This place provides a really good service to the community; I wish that more people knew about it and took advantage of it. Basically it's a place to dispose of old electronics and whatnot - some things they will take for free, and others you pay a nominal charge. This is a great service because there are many things that should NOT go into the regular trash, including BATTERIES and many types of electronic devices. I brought an old microwave there and a bunch of dead batteries to dispose of them. The man working there was very nice and even pulled the microwave out of the car for me (I was pretty pregnant at the time). I'd definitely recommend that everyone in town bring their old/broken electronics and dead batteries there!! read more

Good place if you need older electronics from the early 2000's to the 2010's not really anything modern but there's some good stuff to find. Has some older PCs available for somewhat of a good price. But there's are some hidden gems. The only bad thing is that they don't sell used phones that can be used for parts. Other than that the selection of items was very good even older electronics and legacy items. read more

The prices for the used computers and parts they sell are absolutely ridiculous. You can buy new parts for the same price they want for 3-5 year old stuff. Just buy off Amazon and save your money. read more

Great service. Very polite. And they recycle just about everything! They even hauled away a dead fridge for us, at a very reasonable price.

I can't speak to the recycling side of this business since I came from out of town with no electronics to recycle. But as for the small "upcycling store" here, it's a pretty good place to browse, especially for furniture or comic books. The young men working were very friendly and welcoming. They had such a unique mix of items on offer here from weird, wacky home decor like "the onion man" up front to beer coasters, vintage coloring books with a few pages colored, and boxes full of surplus shoes. Weird but cool. I saw several very good prices on furniture items and a massive, custom-looking bar that would grace anyone's basement to excellent effect. Prices seemed a little random to me, not bad but I suppose personal taste accounts for some of my confusion. I saw things I'd like to have in my home for an affordable price tag and then ugly repainted items for twice as much. Definitely a place to stop in and check out, especially if you like to browse surplus and secondhand! read more

What is odd was we had received a phone call from Shred It right before we set off to confirm. There is a huge issue between this Springfield MO Shred it location and the Shred It Corporate Office. There is no way for customers to call the local Shred It office to determine if they are open during the times they state they accept drop off shredding. Do not recommend this business for your shredding needs. It is very disappointing because we had to pay online in advance, too.
