It's been 7 years since I first reviewed Crust & I'm pleased to inform my fellow Yelpers that I…read morelove it just as much now as I did then. All these years later and it's still my favorite pizza place. I hadn't been in quite a while before this past weekend, so I was a little nervous that it had changed and maybe wouldn't be as good anymore. Much to my pleasant surprise, everything was exactly as I remembered it! I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who took our order. She was so kind & genuinely seemed to enjoy interacting with customers. I didn't see my usual favorite (Mr. Potato Head) on the menu so I assumed they discontinued it. However, we asked after we ordered and she said it's still a menu item! So I'll have to make sure to go back and get it the next time. My husband and I split a chicken Caesar salad and a medium pizza, though we could've easily gone down to a small size. They really don't cheat you out of toppings & that's one thing I'll always appreciate about this restaurant! I'm eager to bring it back into my local restaurant lunch rotation.

Ambiance: Local hidden gem pizza spot off Kuykendahl serving a variety of pizzas, wings, and pasta…read more As a heads up: This is a DoorDash delivery/to-go spot, they do not have any indoor dining tables. Quick service, took us about 20 mins to place an order and get our pizza and wings. Amazing deals! The wings are about $1 each and they had multiple options - loved the garlic parm! The lemon pepper was a bit too lemony for my taste. Our pizza was delicious! Light, great crust, and amazing flavor. Also the large is 12! We ordered the chicken Alfredo pizza and loved it. Had for lunch and still have half for leftovers. Zinella's will be our new spot for pizza delivery!

The stores AC was out, so it was hotttt in the store. But it didn't affect the quality of the pizza or customer service. The cashier was the only person working; she was soooo sweet and helpful. I ended up getting a large 1/2 bbq chicken 1/2 4 meat, a personal pizza w bacon (for only $5!!!!!) AMAZING!!!) and some hot wings. The pizza was really good! Crust wasn't too thick, nice and saucy (I LOVE PIZZA SAUCE) and the toppings were nice and fresh. The wings were just ok; skin was not hard like we like but it was no biggie. Would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Frustrated and confused…read more I saw that this place had great reviews, so decided to try it out, but sadly, our experience did not live up to the hype. We placed our online delivery order at 7:09 and estimated delivery was 7:50 to 8:05. Order was delivered at 8:45, but hey, stuff happens right? Even though we live within 2 miles of the place. Side note:before I ordered, I made sure to give over 20% tip because I worked in the service industry and IYKYK... Ordered two pizzas: 10 inch vegetarian and 12 inch Chicken delight. We RECEIVED a 12 inch vegetarian and a 10 inch Chicken delight. We ordered a 2 liter of root beer. We RECEIVED a 2 liter bottle of Coke. The side of Alfredo we ordered was freezing (like it came out of a freezer) type of freezing. Both pizzas were cold and hard like they had been sitting. Lacking in flavor, tasted like cardboard. I don't understand how this place has so many high ratings--it was NOT good at all! All in all: Spent over 90 dollars to get the wrong pizzas (which didn't taste good anyway) the wrong beverage, freezing cold sauce and it was 40 minutes late. They did get the salad right, so kudos on that. Mostly just disappointed because we had really high hopes for this place, but definitely will not be reordering.

I'm from NY, and I've been here in Spring for 6 1/2 years. Tony's is the closest to the "real"…read morepizza I grew up with in Brooklyn, NY, the home of authentic pizza. I think it's the water in NY that makes the pizza there so good. I found that even acceptable pizza in NY is head and shoulders better than the pizza here in Houston. But then I found Tony's on Louetta, by far, the best pizza in Texas. My search is over, and I'm now happy.

Tony's New York Pizza II is a solid neighborhood pizza spot that met my expectations overall. The…read morecheese pizza actually tasted like something you'd find in New York, which I appreciated. Now full transparency, my husband is a New Yorker, and by his standards it was average for NY pizza. But judging by my Houston palate I thought it was good. The calzone was my favorite. Adding the optional ricotta made all the difference. It took it from a 4 to a 7. The only downside was the pepperoni. I could literally count the slices and wished there were more. That said, the bread texture was wonderful, and that same great texture carried over to the garlic knots, which I really enjoyed. I think trying meatball, or a supreme (heavier on the meat) version would be fantastic. When I go back I'll that and be sure to update. We also tried the chicken parm sub. It was okay, though my husband thought it was subpar. Personally, I think the tomato sauce did a lot of the heavy lifting flavor-wise. Surprisingly, I really liked the cannoli filling, which says a lot because I usually don't care for cannolis. They often don't taste like much to me, but this one did. The inside of the place is very quaint and mom-and-pop, which I loved. Service was great. I ordered to go, was told 20-25 minutes, and the food was ready in about half that time. All in all, this is a solid pizza place for locals, and I'd absolutely come back to try more items on the menu. I want to try the original place and see if it's better. I mean, it should taste the same right? (Will update when I find this out).
