Was looking for somewhere to get my nails done in Fremont, since I usually get them done in San Jose but was too lazy to drive all the way to SJ this weekend. Found Spring Nails and decided to give them a try since it was literally a 2-3 mile drive from my house. Called ahead to ask for prices but did not make an appointment and I walked in around 4:30 PM on a Saturday. They were able to accommodate me without a wait even though they did mention they were fully booked at 5 pm. Location: right on the corner of lake arrowhead and fremont blvd, in a small plaza. lots of parking, even though the parking lot is shared with several other small businesses. didn't get a chance to get the girl's name, but service was pretty good! I asked for a full acrylic set and she was super patient with me when I was looking for the exact color I wanted - I had a picture off google of what i had in mind and I really wanted the exact / very similar color. She was very patient while i sifted through all the nail polish options and would offer her opinion if she thought she saw one that I would like. The only complaint I have is that after 2 days, my nail color has started to come off and I've noticed tiny bubbles from the nail polish coat under. I don't think my nail color has ever come off so quickly ... and for $40... I feel like with that price the nails should've at least stayed a week. Overall a decent experience, but definitely wish my nails did not start wearing after a day or 2. The pricing was super average for bay area, so there's definitely other places I can try for a full set acrylic for $40. read more

First of all, this place is AMAZING. They are super accommodating, kind, welcoming. I've been coming here for 3 years irregularly and I've always left happy. I just got a dip manicure in the color 117 and it's a beautiful nude with a little shimmer. Sophia is so detailed and I love working with her, she listens to my ideas and even offers to help pick colors. Everyone here is so good at their craft I have so much respect for them. LONG OVERDUE REVIEW: I'm guessing new owner again. I used to come to this place ALL THE TIME before change of owners. I came in to get my nails removed and I was refused service. Mind you it was not busy, there was enough workers and there was 1-2 hours before closing time. Upon entering I was asked what I wanted and said my nails removed. I sat down and again the lady asked me then she kept talking in her own language. She asked me to come back again and I said i couldn't, so she just kept asking and telling me to come back again very rudely. All she had to do was put my nails in some acetone, it's a 10 minute job. * it is extremely rude when employees treat customers in such way and talk in another language in front of them. This is my third time coming to this place, they are very friendly and their prices are reasonable , the place is clean and welcoming, these girls are gentle and listen to what you want. I have gotten my nails done by Sophia and Kelly and they are both good. They accept walk ins but I suggest to call and ask if they are busy before arriving since most of the time they are. I have been here twice. First time, I was a walk-in and they estimated a 30 minute wait. They took me before the 30 minutes was up. I appreciate they gave an accurate time estimate. Second time, I called and they said come in at the moment. Both times I received, great service. I don't like the callus remover (that looks like a cheese grater) and am very upfront when they offer that service. I love this place! I have been to a lot of nail places but no place beats this one! I came to Spring Nails for the first time last May for my senior prom. Sophia did my prom nails and I was in awe at how meticulous she was with the designs. She has been doing my nails since! I'd only stopped coming for a while because the summer job I had did allow us to have nails. After that ended I can't seem to stop coming back! This has become my regular go-to place for nails, the photos do not give the nails much justice. I have been going to this other salon for almost 3 years and I've been happy but these past few months my gel manicure would chip after 2 weeks.Before, I'd get 4-5 weeks out of them. I figured I needed to let my nails breathe a little. I skipped a month and the same thing happened. I went to New York and got my nails done for fun and it lasted, come back to my regular salon....and it goes back to chipping. So I took almost 2 months off again to let them breathe and I started looking for a new salon. I think I checked like 8 different places but Spring Nails came up and it was in close proximity to where I live. I saw all great reviews and decided to make an appointment, I figure if I'm not happy, I'll keep looking. But I walk in....Sophia did my gel manicure and she did a really good job and was pretty quick. And they lasted, no chipping. I got my toes done also and as expected, being in the sand and pool almost all day for 10 days....polish started to wear off. I figured that was going to happen so no complaints there or questioning why it happened. I came in today because I'm going on vacation again and wanted a new color, I usually never go so close together but I figured why not? Really happy with my nails today. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Spring Nails. I came here in the middle of the day on a Monday and there was about a 20 minute wait for a gel manicure. The two that were working were very friendly and most definitely confident and efficient with their work. The environment was very quiet, nothing too special on the walls in there, but peaceful and appropriate. They have a really nice selection for gel nails, and they charge $25, which is very decent for the area... Most other salons charge $28. In my experience with other salons who charge more, they do a more thorough job here, and I will definitely be planning to come back. I had my 11 month old daughter with me when I went and they were so patient and receptive with her even though it was definitely a little stressful having to keep her entertained. The above and beyond factor that blew me away with Spring Nails is I came back two days later to have my nails fixed (I'm moving houses and was painting) and they re-did the paint on the nails that got damaged and also replaced the top coat on all the nails... Been here way too many times and it only gets worse. Such a disappointment cause us ladies KNOW how hard it is to find a great nail shop. Came here 6/27/16 for a simple mani/pedi. Ladies were in consistent, one would start cutting my nails and then leave to tend another customer. Then another lady came to finish my nails but noticed she was using the same gloves she used to touch another ladies feet with. I could see the red nail polish on her gloves from her former client. DISGUSTING. I noticed one of my nails crooked and she was bickering at me that to her it was not? Also, if I ask for a simple mani/pedi, don't make a customer feel bad for not getting gel. These ladies consistently were saying gel is better, gel doesn't come off. I am AWARE of that. Water was cold, my feet were sitting there for more than 20 mins. Could of done them myself * unsanitary * rushed work * rude employees Don't waste your time, prices are great but you'll be waiting for HOURS with a shitty job. Lesson learned. read more

