I was starting to get in my truck when a lady wearing a stocking cap opened the door stating "I'm in a corporate meeting what do you need?" I advised her I wanted to rent a unit to store my car in, I could come back as she turned around walking back into the building as I followed her. She never invited me to sit down showing me a paper stating these are the only two units we have available. I stated "I wonder if this unit would house a Buick" to which she replied "This is what we have you can get one or leave," I walked out getting into my truck I noticed the gate was open with no signs indicating no one could enter. I drove back finding a door open on a unit that would be perfect for what I needed. As I pulled through the gate I parked at the office the same woman came out of the office door with the same AT-TI-TUDE she had when we first met. She asked me if I just drove back into where the units were. I indicated I had and she asked me very rudely, "Do you have anything in storage here? When I told her no she told me "DON'T YOU KNOW THIS IS A GATED FACILITY? COMMON SENSE WOULD TELL YOU NOT TO ENTER A GATED COMMUNITY! When I told her the gate was open with no signs indicating do not come in she replied THE GATE IS BROKEN and I advised her there were no signs indicating what she told me. I told her that I hope she got a better AT-TITUDE got in my truck and left. I was going to rent the storage unit I found with the door open but with her AT-TI-TUDE I left. I rented a unit awhile back to store my car in at Springfield Self Storage and wanted to store my car there again, With this ladies AT-TI-TUDE who did not introduce herself I will not go back or recommend Springfield Self Storage. Nobody at Springfield Self Storage has ever treated this way in the past!

I've been battling with these 2 for months His wife clearly…read morehas issues and likes to lie and start problems. Ended up having to call the police to my unit due to her neurotic behavior. Now there's a missing payment Funny how they can call and harass us about a smell that isn't there but they can't let us know about a missing payment? They can cause police to be called but can't find a missing payment? The missing payment is just more bs from his highly unprofessional wife. We take pics of each money order we get. Pics at walmart,in the car,with the name and unit,at their mailbox and inside their mailbox. We wouldn't have to have a money order if his wife would stop locking us out of our account online the second their payment processor doesn't process the payment day it's due. So much for the grace period with that. Which is a violation of the contract. We have had to have our lawyers reach out to them twice last year to inform them to pull their heads from their asses about violating the contract. Clearly they need a 3rd conversation. Also Katy gave expressed permission for them to talk to me about this account numerous times they refuse. So don't hold your breath on them being adults. If you ever give them a money order keep records of it. There's a number on the back you can call and give them the check number to see if it's been cashed. Which is what we're doing now. Sucks to suck. Always record your phone calls with these people. They are conniving smchucks that you can't trust.

My experience here has been terrible…read morewhen I first rented here it was under different management and it was great then but the people who are there now are terrible the security is not what they claim there is not onsite security around the clock they have someone who lives there but that lot is not monitored my unit was one of 7 units at least that was recently broken into the management never notified me about the theft they claimed they didn't know it had been burglarized and the manager there admitted she had not checked the lot after the thefts were reported to her and she wasn't required to check the units until the first of every month. Then after I moved what I was left with out of the unit they tried to charge me another months rent on the unit. I can't get anyone to return calls and I tried multiple times to contact the customer service line but the reps there are no help and I have tried to contact the district manager Fred Leonow and cannot get a response from him either. Then one call I did receive from public storage they called at 845 pm held the line and never responded when I answered the phone I am out thousands of dollars in property this company never even offered an apology and they have been no help in trying to resolve the problem and the insurance they force you to take is a waste of money as well. Don't waste you time money and energy on this place it's not worth it I definitely will never use any public storage again
