We are staying at the Artesian for a spa day! The girls and I decided to dine in the hotel and this was the spot! We were greeted quickly and seated. The waiter was very timely and responsive to our questions. He had a great disposition and described the food with so much excitement, we thought it would be fabulous. Just alittle disappointed all the hype wasn't accurately conveyed in the taste. Presentation pretty but good just okay. I had catfish dinner and the hush puppies were the star of the show. My vegan friends had vegetables and didn't like the hard uncooked carrots, or the mashed potatoes.. the french fries looked okay. The dining experience as far as aesthetic nice, clean appealing eating establishment. Do I have to go back, only if it's my last option! Thanks but no thanks!

Chicken fried steak, loaded, baked potato, asparagus

It cost me $22 to have a fresh hand battered chicken fried steak (not ground beef), with a loaded baked potato and asparagus. Plus a soda. It was all just perfectly cooked, seasoned and proportioned. Glad I chose to eat there even though I was alone, as it was just a lovely tasty meal.

Overall, from sitting down at our table through our meal, we were pleasantly surprised to be waited on hand and foot by our waiter Chance the Friday before Fathers Day. It was our first visit to the Artesian, let alone first experience at the Springs and I couldn't complain; my friend got the beef tips and stroganoff and I had the sirloin- both were delicious. Definitely grab the shrimp cargo before your meal and grab the cheesecake before you leave. Thank you for ending our great girls trip out with a dinner we can think back on for years. It was delightful!

The food was great, the fried zucchini was a great appetizer. The ambiance couldn't be better and the service was great.

The entree was unbelievable. Filet fit for a queen, grilled duck breast was surprisingly tender and so flavorful, Alaskan halibut was fresh and cooked to perfection, who needs the sides?! We could not finish our entrees and were offered to-go containers. Dessert of lemon cake with vanilla mousse and blackberry sauce was enjoyed as a midnight snack and left us dreaming of this fabulous meal. Cannot wait to visit again!

Must try: T-Bone Steak and a Double Deuce Beer!…read more Why: I've been craving steak for a few weeks and when I arrived at OKC a few people recommended Cattlemen's. Ordered a medium rare steak and it was juicy and tender. It was also a large steak. Meal came with a house salad, baked potato, bread and a roll. I was also going to order Lamb Fries as an appetizer, but the waitress was able to let me try one piece on the house - great service! It would have been way too much food for one person. I washed it all down with their refreshing Double Deuce Beer. Everything was flavorful and satisfying - the steak hit the spot for me. Notes: It was a quick drive from downtown. Right when I walked in I was welcomed by hostesses and seated immediately. Everyone was warm and friendly. Def felt historic and legendary inside with their table booths, photos, and decor. A great hearty meal for my last night in OKC!

The breakfast options and classic cuts are solid, and you can really feel the tradition in the place. My only real gripe was that my lunch steak came out medium-well when I asked for medium-rare, and it took a bit of flagging someone down to grab A.1. and refill my water since they were slamming through a big rush. Even with the temp being a little off, the flavor was still good and the friendly charm kept the visit really pleasant. The historic, nostalgic charm and the genuinely friendly hospitality are what make this iconic spot so enjoyable. The lamb fries were fried to a perfect golden crisp, the breakfast menu is legendary for a reason, and the whole restaurant carries that authentic western heritage vibe that is super hard to find these days. On top of that, the servers treat you like family from the moment you sit down.

Lots of variety, great seasoning, and plenty of sauces to choose from. The crab cake was next. Full of crab, not just filler. Exactly how it should be. For mains, I had the filet cooked perfectly with great seasoning. Others at the table had the New York strip and the chicken, and they both loved theirs. Sides were asparagus, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were out of this world. Drinks: The Old Smoky was good, and I did an espresso martini "creamy" which I really enjoyed. Dessert was the Bananas Foster done tableside. Amazing. Great presentation and even better taste. Service was on point the whole night. We shared the 16 ounce ribeye which was cooked and seasoned to perfection! Our baked potato was prepared and split for us and we enjoyed a 1/2 wedge salad with ranch dressing. Oh, and the bread went beautifully with the house butter. So creamy! The only negative was the music was a little too loud and the service was good, I just can't say outstanding. I would recommend the restaurant for a special occasion as it is a little pricey, but after all you are in a casino so that being considered it was reasonable for a steakhouse.