I am updating my review because I came here a third time and was not pleased so I gave up and found somewhere better. The third visit: I made an appointment, per usual, with the same girl, Oanh. She refilled my nails but then she had Annie paint them. AGAIN, i specifically make an appointment to get my nails done with YOU, not someone else. I understand they want to accommodate EVERYONE that comes in asking for her bc she is great at her work but thats no excuse for someone who took the time to make the appointment. If you don't honor your appointment schedules, then I wont be coming back. Annie who painted my nails isn't even good. It wasn't CLEAN at all, it hardened on my skin and the jewels she glued were uneven....it was so simple too. I wanted a permanent nail tech and they weren't providing that to me since I can never have the person who i SCHEDULED with do my nails. I won't be coming back. I found a better place with much more nail techs that can accommodate me and my needs. I went to Spring Nails with a friend after hearing about their $15 pedicure, $20 shellac manicure. We were greeted immediately upon entering, and were asked to sit down. We only waited about 10-15 minutes before getting a spa chair for our pedicures. Overall, service was great. You could tell that they weren't intentionally being sloppy, but let's be honest.. I had to ask my manicurist to even out my square nail - TWICE. For some reason, she couldn't clearly see that my thumbnails were at a jagged slant. After finally filing both sides of my thumb evenly, I put my thumbs together and found out that they were two different lengths. I give Spring Nails 5/5 stars for price, but 3/5 stars for their actual work. I showed my manicurist a simple nail design on my phone; one base color with glitter ovals. When seeing that she wasn't capturing my vision, I asked her to paint my entire nail with the accent color instead. After all is said and done, I'm pleased with my nails and pleased with the price I paid, but take issue to how well my requests were received. I'll come back again, but will show pictures and insist that they stick to what's shown in the pictures! read more

I wanted to get my nails done for my birthday weekend and a friend had recommended spring nails, and her nails always look fab! Came in around 2:30pm on a Friday and was seated just 10 minutes after. I showed a picture to Oanh of the shape and length I wanted, and she got it down perfectly. She was very friendly and funny so she made me feel very comfortable unlike other nail salons where they don't really talk to you. The only thing is that she had to constantly stop doing my nails and pick up the phone, but it was a Friday and it was getting quite busy by the this time. Plus, she did an amazing job on my nails so I'm not surprised about how many appointments she was making on the phone. The last two times I've been here, Annie was the one who did my fills. These two are officially my go-to ladies because they're so meticulous about their work and really make sure you leave happy! They go easy on the cuticles, which is a big plus. I actually came in a little bit earlier than the time I called in for; and she did have a client, but I didn't mind the wait at all since I looked for a gel color, anyway. It was actually not busy at all today, as well. During the entire time, she took her time to make sure each nail was shaped to my liking, etc. She was also very nice to talk to, and asked if it was my first time in there, which it was. She also told me that if I needed anything changed or wasn't happy with anything to let them know and they will fix it for you, no problem. I was very pleased to hear that because I actually decided to change my gel color and added a design with no problem, at all. This is my second time at Springs Nails, since it opened 8 months ago, under new ownership. I had both pedicure and manicure with Sophia and May, the new owners. Under the new management the shop is very clean and sanitized with their plastic insert into the pedicure spa. The old owner did not have keep the salon clean and did not sanitized the spa as clean as Sophia and May have kept it. They are both friendly and do a good job. I come in once a week, usually in the evening after work, & it's like I'm chillin' with my homegirls ;) They're all so fun to talk with & they're hella funny too. Oanh always does my stiletto nails, Gina always does my coffin shape nails, but they're all good with pedicures. I especially love the hot stone foot massage! Updated to add photos I made an appointment Mey(?) for a Tuesday afternoon and it was pretty quiet inside so they will probably have no trouble taking walk-ins, but I always make an appointment to be safe. I got a full set acrylic with gel polish for $35 + $5 for removing my old set. The whole process took a little longer than other nail salons I have been to, but that's because Mey really took her time to make sure the shape was correct and the acrylic wasn't too thick. She was very patient when I was choosing the color I wanted and she swatched a couple on my nails to help me choose. Horrible customer service!!! AVOID this place if you want a quality job done with quality products! Paid for an extra service despite stating what I wanted. No base coat used, and a top coat of gel despite the fact I said no gel, regular polish. I'm pregnant and can't do it myself or I would have. I call to explain, first she says sorry well fix it for u, come in. Then gets off phone and says it was regular polish and was not dry. I had two people including her check the polish before I left yesterday if it was dry. They said it was dry. I let it dry for the rest of night and took a shower 4 hours after...when I got out the shower my nail was no longer shiny and felt sticky....that has NEVER happened when I got a regular pedi. Today I wore socks and when I took them off, lint was stuck to it and it was like peeling it off. The only time it leaves a finish like that is if it was gel polish. If not, then their top coat is the cheapest quality I've ever seen, was not a name brand for sure. I get everyone makes mistakes as she stated in the first call...but own up to ur sh*t!! She called me back to basically say ot was regular polish and" if I felt that they did a bad job I don't have to come back "and hung up on me. Forget that 1 second before she asked me to come in and we can fix for u no problem. I paid $53 dollars for a pedicure that I will have to get redone elsewhere.
