect the food you cook. Oh I almost forgot to talk about the tasting room! It was so beautifully decorated. It had a rustic barn feel. A chandelier in the middle of the room, marquee letters, and a long dark wooden table. We moved back into the kitchen to begin making mozzarella and pesto. We made two different kids of pesto, one with spinach and the other with basil. Dona kept assuring us to try to make our own recipe that fits our taste buds and it was so fun to try everyone else's food! When we were all done, we sat back in the tasting room, ate what we had made, and toasted with a glass of champagne. We also spent time talking and getting to know each other. This class was amazing, I can't say enough good things about it or Dona. She makes you feel welcome, is always laughing, and just a great person overall. Winery Kitchen just opened not too long ago and she has big plans for future classes and gardening. I know they will be very busy, so book a class here! You won't regret it :) I will definitely be back!

This is someplace I would definitely recommend for a small party setting, friends or family from out of town, or just a bonding session with buddies. Chef Dona and her team are professional, warm and very helpful. I would definitely do again!

The team kept us laughing the entire time, answered all our questions, the food was genuinely delicious, and nothing felt stressful or chaotic. I for one took home some new methods that I have put to work in my kitchen. What really stood out was the experience itself. It is such a fun and accessible concept. You can lean in and learn or just sit back and enjoy, and it works either way. They also graciously let us stay past our allotted time without making our very chatty group feel rushed, which was very appreciated. Sorry! Highly recommend. Perfect for groups and just a really fun, memorable night.

I drove by this place recently and decided to take a glance and pulled up the class schedule. I was…read moreso surprised to find a class that would work for me, prices were high, but the location and concept sounded like such fun. I was able to score a Black Friday sale and opted to check it out. I often take my partner to classes like this, but since it sounded so intimate and it would be my kind of people I opted to go by myself and still had a great time. I guess it opened about a year ago, but I had not heard anything about it until I happened to drive by and I am in Edmonds all the time. This venue is so cute on the inside with plenty of easy street parking on a week night. I appreciated the check in beverage and snack while we waited for everyone to get there and get started. There are alcoholic options available for purchase and I must say this does make this class slightly superior to some others that do not offer these type of beverage options. They also give you an apron to wear so you don't have to stress too much about wearing something appropriate for cooking. The huge table for 12, allows for great views of everything and really gives you a chance to interact with your seat mates if you are into that kind of thing. This place is big so you don't feel like you are confined to your seat in a claustrophobic room like some other class room settings. The class I took was My Big Fat Vegan Dinner, I have taken lots of vegan cooking classes, but none quite as fancy as this. I appreciate that they show you all the ingredients ahead of time and give you a hand out with the recipes. We even sampled some of the vegan feta ahead of time, vegan butter was also present. Its a full meal experience, so you socialize, cook and eat. Our class was taught by a local chef and we learned a lot about him and his philosophies on cooking. We all helped with the prep, with some people taking on more intensive jobs and others just helping with the cutting. We learned quite a bit about different ways to chop things, even made a stock with the leftover cuttings. I absolutely loved the pita bread we made, who knew it was so easy. The pickles were delicious and this is definitely something I am planning to make at home in the future. I've never even had vegan spanakopita before. Everything was tasty and I certainly left full. The dessert we made was even served with 2 kinds of vegan ice creams. We were also lucky enough to take home some leftovers which made for a delicious lunch the next day. I've been telling everyone I know about this in the hopes that they will continue to add vegan friendly classes, but even if you prefer different kinds of food you should totally check this out. I am already eying Vegan in the Spring and trying to convince myself to sign up.

You can tell she is thoughtful, kind, and efficient. Her communication and respectful ways make all the difference when someone cooks meals for you in your home. She is very responsive to our messages and always sends a menu for our review and input before the week's visit. I can tell she puts a lot of thought into what she prepares and thinks about our needs when suggesting each menu item. I don't usually enjoy people in my home while I'm working, but Renee is a delight and unobtrusive. Of course, she'll talk with you if you want, but there is no forced anything or awkwardness with her. She has a great vibe and will get right to work. She knows her craft so well that before you know it your home smells wonderful and your kitchen is as clean as it was before she got there (I honestly don't know how she does it). Renee has been cooking six servings of three meals for us flawlessly since we first met her. She even catered a large garden party we had last year where you could tell quantity did not jeopardize the quality of her food. Every bite was packed with delicious whole ingredients and no corner was cut. Renee can meet all of our dietary restrictions (gluten, dairy, nightshade, seed oil, and some nut intolerances) and offer meals that are incomparable to what we can find in restaurants or cook for ourselves. I cannot stress how delicious everything is. There has never been a time when we weren't blown away by her creations. The balance of flavor and spice is some of the most unique and delightful I have ever tasted. You can tell she's constantly learning new recipes and perfecting them for herself and her clients. Take a look at her Instagram! I'm always so intrigued by what she's up to. Her meals bring comfort and variety to our home. Not everyone in my family is vegan or has even tried vegan food before. Renee has proved time and time again that veganism is delicious. I'm thrilled we are one of her clients and grateful for every meal she makes. I would recommend her to anyone, 100%.

The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the place feels cluttered with mix match tables, dirty station right next to cashier, and signages on the windows. I really did enjoy it but I just think there is a lot of potential to be had here. The portion is definitely big and is loaded with tons of fruit, mochi, and a scoop of ice cream. The kicker is that I found myself wishing that it was layered between the ice. If you don't mix it up well, you're pretty much left with only ice which also didn't have that creamy/milky flavor that's usually present in the other bingsus I've had. Overall, would love more condensed milk or flavor to the ice. The counter was being run but two younger people who were both really kind and quick to service the steady stream of customers. It's a pleasant place to hang out and I'm hoping to see what else they have to offer!
