We had several different technicians here including their boss & everyone was so friendly & worked hard to make things right. When you call you get a real person & they send someone out that day. Not only was the best price, but they have proven to me over the years that they are not just about $$. They have built some good ethos with me. This is my third time dealing with pure. The first time was a couple years ago when I asked them to come out and evaluate our water softener. We have well water, and when we purchased the house, we knew nothing about the water softener. The owner came out and told us we did not need a new water softener, and he spent about an hour showing us how to maintain and use the water softener. It's always a bonus when you're looking for a new water softener and the owner tells you...' as much as I'd like to sell you a new water softener, you don't need it'. The second time was two years later when I had them come out and service everything, changed the filters and all that stuff. This was a less than enjoyable experience. When the technician was done, my reverse osmosis spout would not turn off. It was doing fine before he arrived. I asked him about it, and he got defensive in a little bit short with me. He did replace the spout and didn't charge me for it. I called the business and told the owner the guy was a bit rude and short with me. Also, I felt I was being overcharged. The owner looked at the bill and said everything was on target and he said he never had an issue with that technician. Maybe he was just having a bad day. But the nice thing was, The owner did offer to reduce the service charge. I told him that if I was not overcharged, then no, I did not need a discount. But he offered, and that was important. So with the history, and the price I decided to use them and so far I'm very happy. After a few weeks, the sales person came out and checked the whole system and brought a few bags of complementary salt.

Ever since they switched owners we have had multiple issues with our service.. we used to get water…read moreevery other Monday and never had one issue. They switch our delivery day to Thursday but after not receiving it for several Thursdays in a row they switched it again to Friday. Which is fine or whatever I just think they could have talked to us about it instead of just not showing up on Thursday ever again? We had to email them to figure out what was going on. My biggest issue is that they never even came today!? We are out of water.... They are closed over the weekend.. They even sent us an reminder email that today was our day and not to forget to put our water out?? We've been dealing with this for months now. We have been understanding with the whole switching owners being a big transition and all but I think it's been several months and they still haven't worked out the kinks. Also.. has anyone else noticed the water tastes different then it did previously?? Maybe it's just me but. Hope they can get it together this is truly disappointing:(

I think I need to update my review from 14 years ago!!!!…read more I stand by my original post: How wonderful to have a real grocery store that specializes in local and organic products. Much of the produce is locally grown, or locally adjacent (AKA California) OK, Bananas do not grow in the Great Basin. The origin of the produce is identified. They work with local farmers, bakeries, and other local businesses for the food and non-food items. They no longer have the upstairs restaurant but they do have a kitchen and make ready to go items. I love picking up a fresh salad (some with meat some purely vegan/vegetarian) , a yummy very generously filled wrap, house made cookies and other delectable treats. They have a large selection of locally produced meats. Lots of organic canned goods, dairy and non-dairy items . . . the list goes on. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Memberships are available (20$/year) with a once a month 10% off of your total purchase. You do NOT need a membership to shop here. It's small and a bit cramped but there is a lot of good stuff there. It's clean and friendly and completely locally owned.

In that time frame, I have had an issue almost EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. First of all, they keep you locked on autopay. I understand the importance here but if they're gonna do that, I'd expect them to uphold the minimum delivery request. Then, I had issues with charges not being consistent. One month I paid like $30, the next month, my bill was $150. Mind you, nothing increased in my order. I have had the same request of 4 bottles/mo on a regular basis. But my biggest issue is I have had repeated delivery issues which resulted in less bottles than ordered. Sometimes it was 1 less, other times it was 2 less. If I am paying for a reoccurring service, I am expecting that service to remain the same unless changes are communicated in advance. On several occasions, I have had to reach out because I got half my order. If I didn't need 4 bottles, I wouldn't order 4 bottles. So then I have to wait for an additional delivery with an expected delivery charge, unless I specifically state that I won't pay a separate fee for their incompetence. What's even better is on one occasion, I not only received an incomplete order, I received the incorrect water! While this might not be a big deal for some, it's a big deal if you can clearly taste the quality difference. The whole point of having this service is to avoid having countless water bottles filling up a landfill. But at this point, it seems like the only way to guarantee we're staying hydrated is to go that route.
