I came to this business before and the service was just OK. This time my experience was just…read morehorrible. I came for repairs like last time and right off the gal that took my information was half asleep and uninterested. I guess she took my concerns down so I figured I'd continue and see how it goes, a mistake that was. The following week the tech, who "worked" on my laptops, contacted me by phone and he proceed to lecture me about my laptops being too old and he strongly recommended I not connect to the internet with them. He kept on about it through out the call, even though it was not was i was wanting or asking help on, I needed physical repairs on two of them. He spoke like he was an expert but said he couldn't fix them. It seemed like he was pushing me to purchase new laptops they sell as mine were too far gone. He charged me $50 a piece and all i got was a fixed pin in the charging port of one. I was a bit upset about this conversation but figured i could read his notes on my invoice for better understanding as I was at work when he called. I asked him to put what he did on the invoice and I would come and get the laptops soon. When I arrived I paid the $150 for the "repairs" and took the receipt. On my way home i reviewed the invoice and got even more upset. The tech pretty much gave me another similar lecture about the computers being too old, "20 years old" which was a complete lie. He did not document what he did and didn't even put the right customer's account information on the invoice like my name and address. It was under someone else. I was so upset that they didn't do much of anything I called them when I got home. I called their store and briefly spoke with the tech as he picked up the phone, I demanded to speak with the owner and the tech supposedly forwarded my message to the owner (Chad) as Chad wasn't available at the moment. Over the next week I attempted to contact Chad but could only leave messages with the tech. Chad would take his time and call me back when I was not available. We played a little phone tag but I discontinued my efforts to get satisfaction when Chad continued to call me at times when I was at work and I requested for him to call me afterwards. He didn't and he made no additional efforts to address my concerns. This was a bad experience. Watch these guys if you have repairs that are needed as they'll take your money and its a real possibility they'll rip you off, as that is completely how i feel. I will not go back as I had my laptops repaired elsewhere in town. BEWARE!

I did a Yelp search and inquiry and Dan replied within a few hours. I dropped off my phone to get worked on and when I went back to pick it up he noticed that the screen had been damaged during the battery replacement. Before I could say a word he told me how he was going to replace the screen at no cost. When I told him I was only in town for a short time he made sure to get a replacement screen delivered the next day. Unfortunately the replacement screen was faulty but Dan went above and beyond to complete the job and fully repair my phone that very same day! I hate updating my IOS, I hate deleting pictures off my iPhone, I hate really anything having to do with any sort of technological maintenance. I am also the type of person that does not have the newest iPhone and is not interested in getting the newest iPhone. SO, when I was tasked with getting a new battery for not new iPhone, I was dreading the whole experience. My lovely Battery is four years old and unfortunately its max life was only at 80%. My husband strongly urged me to get a new battery installed. Sigh. I did my homework and yelp informed me that Springfield iPhone repair was the place to go. I patiently waited until 10 AM this morning to call dan and make sure that he had my vintage battery in stock which he did. Luckily I found street parking and was able to get into Dan so he could replace my battery in a jiffy. I opted to wait for my phone which provided me with a chance to overhear Dan helping various people on the phone with patience and unparalleled expertise. The employee that assisted me said he'll fix the hinge and give me a call back later that day about the battery situation. A whole week went by and no phone call, so I called them back. I explained my situation to the employee and he said he was completely oblivion about the situation/information of my laptop, so he said he'll look into it and call me back. He called be back and said the hinge is fixed but the battery will have to be ordered. A couple of days went by and I called. The employee first said its not the battery that's the problem, it's the motherboard.....SAY WHAT!!!! I told him I'll keep managing my laptop, when can I come to pick it up? He said I can come later today, we close at 6. So I went to pick it up and he told me that the battery was the problem and that he replaced it. So I asked him that I won't have to keep it plugged in to stay on? He said yes. I paid and left. As soon as I got home, I turned the computer on and it started to flicker, as if it's about to die but the battery is fully charged. It has been 16 days since my laptop got "fixed" and I still have to leave it plugged in to use it. I'm not sure what he "fixed" but I think I got ripped off!

The laptop eventually ran out of battery and the charging light wouldn't even come on. So I took it back and apparently when doing the hard-drive repair they hadn't reconnected some of the wiring inside the laptop, therefore making it unable to charge. They fixed it but I'm still pissed that that even happened! If you're going to repair laptops at least put them back together properly.

They said their field guy was in college and it was finals week and they would be able to get to me for TWO WEEKS. This after I'd spent a week trying to get an answer out of them. I'm not trying to get my computer up and running on a lark. I run a business out of my home office. I've got client projects stacking up and need a PROFESSIONAL computer service that actually works with and services it's customers. Altec obviously isn't it.
